The Coffee Shop in a Different World Station

20 Lunch Invitation and Large Wheel Flowers (2/2)

The next morning, in the kitchen of the coffee shop Tsubame, where Morning sales had staggered, there was a figure of takumi groping around in a large deep frying pan with wooden slabs.

In the frying pan is a pasty brown paste with finest ground myces (corn) powder.

If you continue to mix it with great care to avoid scorching it, the paste's curled brown color is transferred to the whole mice flour, and the whole thing becomes flaked. Anticipating the match when the color shifted completely, Takumi removed the frying pan from the fire.

It was a special brown loo that was made in the pan. Takumi takes a sigh of breath as she muddles her forehead sweat with her arms, checking the taste only slightly with the freshly made loo.

A unique flavour with a slight bitterness in the concentrated sweetness and flavour, the flavour was the right finish for Takumi.

(Phew, apparently it worked. Thank you Natl)

This Brownloo is based on something called "Lillette." It is a pasty ingredient made by mixing pork, chicken mince and miele (honey) with fruits such as platano (banana) and parta (avogado) and sautéing them carefully over medium and low heat until they turn brown, and is mainly applied to bread, vegetables, roasted meat, etc.

It is one of the dishes that is well eaten locally in Natl, and Takumi was teaching her how to make it directly during a prototype of Pato dish the other day.

“Lillette", the first tasting I had at that time, Takumi still couldn't forget the shock. Because the taste of Lillette was reminiscent of the flavor of my hometown - “miso” - that I haven't had since I came to “this world”.

Of course, in Lillette and Miso, which have completely different ingredients and methods, even if they are similar, they can tell that they are different from each other if they taste well.

However, the unique flavors and aromas that spread in the mouth were very similar, and Takumi felt that this rillet could be substituted when she thought "I want a miso-like flavor”.

After repeated prototypes several times since then, it has become apparent that Lillette's “miso-like flavor” is found in the "koshi brown ingredients".

Taking advantage of that flavor, it should help to create a "certain sauce” that was indispensable to Western cuisine that I had never been able to make on my own… It was Brownloo who used the "certain sauce” to create it by applying the way Lillette was made.

The main ingredients of the brown brown paste are pork and miele, and seboria (onion) grated instead of fruit. Today, moreover, the garlic and ginger grates are combined as flavoring.

If this combined ingredient is heated carefully while stirring in the frying pan, more and more moisture evaporates. At first, when the moisture in the contents of the frying pan, which is gushing, evaporates completely, the hiccups and cebolia, at once, colour and brown, as well as the wonderful aroma, come to life.

By combining the miso flour with the savoury paste thus made, it was possible to create a brown loo filled with flavor and flavor.

(Now let's finish the sauce)

A newly prepared torso pan, Takumi pours into it a homemade tomato ketchup, soup taken with chicken gala and vegetables, plus red wine, stirring well while on fire. Then, as the bright-red dyed soup warmed up, a delicious fragrance appeared to contain the sourness characteristic of tomato ketchup.

Then, when the soup warms up reasonably well, if the earlier brown loo is put in several portions, the color of the soup will change to brown, and even better thickening will be applied.

Warmed over low heat for a while, the flavor is seasoned with salt pepper, spices, and hidden black vinegar (balsamic vinegar).

Finally, a large conical monkey (Sinois) was used to filter the fine ingredients in the soup and smooth the whole area to complete the brown sauce with the goal of “a sauce”.

Takumi spooned the finished sauce to confirm its taste.

(This is...! I've done better than I thought)

Takumi roars his throat unexpectedly for a finishing touch more than expected.

What Takumi was aiming for was an essential “demiglass sauce” for coffee shops, especially Western menus. Though the brown sauce created today is not made in the same way as the authentic demiglass sauce, the flavour that condensed the richness and flavour made me think it was just “demiglass-style”.

(Well, let's start with this one for now and start planting lunch menus)

Today's brown sauce is meant to be used for a “special order lunch" requested by Liberto, who then visits the "swordfish". But after spending too much time on a special dish for two, the lunch menu, which is normally open, falls to the bottom.

For this reason, the brown sauce was to be used for the lunch menu, which was normally open, after being planted more than for two. When Takumi quickly moved a chunk of meat out of the pantry, she went on to build a hamburger that would be the main part of lunch C.

――――――

Takumi returned to the kitchen, welcoming Riverto and Sofia, who visited a little earlier than planned, and led them to a private room upstairs. Then Roland, who was in the process of planting lunch for normal sales, called out.

"We're almost done here! What should I do next?

"Right, then I'll ask you to prepare the vegetables for your B lunch next time. Chop the leporillo (cabbage) and slice the seboria (onion) thinly to expose it to brine. Can tomatoes be sliced into thin slices?

Roger, a much more creepy reply returns from Roland to Takumi, who will check the progress of the work and instruct him to do the next work.

Determining that the voice could safely be entrusted with the task of continuing, Takumi proceeded to cook a “special order lunch”, an order of Liberto.

The order made from Liberto during last night was "Cooking with the image of a large wheel of flowers". Takumi, who received the order, immediately thought of “a dish” as a staple of the coffee shop.

Takumi transfers the “demiglass-style brown sauce” she had planted in the morning into a small pan and adds a little milk before starting to warm up. And when I arranged the ingredients for the kitchen table one after the other, I quickly took the knife in my hand and took it to cooking.

First, cut Sebolia (onion) into slightly coarse minces, then chop Pimiento (pepper) in the same way. Pork salted smoked meat (bacon) was also sliced thinly and finely chopped. The only materials used today are these three things, which are very simple.

This was followed by a large frying pan. Takumi puts a frying pan on top of it when she checks the firepower of the rocket stove she uses instead of the stove.

Eventually, where the frying pan warmed up, add more butter. After melting the butter while trying to turn the frying pan in a far-sighted fire to avoid burning, the smoked meat, seboria and pimiento, which had just been chopped, were added.

A good aroma of butter sweetness tickles Takumi's nostrils along with the appetizing sound of juwer.

Takumi adds a cooked arrow (comedy) just as soon as Sebolia is sautéed clear. Then sauté them together as they are cut in a wooden slab, staining each grain of arrows with butter oil with a transfer of meat and vegetable flavour.

When sautéed for a while and finished somewhat paralytically, add salt pepper and homemade tomato ketchup to the frying pan, along with a spice mixture to the extent of concealed flavor. And if you mix it up as you stir it up, and there's no more colour smudges in the whole thing, you're done with chicken rice.

Takumi makes half of the chicken rice that can be made into a round bowl, and covers it with a round plate with a slightly higher edge. And when he flipped over with the top and bottom down suppressed and gently removed the top, the chicken rice was served in a clean domed form on a flat plate.

“Demigrass-style sauce", which had been reheated around the chicken rice, was quietly added.

Likewise, after serving chicken rice round the second plate, Takumi takes out a slightly smaller frying pan - something she uses exclusively for egg dishes - than earlier.

While the new frying pan is being warmed by placing it on the oven stove ceiling, Takumi quickly breaks the eggs into a bowl, tries to use the vegetable chopsticks and cut the white body to melt and mix. It's a luxurious way to use three eggs per person, in this world, where eggs are never cheap.

To the dissolved mixed egg solution is added salt, pepper, sugar and raw cream to adjust the taste.

Where the egg solution is ready, the butter is served in a warm frying pan. It's a battle of time from here. Takumi closes her eyes for a moment to increase her concentration.

Pour in the egg liquid where the butter has dissolved sufficiently and stir the entire egg liquid with the vegetable chopsticks held in your right hand, shaking the frying pan wide with your left hand so that heat is applied uniformly throughout the egg liquid.

Then, when the heat is applied and the egg liquid begins to solidify slightly, lean over the other end of the frying pan, beating the tongue and frying pan pattern with your left hand as you move up and down by switching the frying pan pattern to your right hand.

Then, as if to see it even by magic, the egg liquid spun around, and within less than a minute a beautiful omelet with a bright yellow appeared.

The omelette that can be done is immediately placed on top of the earlier chicken rice and a knife cuts into the centerline. When the omelet was gently spread to both sides from its incision, a beautiful egg with a trout semi-ripe appeared on the table, wrapping the whole chicken rice round.

Takumi, who confirms that the first finished as per the prospectus, hurries and bakes the second omelet as well to serve as well. Then, completing the dish for two, he took himself to the waiting private room of Liberto and Sofia.

―――――

"Thank you for waiting. I received a request from Mr. Liberto for lunch today," Hirasol Omelette. "

A special order lunch was carried under Liberto and Sofia, which had been put through to a private room on the second floor of the same 'swordfish' as yesterday's meeting - - Hirasol Omrice. On a plate carried before the two of them, as the name “Hirasol” said, a yellow large ring of flowers shined brightly over the earth of koshi brown.

The two raise their exclamation in line with the beauty of that dish that has been carried in front of them.

"Well, how beautiful! Looks like a big wheel of hirasol is blooming on the plate!

"This is Hirasol itself blooming mightily from the earth... No, this is better than I imagined..."

"Thank you. I think you'll taste better while it's warm. Enjoy your meal."

Takumi, thanking him, returns to the kitchen for a normal lunch opening that will soon peak in the downstairs hall. The private room was once again a space for just the two of us.

"Hmm, it's so beautiful that I've always wanted to watch it this way, but it's the way to get warm food while it's warm. Shall I have it quick?"

To the words of Liberto, Sophia also nods cocklessly, holding hands in front of her chest as she is, offering a prayer before meals.

Not so much, Sophia quickly cut the portion of the edge of the omelet into a large bite with a spoon when she got the spoon, and took it as-is.

What emerged from inside were sautéed arrows along with ingredients. The orange-dyed appearance of it wrapped in yellow, semi-ripe eggs seemed to convey the delicacy.

Sophia rattles her throat and then carries the omelet to her mouth.

The orange identity is apparently tomato ketchup. Arose, supposedly sautéed in butter, is stained with ketchup acidity, richness, and the taste of bacon and vegetables. Sebolia and Pimiento, put together, also accent the flavour and texture, creating a complex flavour.

And it's the eggs that are cooked semi-ripe that are mellow wrapped around the contents of the firm flavor. The rich taste of trollied eggs combined with the strong taste of sautéed arrows made it a delicious taste that Sofia had never experienced before.

To the extra deliciousness of the omelet, Sophia leaks an exhalation close to her half sigh.

"This is... awesome, to say the least"

Liberto, who was quietly eating omelette, also nodded at Sofia's words, indicating his agreement.

What surprised Liberto in particular was the taste of brown sauce. Tomato flavour will be at the heart of the flavour. The flavour of the meat is combined to produce intense richness.

What brings it together is the unique flavor that springs up from the entire sauce. Its taste and aroma, with a little bitterness, add depth to the palate.

Intense flavour, richness and complexity of brown sauce combined with bitterness had tightened the overall flavour of the omelette, bringing added depth and awesomeness. This dish called omelet rice was only made with this brown sauce, and it made Liberto feel that way.

It would be a natural situation for a young man or woman in a single room to receive the same dish alone, even one of ordinary, enjoyable conversations.

But both Liberto and Sophia were silently continuing to eat omelet rice after first speaking two or three words. For the deliciousness of the dish, which bears the name of "Sunflower (Hirasol)", the two of them focused on enjoying the flavor by forgetting the conversation.

In the private room with the two of them, only the sound of a spoon and a plate hitting the cacharica chari was echoed.

After a while, when the two plates were aligned and neatly emptied, they placed the spoon on the plate and finally looked up.

The two staring at each other, returning to me. You remembered it was a "meal for two," a strange air flowing between each other.

Couscous and laughter spill out of Sophia too, caught by it, as Libert, who couldn't stand the air, held down Cook first and started laughing. Eventually, the laughter between the two became so resounding inside the room.

"No, I'm sorry. To that effect, I forgot the conversation and ate it obsessively."

"I'm the one. You invited me, but it was so delicious that I forgot to talk to you and proceeded with my meal. Was Mr. Liberto suggesting that we cook today?

"No, I just asked Lord Takumi to" cook in the image of a "big wheel of flowers". In the form of cooking, I wanted to give Lord Sophia the splendid big wheel of flowers she deserved. But Lord Takumi's teasing me too. I didn't expect to serve a dish so delicious as to make two men and women lose their words for lunch... "

Answer as Sophia tilts her neck to see if Libert's words are hooked.

"Oh, because that's what I was gonna do? I really thought it would be a thank you for work."

"Not that I don't have that in mind, of course, but I wanted to leave work with a woman as lovely as Lord Sophia and enjoy a meal for both of us. Yeah, well, there's one suggestion..."

Reverto gives an unintentionally serious look due to his mild condition until earlier. Sophia accidentally corrected her residence when she sensed that the air on the field had changed at once.

Liberto cut out the "suggestion," looking firmly into Sophia's eyes sitting in front of him.

"We'll be increasingly busy with each other when the deal goes on from now on, and we won't be able to take time off. So, every two months, in the name of culinary research here in" The Swallow, "we have a meeting where the two of us come together alone. Of course, when it comes to meetings, we just forget about each other's work and enjoy our meals. Lord Sophia, what do you say?

To Liberto's words, Sophia conceives. The prospect of getting busier and busier from now on is that you don't have to wait for his point of view to stain yourself and feel it.

Sometimes the days when the meeting still lasts are so exhausting that they fall asleep without eating satisfactorily. It was obvious that if I got any busier, I would be exhausted sooner or later.

But it was also true to remember to spend time on things other than work. Although the work was busy and difficult, a great deal of reward had also been felt. Besides, I can't help but have fun connecting people as bankers or thinking about new things with all sorts of people.

It was also my sincere desire to respond as best I could if anyone wanted my power.

If you're going to come to "Swallow," you have to free up at least a whole day, maybe two. Though I know the need to take a break to do a good job, I didn't see the significance of doing that to Sofia.

Nevertheless, Liberto's opinions have always been well reasoned during previous negotiations. Maybe I have an intention that I don't understand. Sophia asked the occasional Libert with a small neck.

"I appreciate your suggestion, but why here? Aren't you sure Woodford is close to each other's strongholds?

As if expecting that question to arise, Liberto returns the words smoothly with a glowing look.

"It becomes important to know how to get away from work properly at one time of rest. If it were a meeting at this place away from Woodford, it wouldn't be the same if I was interrupted by a sudden matter. If we can schedule a good night ahead of us, we'll make some time to enjoy our private lives. And..."

"And?"

"Because if we don't do this, we're not going to be able to come to each other's 'swordfish'. Don't you think Lord Sophia would like to continue to come and taste the dishes of Lord Takumi? I want to taste more of this swordfish."

It might not have sounded if Libert's answer had simply been a well-reasoned one. But the last “really fascinating suggestion” that came out stuck brilliantly in her mind.

Surely as it is, I don't know when I will be able to come to the 'swordfish' next. I may not get the chance to taste Takumi's dishes. I don't know when the next great dish like today will be eaten......

Once I started to think that, Sophia no longer had the art of stopping herself.

"Okay. I'll take that suggestion. Once every two months, please do not hesitate to join us for a" culinary study ”in" Swallow ". It's just for" culinary research, "right?

To Sophia, who at least shows resistance at the end of the words, Liberto returns the words with more grin than usual.

"Thank you very much for taking it on. Well, let's start the next one in two months. I'm looking forward to seeing that day."

Liberto stepped over to Sofia as she took her seat and offered her hand as she stared into her eyes.

Sophia took a seat with an elegant trick, dyeing her cheeks slightly as she was hot, and gently shook back the hand offered.

To each other's tricks, which were somewhere playful, the two glanced at each other again, spilling laughter.

―――――

The clock needle indicated that Sophia's time to leave was approaching.

Having enjoyed their time away from work for a long time, the two leave the room and head downstairs. Then, plugged into the stairs, Sophia, who had tried to descend the stairs first, snagged her heel on a slight step of the floor and clawed it.

"Yikes!" "Dangerous!

Riverto, who was walking on Sophia's left side, grabs Sophia's left arm reflexively and pulls it all the way towards him.

And as she turned her left hand to her back to keep her from falling down the stairs, she held him tight.

"Oh, thank you"

Sophia, who made fun of what happened for a moment, but still understood only that Liberto had helped her, conveys her gratitude as she wandered off.

"Phew, that was a dangerous place. It's good to be healthy, but you have to be careful not to hurt yourself."

It was probably unconscious behavior. With his words, Liberto stroked Sophia's head with his right hand in a pompous manner.

Unexpectedly inspired Sophia returns just the judgment to understand what situation she is in right now. The fact that at some point its face is close to being held and, for some reason, its head is tender......

I assembled that figure in my head (...) Sophia's face was to be stained bright red at once.

"Hey, what are you doing, so awesome!!

Sophia, wolfed by the sudden events, also forgot that she was helped where she was about to fall down the stairs, pushing Liberto as far as she wanted.

Having lost her body balance to Sophia's unexpected behavior, Libert fell to the floor trying to get her involved.

"There was some loud noise, but what did you do?

They were two people who stood up immediately without injury, but Takumi ran up the stairs where she heard things.

Sophia manages to make the usual look and answer while paying for the bread and clothes stains.

"Hey, it's nothing. I just fell a little. Well, it's time, isn't it? Mr. Takumi, let's come. Yeah, well, thank you, Mr. Liberto, for today. Thank you very much. It's good to see you again."

Sophia, thanking him for the quick talk, just went downstairs without waiting to be guided by Takumi. The face was stained bright red to the ear.

Takumi, who is not on the spot and has no idea what the situation is, turns to the Libert and puts his neck up as he asks.

"Hey, just a little happening at the end. Don't worry, neither of you are particularly injured. Well, Lord Takumi, the food was really great today. Thank you. See you next time."

It was the Libert whose bat seemed slightly worse at first, but he regains his usual condition from the way in and thanks Takumi.

It's two months from now. I also think I screwed up the stuffing today because of the last happenings, but I'm still fine. Let's not rush, let's take our time. That was the Libert I swear to my heart.
