Eldest Chen was drained of his fortune by Xu Wenwan. After freezing outside for most of the night, he was left completely depleted and fell ill the moment he returned.

His eyes were bloodshot as he glared at Eldest Chen. "Did you go see Xu Wenwan? Did you do something to her?"
Eldest Chen was taken aback for a moment before he recovered. He scoffed, "And here I was wondering what this was all about. So it’s over that woman, Xu Wenwan. You like her too?"
After he spoke, Eldest Chen realized what a pointless question he’d just asked.
’If he didn’t like her, why else would he be here?’
He looked at Feng Ergou and offered a piece of well-intentioned advice. "I’d stay away from her if I were you."
’There’s something seriously off about a woman like Xu Wenwan. All I did was touch her hand, and I nearly died. If Feng Ergou, with that build of his, tries anything, he’ll lose his life for sure.’
Eldest Chen’s warning was genuine, but Feng Ergou merely thought Eldest Chen was trying to compete with him for her.
He had fallen for Xu Wenwan the first moment he saw her. Unfortunately, she married Yun Hao. Now that she was finally divorced, he had his chance, and he wouldn’t let anyone ruin it.
Feng Ergou charged forward and smashed his fist into Eldest Chen’s face.
