Chapter 944: It’s Fate, It’s Luck
"Then what happened? What occurred after?" Han Siqu apologized while changing the subject.
"It was Xue’er." Mentioning An Chuxue, Su Yaogeng still felt a tinge of sadness in her heart. Such a wonderful girl, how could she end up harmed in such a way? Though for the moment her life was not threatened, being in a coma like this, how could her heart truly feel at ease?
"Xue’er?" Han Siqu was somewhat puzzled.
"Yes," Su Yaogeng sighed, "Jing’er went to great lengths to persuade me, insisting that I must believe Xue’er could heal me. I always felt it was impossible, and I had long accepted reality. But not wanting to disappoint Jing’er, I finally agreed to let them try."
"As Jing’er said, perhaps meeting Xue’er was fate, destined. And I think this might be the greatest blessing of my life. It was completely unbelievable to me that she indeed healed me. At that moment, I felt I could never repay her, though I had already let go of many things. Yet, this to me removed the greatest mental burden."
Su Yaogeng suddenly lowered her voice, with a reserved and slightly shy tone, "Husband, no matter what happens in the future, Jing’er and Xue’er, they are my closest daughters."
She once lost too much because of her inherent imperfections, yet because she had two beautiful daughters, she regained the whole world.
So no matter what happens in the future, no matter how life unfolds, the one thing that will never change is that she has the best daughters in the world.
"Of course." Han Siqu’s voice trembled slightly; he was emotional.
At this moment, he couldn’t wait to go to Jing’er and Xue’er and thank them, expressing a thousand, ten thousand times, thank you that he could never fully express in his lifetime.
If it weren’t for Jing’er’s assistance, if it weren’t for Xue’er’s miraculous skills, how could she utter that lovely word "husband"?
She just called him "husband," and he couldn’t help but feel almost floating, wondering if he was dreaming again and being silly!
He knew, until this moment, Su Yaogeng had completely let go of the past and completely released the emotions and burdens weighing on her heart for years, genuinely accepting him, and deeply and sincerely welcoming him—Han Siqu—into her heart.
She truly belonged to him now, wholly and completely, both body and heart.
Han Siqu embraced Su Yaogeng tightly, burying his head in her hair, whispering, "Yaoyao, your happiness truly delights me."
He was sincerely grateful, grateful for the divine arrangement, grateful to have such considerate daughters like Jing’er and Xue’er, allowing Su Yaogeng to have a new life and truly step out of the shadows, starting to try and enjoy a new life. He couldn’t fully empathize with the struggles and torture in Su Yaogeng’s heart over those long years, but he knew she hadn’t truly been happy.
With unresolved issues, no amount of apparent happiness can fully integrate into the heart and attain true release.
It wasn’t so easy to open her defenses and enter her heart, to truly have a place there. It was destiny; it was her luck; it was his luck.
