The Demon King Seems to Conquer the World

Episode 264: Kurtos Unsiege *

At 8: 30 a.m. on the morning of October 18, the armies of allies, ready for the showdown and no longer arguably the Union of Islamic Nations, had begun marching in full stride.

Fritz watched it from the top of a township south of the battlefield.

Senior Admiral Orseus is in command in formation in the center of the battlefield.

As for the judgment of the battle, it was all up to him. Fritz was basically in a position to watch it, about skipping the preaching if necessary when it came to doing it.

From above the tower, the enemy army is too thin. Sometimes distant objects seem small, but the thickness of the formation still makes this one seem overwhelmed.

Yuri Howe would certainly be good at the military. There is no mistake in that. But with so many differences in the army, is there a secret that we can do something about?

Proceeding on the left wing, the Pope's army, led by Gertrut, is wary of soldiers coming out of the tree-grown hills and pointing their troops at you.

On the right wing, the Dragon Men of the Qur 'an (Dragon Newt) are about to take over. They are an army known for their high level of proficiency, and it is unlikely that they will crush unresponsively, like mercenary troops hired at low prices, no matter how elite the opponent they hit.

At the centre, the main unit of the Galilee coalition is under control. Participating in a war to defend their country, they will fight more tenaciously than anyone else on this occasion.

And at the back, Kurtus' walls are refrained. If it were a crush, only two thousand soldiers would open the gates and storm, striking their backs.

Ten dragons spread large wings in the sky, and the eagle looks confused. Intimidation by dragons seems to be working.

Whatever you think, it didn't look like there was a gap in it.

So why isn't Yuri Howe breaking the siege and escaping, and thus challenging the showdown?

According to Gertrut, there's always a reason for that. But Fritz still didn't know that.

Either God takes sides with Yuri Howe, and a giant iron fist descends from heaven to wear their own army. If that happened, we would certainly lose.

But in Fritz's story of learned history, that hasn't happened once. It seemed commonplace in the age of mythology in which people's imaginations took shape, but the closer history gets to the present, the less such things go away.

On the front line, Dragon Men's Squad Dragon Newt was slowly moving forward while striding with the Galilean coalition headquarters next door.

Finally, the lid of this meeting was about to be cut.

They believe that shooting from a distance is ineffective and makes a lot of sense only with the labor of loading, and they excite the courage to advance slightly closer before firing.

After a moment, it may be the enemy who fires the gun first.

But they would march through it unintentionally, neatly, and fire at the same time according to the signal. In the meantime, white fired smoke should rise simultaneously.

As Fritz waited for it with anticipation in his chest, he saw something fall to the right of the line of dragon imperial armies, giving him a flashy earthsmoke.

Fritz thought at first that a small meteor had descended from heaven.

A few seconds later, it was different, and the sound taught Fritz.

Do-n, the sound hit Fritz's ear a few seconds late.

Then in less than a minute, the next thing that came down was the descent (...) Ri (...) Note (...) Y (...) above Dragon Men's "Dragon Newt" (...).

After a few seconds, an unparalleled sound of magnitude knocked Fritz's ears simultaneously.

When you take the Euphos federally made high magnification telescope for naval warfare, you rush to the eye and see the dragon Imperial Army faction where something has fallen from heaven.

There were holes in each of the dense formations, and the formation was heavily disturbed. It doesn't look small and good over the telescope, but I guess the hole was ripped open by every human being.

I got goosebumps and my head turned bright white.

"- Come on, Deng!

Fritz did not quite understand the words of the martial officer, who was similarly observing the formation next door, as he rode himself out of the building.

Seeing it, he runs a brush on parchment paper in a desperate shape, puts it in a cylinder and throws it down.

"Fly your horses to the Pope's army! The earliest horse!!

Once again, with a telescope in place and an eye on the left wing, the Pope's army, which had heard the movement of the enemy forces from a short distance, was already in motion.

Gertrut would have sensed that something was caused by something on the hill, even if he could not observe the jewelry. He didn't wait for the report and seemed to have made the decision to take control of the hill with the woods.

Turning to the telescope on the hill, there was smoke. But that's very little for the smoke the cannon emits.

Fritz's known cannon has a lot of gunpowder to use that is out of step with the gun. One shot should have already caused smoke. Not to mention, if you fired multiple gates simultaneously, only that much smoke could go up.

"Impossible."

Earlier, a reconnaissance martial officer who threw a barrel at the preaching said.

"The artillery shell reaches from the edge of the left wing to the right, etc."

"Big cannon, doesn't that mean?

Fritz was snooping through the telescope and observing the hill. Now I could clearly see the smoke blowing out of the top of the hill. Moving his gaze to the right wing, he saw multiple shells that had just been shot.

Gun smoke comes out and lands on what is far away. After all, I guess it's not a different recruit weapon that you're using, it's a cannon tug.

Is the number about twenty? The bullet that landed seemed to explode at the same time as it hit the ground.

Maybe there's gunpowder stuck inside. In a round bullet filled with metal inside, which is commonly used for cannons, oh no.

"Even the big ones can't do it. With all that flying cannon, we should have a cylinder the size of this shrine. Otherwise, there will be no shells in the gunpowder impact"

"Really..."

Fritz saw the top of the hill with a telescope. I'm sure there's smoke standing from it, but I can't see anything but a high assembled “

Doesn't look like there's that huge a cannon.

It's not necessarily a cannon in the form this one imagines, but whatever secret weapon it is, it's compact enough to hide in the trees and lightweight enough to be brought to the top of the hill.

They were hiding it.

Naturally, they should have been able to punch it into Kurtos as well. That would shatter the walls and so on in an instant.

Instead of a day to fall, it shouldn't have taken half a day.

But I didn't. I guess that was to draw Kurtus into the battlefield with a hill in just the right place.

"... well, but the battle has already begun. I can't take it back."

I was set in a trap. I can see that.

But if we were to withdraw from here, we would show our backs to the enemy soldiers.

Complete the formation, staring from afar, not. With all the fronts in contact and the fighting starting,

The race has already been thrown.

The sun hasn't even climbed to its peak yet. If we withdraw now, we will have a fierce pursuit, and this coalition will disintegrate and never gather again.

"I'll win."

The martial officer said.

"There are as many as 80,000 soldiers here! Where that cannon bullet hit me, it would be a good place for a few people to get hit. There's no way I can't push it!!

Sure, that could have been the case on the grounds.

But a weapon I've never even seen comes down on my head, bursting and scattering my allies' bodies. Is there so many of them who can fight with courage?

"The Pope's army is also doing its best. You'll take the hill soon. You can definitely win!

The battle began, about an hour later.

"Left-wing hills, many enemy elite troops who specialize in white soldier warfare lurk in the woods, so much so that we have fought with all our strength that we have not yet fallen. Sorry............"

Fritz was reading a status report on the war, sent by Gertrut, with less good content.

The Pope's army poured all of its troops into the hill offensive and is now dressed like a half siege of the entire hill.

We have made a simultaneous offense over and over again, but each time we were being pulled back.

Long-eared, Shan's army originally specializes in white soldier warfare. The fact that so many troops were evacuated after so many offenses may be lurking elites in the woods among the elites who have been training for years for the White Soldier War.

In the woods, guns don't show their lead. Everyone must fight with primitive weapons such as swords and spears.

Other troops, too, lack attackers because of the explosive bombs that are struggling but flying uninterrupted from the air. Morale will be falling, and the formation is disrupted in the first place because of the downpouring shelling, which prevents a breathtaking assault.

"What was your name again?"

Fritz, for the first time then, heard the name of the reconnaissance martial officer who was next door.

I'm Clara Almuster.

The martial officer said in a bell-ringing voice.

"Mr. Clara. Ask for the transmission, and ask for the delivery of the documents. To Marshal Ilham."

Fritz took his first pen today and put a sentence on parchment.

When you're done writing, give it to Clara.

"......... May I read it?

Clara asked. Originally, the military isn't in a position to stop Fritz from acting, but as a combat professional, I guess it's problematic for an amateur to behave at will.

Clara must have played a role in overseeing Fritz's behavior in that sense as a sort of patron, or as a cursor of far-fetched shortcomings.

"Can you read Arn?

"Ah, no."

If you can't read it, it doesn't make sense to show it. Of course, the document is naturally written in Arn.

"I just wrote to let some dragon cavalry go into the hills. Senior Admiral Orseus will not be able to give such instructions."

"Really?

Clara asked back. I'm young, so I guess I don't know the finesse of such politics.

Let them go in, which means they're disposable and they're dead.

Military orders issued to neighbors who have come to reinforce us are commonly absent.

Fritz said, "The hills are fortified with numerous powerful enemy soldiers lurking, making it difficult to stop the shelling. If we continue to lose, we are worried about the prince's safety. Can you use the dragon to attack us from above?” I wrote such a content in a text that was somewhat grotesque in a far-flung way.

Due to the character of the weapon called artillery, if it is misfired at an ally, it will cause a great deal of damage, so if it approaches from the enemy side, it will not be intercepted with artillery shells in case.

"Yes, I am."

"So, but... the Dragon Cavalry is currently acting to stop the Eagle from attacking..."

Ten dragons were in charge of stirring up the eagle so that it could not move into descent.

They just don't have the weapons to do anything about the dragon immediately, and now the eagle was dressed like the majority were retreating and five dragons were controlling the air.

The dragons can't fly that long, so they were serving ten at first, but now that the eagles have retired, they are on assignment with five shifts at a time.

"The battlefield is glued and the shelling continues to hit this one. I don't have a hitter like this. Only dragon cavalry can attack artillery directly and crack down on the situation. I wonder if my thoughts are wrong"

………………

If I'm wrong and my hands are still there, then I'm glad.

But Clara shut up.

"... As for the situation, I think that's right"

I told him to squeeze it out because there was a slight glitch.

"Now, please give me the order."

And, Fritz gave the document to Clara.

Clara put it in a cylinder for transmission and said in a voice that often goes by, "Deng hee!" and signaled a preaching order to wait under the tower.

Unlike the Shanian eagle, the dragon stands alone and has combat power on land. So it's originally a soldier who also uses it to dance into enemy formations and attack. Exactly, the use of sticking in the middle would not be normal, but as a classification it could be called the original use.

If a few dragons stick together, you might be able to break the cannon, or you might be able to kill the gunner who runs the cannon without breaking it.

Either way, the effect to the extent that the shelling stops for a while can be expected, at least.

Fritz went on to send a letter to Senior Admiral Orseus as well.

Like a dragon storms and at the same time makes a total attack.

Win or lose, this will be the last offense of this meeting.
