So, the day after Lu Yuanbin returned, Leng Yuan came by again.

He said Old Nine had a few valuable items and was currently looking for a buyer. It seemed he was in a hurry.

Leng Yuan was very interested in what Old Nine had, but he had beaten the man up before and had seen him a few times since. Old Nine would probably recognize him on sight.

"This is the big shot’s subordinate. He can help with the appraisal. Just take him with you, and do whatever he says."
Leng Yuan now wore a thick beard and a hat. His skin was darkened, making him look much older.
With a change of clothes, he looked just like a driver for a wealthy family.
Lu Yuanbin’s friend didn’t suspect a thing and went with him to Mr. Jiu’s territory.
One of Mr. Jiu’s underlings saw the two of them and immediately blocked their path. "Who are you?"
"We’re here to buy."
The underling looked wary. These two were complete strangers he’d never seen before. "We don’t sell anything here. You must have the wrong place."
Leng Yuan’s voice was low as he said, "Boss Xu sent me. I’m here to buy jewelry. Are you sure you don’t have any?"
Boss Xu was one of Old Nine’s clients, an old acquaintance who had referred a few customers to him in the past.
The underlings all knew of him.
Leng Yuan stood beside Lu Yuanbin’s friend. The friend remained silent while Leng Yuan stepped forward to do all the talking. It made it seem as if the "big boss" couldn’t be bothered to speak to mere flunkies, which actually gave him an impressive air.
