Chapter 606 - 347: Parasite (Part 3)
"Don’t you recognize me? Back in Celestial Jing State, you wanted to take me as your master."
Yang An didn’t remove his mask. He only revealed his identity after realizing this woman was directly connected to Forbidden Calamity.
With just this piece of information, the woman wouldn’t know what had happened to him or guess anything else.
But after hearing Yang An’s words, a look of joyful surprise suddenly appeared on the woman’s face.
"Master?!"
She wielded the Forbidden Calamity Cauldron, a Magical Artifact. As long as she made a wish to this artifact, any request that wasn’t too outrageous would be granted.
The woman had once wished upon the Forbidden Calamity Cauldron to see Yang An again. After such a long time had passed without it happening, she thought the wish hadn’t worked. She never expected they would meet by chance today.
Yang An’s face fell. He hadn’t expected this to be her first word after he revealed his identity.
He had never, from start to finish, agreed to be her master.
"Your disciple, Liu Feifei, greets you, Master."
The woman excitedly flew over, finally stopping several meters in front of Yang An.
Yang An thought for a moment, then decided not to bother with her. His goal was to meet Forbidden Calamity. Since the Bow Lady said Forbidden Calamity’s aura was on Liu Feifei, it meant the entity was hiding somewhere nearby.
"Master, have you been well?"
Yang An’s sudden, out-of-the-blue question left Liu Feifei bewildered.
The commoners who had traveled from afar outside Nirvana City had finally all entered. Just then, the Bronze Cauldron above Liu Feifei’s head suddenly flew up, trailing a long umbilical cord, and stopped in front of Yang An.
"He says: you’ve finally come."
The Bow Lady’s voice rang in Yang An’s ear, relaying the message from Forbidden Calamity.
"Has the master gone mute?"
Yang An asked subconsciously, surprised that the Bow Lady was acting as a translator.
"He’s in the same state as me right now."
The Bow Lady explained, and Yang An understood immediately.
In other words, Forbidden Calamity currently existed only as a soul, not in a physical form.
But as soon as the words were spoken, Liu Feifei, who stood before him, suddenly froze.
An eye suddenly opened on the Bronze Cauldron without any warning. The umbilical cord connected to it pulled Liu Feifei closer.
Liu Feifei’s clothes tore open. Below the point where the umbilical cord connected, on her smooth, fair abdomen, a mouth ripped open. No blood flowed out. Instead, neat rows of teeth were revealed, forming a strange smile directed at Yang An.
Within the mouth-like cavity, one could even clearly see writhing intestines and other organs. It was a truly demonic sight.
The large mouth opened and closed, emitting a familiar voice.
"This old monk has been awaiting you, Benefactor, for a long time. Now that we meet today, I must ask: do you still require the item from our previous transaction?"
Judging by the voice, it was indeed Forbidden Calamity.
Liu Feifei’s expression looked as if she were in some sort of trance. Like a puppet on strings, she pressed her palms together in a posture of devout prayer.
Although this bizarre scene was strange, Yang An had seen plenty of stranger things and was no longer easily fazed.
He had misjudged Forbidden Calamity’s current state. It seemed less like a disembodied soul and more like a parasite living in this woman named Liu Feifei.
With the Bow Lady having already confirmed Forbidden Calamity’s identity, Yang An nodded in response.
"It is good that you remember, Benefactor. In that case, please follow me."
