Chapter 647 - 643: Unlucky An Dongyang
An Dongyang started to get scared as he was dragged away.
He couldn’t for the life of him figure out why Boss Lü would show up here.
He had just gotten a call from one of his men. The man said that some higher-ups had come for an inspection and found out Lu Yuanbin had been arrested. But since there was no evidence, they had no choice but to let him go.
At the time, he was at home recovering from his injuries. The moment he heard the news, he couldn’t just lie there anymore.
Now that Lu Yuanbin was out, how was he supposed to humiliate Leng Yuan?
So, he had hastily sought out Old Nine, planning to get Lu Yuanbin thrown back in.
But then he ran into Boss Lü. An Dongyang felt like he had the worst luck.
He was dragged to a deserted spot, where Boss Lü kicked him to the ground.
"Young Master An, do you have any idea how long I’ve been looking for you? That one thousand yuan you owe me, when were you planning on paying it back?"
An Dongyang was knocked to the ground, and as luck would have it, he landed right on his tailbone again. He let out a loud "AOW!"
Boss Lü was furious.
This guy owed him money and still wasn’t cooperating. He’d seen plenty of people like this; a good beating was all it took.
But since this was the *first* time he was beating him, Boss Lü planned to make it extra harsh.
As for An Dongyang, who was on the receiving end, he just felt like he was cursed with bad luck.
He’d just gotten beaten up a few days ago, and now it was happening again.
He was indignant.
"Boss Lü, have you no reason? You already beat me up once. You should at least give me a few days to think about it. You don’t play fair at all!"
This made Boss Lü even angrier.
It was one thing for the guy not to cooperate and pay him back, but now he was falsely accusing him? When had he ever laid a hand on him?
The nerve of him, turning the tables like that.
Since An Dongyang had brought it up, he’d just combine the two beatings into one.
Old Nine shrank to the side in fear. He knew Boss Lü’s methods; anyone who owed him money could end up with broken arms and legs.
Although he also liked to gamble, thankfully, he wasn’t in debt.
Though Old Nine was scared, he was also relieved.
’I don’t owe any money, so I shouldn’t get beaten, right?’
Just as he was about to inch his way out and sneak away, Boss Lü shot a look at one of his subordinates. The man glanced at Old Nine hungrily, then walked toward him.
Old Nine was kicked to the ground, completely stunned.
When he came to his senses, he cried out that he was being wronged, "Boss Lü, I don’t owe you money! You can’t hit me!"
Boss Lü laughed. "Can’t? There’s no such thing as ’can’t’ in my book. I don’t care which family you’re from or what kind of connections you have. If someone owes me money and doesn’t pay, I won’t go easy on them."
After speaking, he glanced at his men. "Beat them."
The alley had been deserted for a long time, and no one ever came by. The two of them were beaten until they were screaming for their mommies and daddies, but not a single person came to help.
When they had been beaten enough, Boss Lü finally raised a hand.
"Alright, don’t actually kill them."
He walked over and lifted An Dongyang’s chin.
An Dongyang’s face was covered in blood and grime, with hardly a clean spot on it, but Boss Lü didn’t seem to mind the filth.
"Young Master An, I’m giving you three days. Put one thousand five hundred yuan in my hands. If you still don’t pay, next time, I’ll chop off your hand."
An Dongyang struggled to speak. "Wasn’t it one thousand yuan?"
"One thousand? That was the old price. You’ve owed me for this long and you expect to get away with just paying back a thousand? What do you take me for, a charity?"
As Boss Lü’s voice fell, he violently shoved An Dongyang’s head away. "Remember, you have only three days."
With that, he left with his men.
Before, whenever An Dongyang was short on cash, he always went to Old Nine. Now, Old Nine was his only option again.
"Old Nine, you have to help me. I need one thousand five hundred yuan."
Old Nine: ...
He cursed inwardly. Business in the black market was slow these days. Even though Lu Yuanbin was out of the picture, he had taken all the good people with him, which meant Old Nine was making even less than before.
