The Economics of Prophecy

Eight Stories: From Late Experiments to Politics

Everybody shut up. I surrounded my desk and a heavy silence arose in the lab. Silence because you succeeded in the experiment, but no, you succeeded. crisis in the western part of the kingdom, which appeared not as vague prophecies but as solid data.

The idyllic village I just saw a few days ago comes back to life. Return to the village now to prepare for evacuation….

"Oh yes, publish this fact quickly and evacuate the villages..."

Alfina stood up with a stiff face. Her desperate look made her head cold. I calm my breath and open my mouth.

"Calm down, Master Alfina."

"Mr. Ricardo!?

Even though you predicted the Warcraft Flood, it's written on Alfina's face. Indeed, now our hypothesis, "the outbreak of warcraft flooding in the West," has been tested in experiments.

It turned the scourge of prophecy, which only Alfina could see, into visible figures. To be honest, I didn't expect results so beautifully. It went so well. Not so far.

But it's not a glimmer from here.

Nature is honest. At least to the best of my honesty. Monsters will honestly react to magic patterns. Even if there has never been a warcraft flood. But look at the same thing. What about humans?

"In the East, the Knights are dispatched at a stage where omens are confirmed, right?"

"Well, we need top individuals at the core of herd control. If we can get rid of this, the Warcraft will start eating together. We can collapse the herd before it floods."

"If it were a Knights' assignment, it would take the form of life as a result of the Cabinet meeting."

Fulsey nodded. That means going through the supreme decision-making of the state.

"If this pattern emerges from observations in the East, the Knights will be dispatched without any problems. But now it's only natural that the Knights needed to be dispatched twice before they could decide first."

Fulsey said in a flat tone. I can't ask you any emotions. But the old man's eyes saw a girl like his granddaughter.

"In a place without precedent. Predictions by unprecedented methods. There's no way they can appreciate it as much as the Orient does."

"That's so clear. Even without precedent..."

If I kept going, a girl who was going to taste the same feeling saw an old man. The authority of the Warcraft Flood, Fulsey's tattoo, is important. Without it it would be student free research. But...

"Let's promise that Nong will assure us that this conclusion is definite. I don't care who it is. For the royal palace, however, it is nothing more than a recluse old man. If we were to raise it to the morning table, it would be a matter of time for formal proceedings. It takes months early. Even if it wasn't rejected once in the meantime. Finally, there is a poor compromise with the person responsible for the current observation. You can develop the way you think."

It is decidedly not enough to move the national centre in time for the outbreak of disaster.

Let's say a groundbreaking method of seismic prediction was discovered on a modern planet where trust in science and technology rests. Society gets fussy, experts praise the discoverer. But how long will it take for it to move the administration through legislation? A few months would also be an overly optimistic prediction.

I saw the faces I gathered here. Until the analysis of the prophecy, it was an ideal team. It is, however, the worst member in terms of implementing measures.

"Wow, I will speak to Your Majesty again."

"It's counterproductive."

Meer ran out. Unfortunately, I agree. Alfina is neglected because of prophecy.

Besides, speaking of personal feelings, she took enough risks already, and played a full role.

"Let's do this. It's not a prophecy. It's a prediction. It's a prediction made by everyone here."

"Mr. Ricardo? That is, of course. So whatever I do..."

Alfina looked at me with a puzzled look.

"It's misunderstood when a little cunning connoisseur's senior puts it that way"

"Right. That's what the kid says. You don't have to carry the princess alone anymore."

"Ricardo..."

"Chi, no. It means that it can be treated differently from prophecy than it is prediction. Talk about how well you might be able to share it with someone you've inquisited with. That's the story."

I busily moved my hands and insisted. I don't care how many nights I try to protect my princess, if they expect me to play such a role, I don't care how many safeties I have.

"needs a person with a voice. Hopefully, a grand aristocrat with territory in the West. Listen to Master Alfina at the very least. The logical story makes sense. I'm not afraid to overturn the precedent."

I'll name a condition. My face starts to stifle. In this case, I don't expect the ideal person, etc., so I prioritize and narrow down the candidates among the raised conditions. But this time there are at least too many hurdles needed, too expensive. It's just a missing element in the establishment of this country.

Fulsey twists her neck. Meer is also silent. My connections are less than these two.

Previous bumps came around at the heart. In the first place, one of the purposes I came in here was to find a great man whose numbers would make sense. But I laughed because I even overlooked the existence of Fulsey.

Silence spread to the room. What's different is that it's starving.

"Um, I was going to give it to you after this story."

But Alfina suddenly put a seal on the table. It's an official letter sealed with beeswax. To... Me!?

"My aunt said that..., because I wanted to ask you something before"

"Did this last time mean when Master Alfina was forced to follow his senior trip"

"It's not a trip. It's a job. And I only gave you guidance from Bertoldo to Leiria. Jacob was with me on the road..."

I opened the seal in a hurry. I go through more plain sentences than I thought. Of course, the only thing that's easy is the text, and the content is a subpoena named Invitation.

"The date is tomorrow. Isn't it normal for a grand aristocrat to afford time? When I rush to call, I feel like I'm in a hurry and it involves the format, like"

I could honestly say I never wanted to go, and I saw Alfina like I was asking for salvation.

"My aunt doesn't really care about that."

Alfina smiled nicely.

"But I have plans to deal with the Warcraft Flood..."

I saw Meer in search of salvation.

…………

"Earlier conditions. Grand Duke Bertoldo wouldn't want to wear it."

Fulsey said. Ideal for this purpose if you think about it. It all applies. This invitation is a sea onion. But what if this is the carp on the slab? They must have eaten us.

He told me to present it to the grand aristocrats faster to count from above. Besides, I can't do it in a day of preparation or anything.

"Well, that's not hard. Now, think about the complaint in the letter of recommendation…"

"It's okay. Ricardo, I was very interested in you."

like every person, Fulsey said. It looks cooperative, but I'm willing to push it. Alfina's expected caged eyes also hurt. How easy it is to blow the fate of civilians in the direction of that interest.

"Seniors, please indicate the format of the data and diagrams required"

Meer starts organizing the data as a matter of course. Such a bunch of irregularities makes teamwork perfect at some point. Except for me, who can't follow.

"I don't like presentations unscrupulous. I knew this place was a function of the year..."

"It was your Lord who invited me.......... well, let's write it down that some of the students of the last decade have excelled. Well, it's too much to be used as a social dictionary, and if it doesn't come with it..."

"Ricardo will be fine."

The highest hurdle ever set. I nodded with a pulled smile.

I don't have a better choice than that originally. The cautious say they will be prepared that they have no choice. But the first person to stay alive only feels the fear of no escape.

Yeah, well, that's the trick to presenting. Indeed, there is one theme per slide, and the flow of the argument is simple, with conclusions first...... Yes, it's important that animations are not diverse... Powers “ I don ’ t know.

"That is. The most important thing is that the information shows................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................... Because the word information rather makes the value of information look light...... Which one do you assume is the Grand Duke, the woman, Alfina's aunt? Oh, we don't have time for this anymore."

When I got home, I was doing image training for tomorrow. I should have studied manners. I would count on the princess's support for that.

Is the date about to change yet? It's inconvenient not knowing the exact time.

Concon

"At this hour?

When I turn around, the door opens and Meer comes in. The candle light doesn't tell the complexion, but the expression doesn't have the usual calmness. In the first place, it's strange to come in without a response.

"Seniors. Jacob said he had a report."

"Jacob? Jacob's in Leiria with his dad."

My father is traveling to Leiria. It was today that the experiment confirmed it, but I had it moved before that. Now I'm working on a presentation that moves the country, but naturally, I'll assume it didn't.

My dad finished delivering supplies for evacuation and by now he should be on his way home.

"No way, something happened to my father"

I asked Jacob, who followed Meer in.

"No, the chairman is safe. It's just..."

"What?"

"One of the children in the village was about to be exposed to a stranger. Luckily, I got nothing because we were together. So, it seems the man was sniffing around about honey. The supplies I carried this time were a little big in terms of type and size to go to the village, so there was a leak of information from around there."

"Drefano? That's Drefano."

In an instant there was blood on my head. I punched my fist at my desk. The feather pen I had placed danced in the sky and fell to the floor.

"Please calm down, seniors"

Meer picks it up and gives it to me.

"Why, there didn't happen to be any damage this time. I mean........................ cum"

The kid in the village means I know Meer. She should be much more worried.

Take a deep breath and breathe.

He's been sedated lately, but Drefano's an enemy. If you're upset that the enemy has acted hostile, you can't protect anything. You can be angry, but you're not allowed to be surprised.

"............... how far did you find out back there? What does my father say?"

Confirm the information first.

"The chairman is staying in Bertoldo to find out about the route he purchased supplies from. A man is an adventurer collapse from gear and technology. Bertoldo was the stronghold of our party, so there's a lot to tell. If Remi checks on that line, something will come up. I'm in charge of Wang Du."

Because the big merchants can't expand the business. Most of the profits from honey are invested in people. Me and Meer go to college, too. Jacob and the others are too smart to be considered for hire by the Small Chamber. Now I just have to believe that.

"... prioritize narrowing down enemies. Drefano is the first candidate. I don't care how much money you spend..., but you can spend your share of this year's budget."

"I thought you'd say that."

"Leave the presentation to me, and Meer will turn to help Jacob. However, keep the information organized and never go outside alone."

"Okay. Mr. Jacob. Drefano and his relationship are getting worse. Kenwell's surroundings, too, please."

Copy that.

The two of them walk out the door, discussing.

I will never forgive you. I'm not allowed, but I shouldn't be, but I'm not. I won't actually forgive you. It doesn't matter if there was no real harm. I crossed the line when there was a real possibility of harm.

The world I was in has these words. Five cents for an inch of bugs, and revenge.
