The Coffee Shop in a Different World Station

16 Ingredients I would like to spread with exotic people (1/3)

"It's been a while. How was your trip on the new boat?

On that day, Sabbath Silva was welcoming guests in the office of the Silva Chamber of Commerce in the Harbor District of Harpertown. It was Johann Loudendorf and his wife Nicole who visited Sabbath. This is the younger third generation of Dunkel Unt Kersch, a foreign commercial company that separates the oceans. Johann grips back firmly the right hand offered by Sabbath and greets him with a firm handshake.

"Thanks to you, it's been a good trip, a week earlier than when I came here two years ago,"

"Thanks to the weather, I had very little seasickness to worry about. Yes, this way, please."

When Nicole says so, she gives Sabbath the crate she brings with her. When Sabbath, who received the box, opened the lid, there were three slightly larger, wide-mouthed bottles in the box filled with buffer substitute sawdust in the gap. Inside the bottle is a slightly dull reddish brown bar-shaped object. Sabbath, who looked familiar in this contents, raises his face and sends his gaze to the two sitting in the front to confirm silently.

"This is Vurst (intestinal stuffing), our hometown, which we plan to launch as the main item at this exposition. Enjoy."

Johan nods with a confident look. Sabbath's memories are awakened when he and his wife visit the exotic lands in which they live, looking at Vurst being watered in a bottle. Sometimes just around the time of the fall harvest festival, in the city where they lived, Vurst was burned everywhere, and the whole city was covered with bears (beer) poured out of a large glass with a handle. In its hustle and liveliness, Sabbath also remembered being heart-danced.

"No, Vurst had a really brilliant taste then. That crisp toothfeel and prickly texture...... I can still remember clearly. But sure, I heard Vurst didn't have that much sunshine, but what if this bottle...?

Sabbath speaks of a "problem” presumably solved by the bottle in front of him, recalling the explanation he received at the time. In contrast, they all nodded lightly and showed their willingness to consent.

"Yeah, by devising a way to bottle it, it's long enough to withstand the voyage, and it can still preserve the deliciousness of Vurst."

"Actually, this ingenuity is what my wife took center stage and thought of me as the staff of the company. Now Vurst can ship here as well. Thank you so much for your wife's efforts."

To the two words, Sabbath nodded satisfactorily as he touched the white beard he had stored in his mouth.

"I see, no, I got something really great. Thank you."

Sabbath lowered his head, saying so, and pulled the bottle back to the box and leaned over to the side of the table. At that time, it caught my eye that Nicole was sticking Johann with her elbow. Leaning his little neck and staring at the two, Johann noticed that gaze, coughing one up and opening his tease.

"No, so I have one favor to ask..."

Sabbath shifts his gaze to Johann as he re-sits on the couch. It's a serious look at all times. I waited still for Johann to continue to say whether it was also an important request.

"Could someone, this way, introduce you to a cook who might be able to try this Vurst and give you some advice?

"Hmm, as you know the tasting......, what is the advice?

Sabbath raises his eyebrows and confirms Johann's words intentions.

"No, I'm sure this Vurst is something we can confidently serve as far as we're concerned. But food is always conservative. Even if you think it's delicious when you say it, it can be repelled before it's an ingredient you're not usually used to."

Nicole also follows Johan's words.

"So as for us, we want to think of a cooking method that makes it easier for us to naturally accept Vurst. But we are not passing through the ingredients and dishes of this land. So, if Sabbath has any idea, I was wondering if you could introduce Sabbath to the cook who might be able to help…"

"I know it's an unsolicited favor, but can I help you somehow?

Sabbath feels the sincere thoughts of both of them when he sees it time to bow his head deeply. Such a role would make him fit...... Sabbath accepted the two offers, thinking of a candidate who had already been narrowed down to one at the stage of listening.

"Then you have just the right one. However, I know that Mitsuhito has two jobs hanging on him, so I would like to take the form of visiting and requesting under him on the evening that he is due to finish his work. Do you mind if I do?

Sabbath's words brighten the look on both of them. Johan took his seat and thanked him as he bowed his head deeply.

"Of course! Best regards,

"So let me show you around this city until it's time. I think I might have some tips. Hey, somebody turn the carriage around."

Sabbath flickers the lid of the brass transmission tube that is provided on the wall and calls on the servant downstairs. Not so much, I was awed - and there was a response in a man's voice. After a while, Sabbath and Mr. and Mrs. Loudendorf headed for what they called an inspection.

―――――

A few hours later, the Loudendorfs had been guided to the outskirts of the city. On Johann's lap, who stopped at the inn on Sabbath's recommendation, a single crate is held. This is the Vurst I've prepared to give to the cook I'm about to be introduced to. But entering Johann's eyes when he saw the landscape outside the window was a somewhat frivolous landscape. Though there are some buildings lined up in the street, there doesn't seem to be any dizzying shops around. Johann, worried, visits where to go to Sabbath.

"Lord Sabbath, which way are you headed now? I did hear you could show me to the cook in the evening..."

Sabbath replies with a laugh to a question in a tone that also sounds somewhat anxious.

"Yes, so I'm headed to a restaurant with a cook. See, that corner of the road is where it's headed."

As soon as the carriage turned the corner, as Sabbath talked about, a building slightly larger at the edge of the street - probably two floors from height - came into view, with the entire first floor part covered with bright white lacquer, from the center of the building to the left, about a third of the full width being an opening. The end of that large inlet seemed to fall out of the aisle, even from a distance.

The right half of the ground floor is lined with longitudinal windows at equal intervals, and several windows can also be seen in the brick upstairs section. From the chimney sticking out of the roof, the smoke was softly rising. Johan turns to Nicole, who sits next to him, looks at each other and puts his neck around him.

"Mr. Sabbath, is that the shop where the intended cook is?

"Hmm, that's something like half right. It's certainly a store when it comes to shops... and when it comes to not. Well, you'll see when you arrive."

To the profound answer of Sabbath, the two of them cannot hide their confusion. The carriage proceeded as only Sabbath, watching how it was going, included a grin, and soon stopped in the square in front of the building where it was said to be a destination. The man who leaves his seat opens the carriage door from the outside and escorts the Loudendorfs.

"This is the cook we talked about earlier, Harpertown Station...... no, I should introduce you to the coffee shop 'swordfish'"

Sabbath, who followed them down, explains the building in front of them. Behind the aisle on the ground floor, visible from a distance, was a ticket opening, which continued straight to the home. Just like when the train arrives, passengers are finishing their bids in turn. Sabbath called out to a young man who seemed to be the station man standing at the ticket gate, anticipating a fit when the line of passengers waiting to bid disappeared and a paragraph.

"Lord Takumi, is it all right if I talk to you?

The young man called upon by Sabbath seemed to find out about the person who had spoken at a glance and spoke in a polite tone.

"Oh, isn't that Mr. Sabbath? That's unusual at this hour. How can I help you at the station?

To Takumi's question, Sabbath responds with a laugh.

"No, actually, not“ acting station manager, "but today I asked Lord Takumi as“ master, "and he brought someone who wanted to introduce me. Lord Johan, Mr. Nicole, this is the cook Takumi was talking about earlier."

The “cook" we were looking for, but no matter what we were introduced to in front of us, it was the "station staff” - Johann and Nicole, unable to swallow the circumstances at all, had also solidified Sabbath's call. Takumi sees how those two are, out of the ticket slot, taking control and saying hello.

"Nice to meet you, my name is Takumi.“ Acting station manager ”of this station building and“ master ”of the coffee shop" Tsubame "over there."

"Oh, I'm sorry, I'm surprised. My name is Johann Loudendorf, and this is my wife Nicole.

Johann and Nicole also rush to bow their heads to Takumi's polite greeting. Following their greetings, Sabbath introduces them again.

"You two are people from across the ocean to be exhibited at the next exposition. So, I'd like to use Lord Takumi's help with their troubles, but I'm suddenly sorry, but shouldn't we just listen?

In response to Sabbath's offer, Takumi responded in two replies with her usual smile.

"It's always my favor to take care of you, Mr. Sabbath, so if it's something I can help you with, I'd love to help. I was just finishing up work on the station building, and the coffee shop people were just going to clean it up, so it's a good time to do this later. What's the stand-up, too, so could you tell us more about it in the coffee shop hall?

Sabbath also nods to Eagle Deep to show his consent to Takumi's story. Johann and Nicole headed to the coffee shop, guided by Takumi, in a bit of awe.
