Chapter 191: Alexander Informs Amara
{Third Person}
Meanwhile, Princess Elowen learned the news in an entirely different atmosphere.
She had just returned to her chambers and was halfway through changing into something more comfortable when one of her maids hurried in, clearly eager to deliver the latest palace gossip.
The maid bowed quickly before speaking. "Your Highness, there is news."
Elowen glanced at her through the mirror. "What is it?" she asked, with a hint of disinterest.
The maid hesitated only briefly before saying, "His Royal Highness plans to leave the palace in a few days."
Instantly, Elowen froze. And in that moment, she genuinely thought she had heard wrong, so she turned sharply.
"What?"
The maid immediately repeated herself. "The Alpha Prince is leaving the royal palace."
Elowen stared at her in disbelief. The news was so unexpected that she struggled to process it.
Alexander, leaving the palace?
Her brother?
The same brother who had spent most of his life within these walls?
It sounded absurd.
Her brows furrowed deeply. "That’s impossible," she stated, then another thought struck her. She folded her arms immediately.
"He never told me."
There was obvious offence in her voice now. Not anger exactly, just disbelief.
How could Alexander make such a huge decision without mentioning a single word to her?
The maid quickly added, "But I heard he will still remain the Alpha Prince."
Elowen blinked a few times. That detail changed the entire meaning of the news. Slowly, her shock began fading. Then, little by little, her expression changed.
The disbelief in her eyes disappeared, and a smile began forming, then widened. Before long, excitement completely replaced her earlier shock.
"Oh."
The maid looked confused by the sudden shift in mood.
Elowen, meanwhile, was already thinking ahead. Alexander leaving the palace meant he would be living outside.
Outside the palace.
Outside these suffocating walls.
And suddenly, a wonderful possibility opened in her mind. She could visit him as often as she wanted.
The realization lit up her face. She clasped her hands together in excitement. "Well... this is actually wonderful."
The maid looked even more confused now.
Elowen had already started pacing around the room, her excitement growing with every passing second.
"I can visit him whenever I want." Then her smile brightened even more. "And I can visit Amara too."
That thought delighted her.
The idea of visiting both of them outside the palace’s rigid environment felt incredibly refreshing. She was already imagining it—their new residence, the quieter atmosphere, and the freedom to spend time with them without all the formalities and restrictions that came with palace life.
Elowen stopped pacing and smiled to herself. She truly could not wait. In fact, she suddenly wanted to know exactly where Alexander planned to live.
Because the moment he settled in, she was going to visit. And she fully intended to visit often.

Later that day, Alexander finally sent for Amara.
When Mrs. Woods informed her that His Highness wanted to see her, Amara immediately set aside what she was doing and made her way to his residence.
By now, coming here no longer made her as nervous as it once did, though there was still always a quiet sense of caution whenever she stepped into Alexander’s space.
Jasper let her in as usual.
When Amara entered the sitting room, she found Alexander seated by the window with a document in his hand. The afternoon light fell across his features, making his expression look even calmer than usual.
He looked up the moment she entered.
Amara greeted him politely. "You sent for me, Your Highness?"
Alexander set the document aside and gestured for her to sit. She obeyed, though curiosity had already begun stirring inside her. Something about the way he had called for her felt unusually formal.
Alexander did not drag out the matter. He looked at her directly and said, "Start preparing."
Her brows lightly drew in close. "For what?"
His expression remained unreadable as he dropped the bomb. "We are leaving the palace in a few days."
Amara simply stared at him. She was certain she had heard him clearly, but her mind still struggled to process the words.
Leaving the palace?
She looked at him in disbelief. "We are... leaving?"
Alexander gave a small nod. "Yes."
The shock on her face deepened. She had not expected this, not even slightly. So, questions immediately began to flood her mind.
"Why?"
The question slipped out before she could stop herself. Then another quickly followed. "Where are we going?"
Her voice carried obvious confusion now. "Why so suddenly?"
Alexander watched her reaction calmly. Then he answered in his usual direct manner, "I am moving out of the palace."
His tone remained steady. "The city is quieter. There are fewer people. Fewer eyes." His gaze rested on her. "It will be easier to live there."
Amara stayed silent as she listened. Something about his words slowly stirred a memory in her mind.
The breakfast conversation.
His questions: Would you like to leave the palace? What kind of place would you prefer to live in?
Her eyes widened slightly. Now she understood that he had not asked those questions casually. He had already been planning this.
That realization caught her completely off guard.
She stared at him for a few moments before finally asking in a quieter voice, "So... that day during breakfast..."
Alexander already knew what she meant, so he didn’t let her finish. "Yes."
That one word confirmed everything.
Amara sensed a change inside her. Her mind focused again on her previous response: a private house—an area with fewer people, quiet and peaceful. And now, he was taking her somewhere exactly like that.
The realization warmed her chest in a way she did not expect.
She stared at him for a while, then slowly the shock on her face faded. Something softer replaced it—excitement, quiet but unmistakable.
To her own surprise, she found herself smiling for real. And of course, Alexander noticed.
Amara lowered her gaze slightly, but she could not hide the happiness in her voice when she spoke.
"So... we really are leaving?"
There was still disbelief in her tone, but now excitement had clearly taken over.
