Realizing he had gained control of the Xian Origin Land and possessed a unique, exceptional quality within it, Yang An immediately came up with an idea.

Beside the campfire, Fu Ming was still quietly waiting for Yang An’s response, but Yang An had been silent for some time.

Just then, Yang An lifted a hand, pulled open his shirt, and suddenly plunged his other hand into his own chest. Blood immediately gushed from the wound, streaming down his body.

"Junior Brother, what is this?"

Fu Ming’s face was a mask of confusion. He didn’t understand what Yang An was doing or why he would suddenly harm himself.

Yang An paid him no mind. With his chest torn open, he picked up the Moon Talisman and stuffed it inside the cavity.

He could have inflicted the pain on himself, of course. After all, it was his soul that had entered this place, not his physical body.

But to be on the safe side, not knowing what he might encounter upon entering the Deep World, it was safest to leave this task to the Bow Lady. He only trusted her.

The Bow Lady hadn’t expected Yang An to do this either. She was too shocked to speak.

"Since I can enter and leave this place freely, my soul can probably protect you. That way, you can do whatever you need to inside my body without any issues."

The wound healed with incredible speed, completely encasing the Moon Talisman within Yang An’s chest.

"..."

The Bow Lady was speechless.

"Want to try it now?"

Yang An asked with a smile.

"Fine. I won’t bite you this time. I’ll use my hand. And listen, you little brat, if you can’t take it, you have to speak up."

The Bow Lady seemed to have finally regained her usual assertiveness. Being inside Yang An’s body gave her an immense sense of security. It had actually worked.

However, this time was different. Entering the deeper levels of the Xian Origin Land required not a momentary burst of agony, but continuous, ever-intensifying pain.

Therefore, if Yang An couldn’t bear it, she would stop at a moment’s notice to prevent any harm from coming to him.

"With your hand? Okay!"

For Yang An, who had never seen the Bow Lady’s true form, the mere mention of her "hand" filled him with anticipation. Though he knew that the pain to come was no laughing matter, he still readily agreed.

At that moment, Yang An looked back at Fu Ming.

"Senior Brother, True Illusion comes after the Gray Scale, right? What’s that place like?"

Seeing Yang An’s bizarre actions, it seemed he had found a method other than the Lighting Technique to enter the Deep World. Fu Ming had no intention of prying and, in fact, looked on with great anticipation.

"If you make it to True Illusion, I will still be there. I’ll answer your questions then."

"Okay."

Fu Ming’s answer was the reassurance Yang An needed, but first, he had to actually make it to the next level.

Mentally calling for the Bow Lady to begin, Yang An waited in quiet anticipation.

The first thing he felt was a pressure on the organs inside his body, as if something had appeared from nowhere. Then came a sudden, faint, chilling sensation.

The sensation spread through his warm chest, pressing against the inner wall of his ribs as it slowly roamed about.

Soon, a coldness touched his Heart. The sensation shot straight to his head, making him shiver.

He could almost feel it directly, through his Heart—a soft, tender hand was gripping it. The touch was gentle, incredibly smooth.

’Is this the Bow Lady’s hand?’

To have his Heart held by such a hand was a feeling he had never experienced before. It was almost intoxicating.

The pain was sudden. It wasn’t like a torrential downpour in a thunderstorm, but more like a silent, creeping flood.

By the time you notice the river water turning muddy and rising past your knees, the flash flood is already upon you.

An indescribable pain transitioned from light to heavy in a single, rapid moment. The agony originating from his Heart instantly suffused his entire body, his very soul.

He sucked in a sharp breath. Unable to control the pain, as the seconds ticked by, the sound of his own breathing became deafening. Just as expected, his consciousness began to blur, and he drifted into a hazy state.

Everything around him seemed to be changing, silently and without a trace. The world was the same, yet everything was in flux, flowing like water.

The pain lasted for ten breaths before the Bow Lady, her voice a little tense, asked how Yang An was feeling.

Enduring the pain, his body feeling strangely light and buoyant, Yang An replied that he was fine.

When he raised his head, wanting to see if anything had changed and if his attempt had been successful...

...he froze, stunned by the sight before him.
