Chapter 2225: Going Underground

Gaia flew to Arad’s face and sat on his hair. "I like this form of you more." She looked down at his face. "I like the beard." She then threw a glance at Nina. "Do you like beards?"

"All barbarians have them so yes." Nina replied as she jumped to Arad’s side, and then looked down at the ground. "How are we going to do this?"

"Simple." Gaia pointed into the distance, and a stone pillar emerged in the middle of the woods. "See that? The location is twenty kilometers underground." Hearing that, Arad audibly gasped. "That’s deep. I don’t think I ever saw a natural cave go that deep."

Gaia flew into the air, turned into a slime-like brown ball of mud, and then squished herself into a pancake. "Loci is shaped like this, since she is very heavy and massive. Gravity flattens her. She is several hundred kilometers wide, but only a few kilometers thick."

She then returned to her regular form and kept flying around in circles, and showed Arad her arm. "She is barely skin deep for me." Sometimes, Arad even forgot that Gaia’s true body is the planet itself. This earth spirit was as stupidly powerful as that, and she was just here playing with him.

"Let’s go." Arad expanded his wings and carried Nina in his arms, flying with her down toward the pillar that Gaia made. In his arms, she smiled. "You know, I don’t mind being carried like this."

Arad quickly pulled her head toward him and gave her a deep, long kiss, and as their lips parted, he held her tightly in a hug. "I’ll carry you whenever you want. You just have to ask."

She hugged his neck. "I’ll take you up on that later." Gaia watched from the sided with a tired and annoyed face.

When they landed on the pillar, Arad looked around and noticed that several of the titanic monsters were already getting close to inspect the newly formed landmark, but the moment they sensed him, they all fled in panic.

^Arad. Do you have a moment? We’re getting several magical messages from all around the world, trying to confirm if we know anything about the Tarrasque, and some even asked if she was really your wife. What should I tell them? We can’t hide Nina’s true power any longer.^

Arad thought about it for a few seconds, and then had to rely on his draconic instincts. ^Those who have a relationship with us, whether it is trade, political, or have one of their women in the private quarter, reply to them with an explanation about Nina. Keep what you think should be kept a secret. For those we have no relationship with, just tell them that the rumors are true. Cite the fact that Nina did no damage to illustrate that keeping her as my wife is working in the favor of world peace.^

Merlin was silent for a long moment, and then replied. ^Won’t that stress any future relationship with them?^

^It will, but this isn’t about gaining their favor. It’s about establishing the authority of our empire, and I’m thinking more about the maids and servants than just trade.^ He smiled. ^Use this opportunity to make sure that even if the lowest-ranking servant in the quarter gets sent to a foreign country, the king would need to step down from his throne to allow her to sit on it.^

^Got it, I’ll get Isdis on board.^

As the call cut off, Arad turned around to face Gaia and Nina, who were ready to Earth Glide down to where the new baby was going to show up. "What about Meryem?"

"She is already down there waiting for us. She had her daughters build an entire network underground." Her entire colony had grown into more than a billion giant ants and had spread far and wide across the entire continent.

"Let’s go catch up with her then." Both Arad and Nina slid onto the ground like ghosts.

Earth Glide was a strange skill, as it allowed people to phase through all natural earthly matter like stone, dirt, and even ore nodes. But it doesn’t allow them to phase through refined metals.

While they couldn’t see in front of them, they could still use tremor sense to guide themselves, but today, they only followed the magic trail that Gaia left for them, and they kept falling down for a while before reaching the point they were heading to.

When they reached the spot, they were surprised to emerge into a vast cavern and land on solid ground. Arad looked around and then sent a flash of magical light into the sky. What he saw next made him freeze for a second.

The cavern was several hundred meters wide and filled with countless small ponds of natural hot springs, several layers, and beautiful waterfalls. But what drew all of their attention was the over a thousand naked women resting there; they all had olive skin, long black and dark brown hair, and long horns on their heads.

They all stared at Arad with empty gazes in their eyes and stood, kneeling down as Meryem walked naked on their heads. "Arad, my love. Welcome." As she approached Arad, she knelt in front of him. "I prepared this place just for you."

All of those women were Meryem’s daughters that she spawned as a Dungeon Boss, and those thousand were just a tiny drop of her entire army. Each one of those was as powerful as an adult earth dragon and only lacked the ability to fly.

"They are quite strong." He looked at them, and Meryem stood up with a smile. "They aren’t my best. Those are out there digging and expanding the network." She turned around and called one of her daughters to approach, and they did.

"They do look a bit the same... but feel free to use them as you wish." As she leaned on her daughter’s shoulder, the daughter’s passive face shifted to an annoyed glare, and she immediately pushed Meryem away. "You said the king is strong enough to rule the dungeon... but from what I can see, we take him down."

Meryem immediately laughed, "Listen, even with me and all of our forces combined, we will never be able to even scratch him." She approached Arad and leaned on him. "He can destroy the entire planet with us in it. He is on another scale."

The daughter then approached Arad. "Then, he won’t mind playing a little game? Right?"

"What kind of game?" Arad asked with a smile, and the daughter cracked her neck and stretched her arms. "Let’s wrestle then..." But the moment she approached, Nina got between her and Arad. "On your knees, now."

Hearing that, the daughter smiled. "Make me." And Nina did just that. She put her hand on the daughter’s head and pushed her face down to the ground. "What... is this..."

The giant ants were known for their immense strength and durability, so for someone to just force her to the ground like that was almost unheard of. "Not even your mother can reach him, so don’t ever think of touching him without her approval. Another world and I’ll shove my foot up your ass."

Nina then looked at all the ants as her Tarrasque aura started leaking out. "Any one of you want to get eaten?" All of Meryem’s daughters backed away as they started shaking. To them, it was as if they had seen an anteater.
