He was all too familiar with the Rules within the Forbidden Land Core.

As one of the Boundary Repairers from the Earth Immortal Dao Sect, he could be said to know the various Forbidden Lands of the Five Domains like the back of his hand.

The Five Great Celestial Sects had specifically collected vast amounts of information on any Forbidden Land capable of producing the Power of Rules.

And that was precisely why He was so utterly shocked by the phenomenon occurring within the Forbidden Land Core.

He had never seen Yang An display any particular abilities before. Because of the calamity, he hadn’t seen how Yang An escaped it, either—only that Yang An had managed to leave the disaster-stricken area unharmed.

It now seemed that this boy had actually cultivated Light Magic and was audacious enough to try and stir the Power of Light Rules within the Forbidden Land Core!

It wasn’t particularly rare for someone to master Light Magic, but to think one could use it to trigger the Power of Light Rules was simply delusional.

And yet, against all expectations, Yang An had actually managed to trigger the Power of Light Rules in the Forbidden Land Core!

For the Power of Rules to respond was to grant him an opportunity for comprehension, and that was what shocked He the most.

To move the sun, so high and mighty in the sky—how many Light Magic Techniques would one have to master to achieve that? He couldn’t even imagine.

This was especially true now, with a great calamity descending. The world was becoming corrupted, the path of cultivation was twisting, and everything related to it was beginning to produce backlash and other distorted forces.

Mastering so many forms of Light Magic was tantamount to suicide.

Even so, He didn’t believe Yang An could actually comprehend the true Power of Light Rules. The most likely outcome was that he would be incinerated, turned to ash by the terrifying, immense light.

And so, He found himself facing a dilemma.

He wanted to capture Yang An alive. But unless Yang An chose to leave the Forbidden Land Core before he was utterly destroyed, it would be incredibly difficult to enter, grab him, and bring him out.

’Damn it!’

He cursed under his breath, deciding he could only watch for now.

He wanted to capture Yang An, but not at the cost of his own life. The moment he’d stepped into the Forbidden Land Core earlier, he’d nearly been overwhelmed. He had to wait for the right opportunity.

Meanwhile, inside the Forbidden Land Core, everything was shrouded in light. Nothing’s original form could be seen clearly, for the light had become incredibly dense, almost viscous.

Everything was rapidly dissolving in the terrifying radiance. The world itself seemed on the verge of annihilation.

But in the midst of this, Yang An, enveloped in a light of his own making, desperately resisted the sun’s descent.

His physical body struggled to find a balance between dissolution and regeneration, while his consciousness had entered a profound and mysterious state.

’What... is light?’

He pondered this question in a world where nothing could be seen.

At first, all he could see was illumination—dazzling, blinding light flickering between heaven and earth like a series of planes.

Then, he saw countless, vibrant lines of every color flowing between his fingers, moving as freely and lightly as if they possessed a will of their own.

They were like dancing sprites, and it was the endless gathering of these lines that formed light itself.

As Yang An’s consciousness focused further, these fine lines broke down into innumerable points. Each point was like an individual entity, each one radiating an unparalleled brilliance that filled every corner of this world.

’Is this light?’

Yang An became completely immersed in this kaleidoscopic world, so much so that he forgot his own existence. His entire consciousness seemed to merge with the light. He himself broke down into countless planes, then countless lines, and finally became one of the dense points of light.

Brilliant, scorching, dazzling!

In this state, he gradually began to understand more, and he came to a realization: despite all the Techniques he had cultivated, his command of light was incredibly crude.

In a place he could not see, outside the Forbidden Land Core, the Sunlight had originally been dissolving Yang An’s body faster than he could recover.

In just a short time, even though his own myriad lights had drastically slowed the process, more than half of his body had already turned to ash.

But in the very instant he reached his enlightenment about light, his body began to recover at an unimaginable speed.

At that moment, his body seemed to become a black hole. The light he had been emitting began to collapse inward, absorbed back into him.

The area around him grew dim, only to be instantly refilled by the Sunlight pouring down, becoming dazzling once more.

Then, his body began to absorb the Sunlight itself. Every part of him, down to every last pore, drew in the particles of light. At that moment, his body and consciousness achieved perfect unity.

His consciousness was merging with light, and so too was his body.

’This is light, and I am light!’

As if unraveling silk from a cocoon, the immensely huge sun drawing ever closer in the sky suddenly showed signs of deconstruction.
