The Economics of Prophecy

Story 8: Day Two of Middle

Even in the splendid school building, the students gathered in front of a splendid room, the Student Council Room. What they're looking at with their blood-running eyes is a tentative list of orders stuck out in front of the room. 42 in all. Among them, the catering relationship counts more than two hundred and twenty-two shops.

"Though as expected. The economy's not good."

I lowered my gaze to the bottom of the list and told Dulcan to groan. The ranking of the Holdings' members is consolidated at the bottom, as all six stores are in deficit on their first day. We're two steps ahead of Vinder. Downstairs is like a broken shop. Just two stores sandwiched in the luxurious space of the Grand Chamber of Commerce, a quote I couldn't help but take a tenant.

"Because the school building was busy, I couldn't go to see it. Looks like you're trying, Alfina."

Hilda came out of the room and scolded the civilian students, but said with a little regret as she approached Alfina. For her, the plan to make the Virgin Blessed is a priority rather than a profit from sales.

"Yes, everyone in the food coat did their best."

To his sarcastic words, Alfina responded calmly while controlling Crowe. I'm a good actor at times like this. Doesn't look like there's any kind of crisis.

"It's a big deal just to let a mock shop that size appear in the courtyard. Uh, was it Vinder?"

Leonardo called out. He's in charge of this ranking. I'd like you to forget your name if possible.

"I managed to take shape. I will try not to disobey the courtesy of the student council that gave me the chance."

I answered like a junior mirror.

"Let me advise you as a senior. The rarity is the only thing that will distract you."

"Kalest seems to be in first place in grandeur. Congratulations."

Calestos calls out, not even through the murderous gaze of the members.

"Oh, you can't rank me embarrassed as the next food guild chief's house."

Turn to the Kenwell brothers and sisters in the second seat, where Theodore's eyes are quite different. The guild leader decision will still be ahead of us, but it's a quick one.

"Tomorrow the Second Prince of the Empire, His Royal Highness Dagobad, will also be present. As a King's Graduate, I hope you're not ashamed of your work."

Hilda closed. When the civilian students bow their heads to her, they leave the room. The Empire cares too, but now it's full of Holdings operations and alert to enemies in school. You can only count on Jacob and the others.

◇ ◇

"Wait a minute, tell them to get double what they got today."

"I've certainly grown my customers' legs since this afternoon, but I haven't even reached a profit yet."

"If it sells out... Ugh"

Back in the courtyard, I suggested to the members about tomorrow's preparations. Of course, we were to gather a gaze of confusion. You're asking me to increase the amount even though I'm in a deficit.

"Let's just talk about it. Look, Vinder's the head of Holdings for once."

Lilka said to protect me. What Dalgan and Prla don't deny under the word. It tickles me a little that Lilka no longer hesitates to take sides with me.

"- I'd like to confirm that you're only doubling the number of one-plate lunches."

"Yes."

I snorted at Roston's words.

"Well, the reputation of the guests who ate it was excellent. Hmm."

"............ Each one is small, so I can handle it even if they say it's double. With our power."

"Fine, I'm sorry to say this, but we're juice, so it's easy for you."

"............ so, but I need to hear the rationale"

I gave everyone the aggregate results I received from Meer.

"Because the change in customer type shows that the reputation of food coats is spreading to snowman ceremonies"

What Meer was tallying about was the tendency of customers to order one-plate lunches.

"Is that the number of customers? I mean, how do you know what the type of customer is?

"That's the tendency of Lilka and Meer to check ornaments"

I showed a graph recording the number of customers wearing popular colors and designs, the colors and designs that were popular a while ago, and unusual designs that didn't even show signs of fashion yet.

"And the rumors are spreading faster than expected, too. Look at the hourly sales curve."

"Every hour is such a fine idea, Vinder."

Dalgan's eyes nailed to Meer's graph, as good as it sounded. It's called innovator theory. However, unlike modern Japan, which was always connected by SNS, this one has a low rate of information circulation and no mass media.

But it should have been the first time Everett Rogers had published this theory in 1960, a time when the smartphones were barely even galactic. And this time the market is very narrow. The aristocratic society can also be described as a small village that loves rumors.

It was decided that although it was impossible to read through how conflicting elements would at best fit together, it was possible to apply them.

"Classification of the customer's personality? That's a mindset I've never heard of. No, I know the reason. There are a certain number of customers who like rare things. Of all the noblemen I've ever known. And sometimes the customer's reputation attracts another customer. But it's only three days."

"I admit some sort of logic. But, for example, what happens by pinching tonight? And all of a sudden, it's double."

Doubt is best. But the battle can be just three days. The risk of extinguishing the fire is greater than the risk of remaining sold. I have confidence in visual rarity. It should work just to see the rumors pinned in my ear as they come and go between the school building and the East Room.

"There is a risk. On the other hand, if you keep going like this, you'll be spared the deficit tomorrow. What will you do?

I saw the members. This decision must be shared by all. And this is a risk we can take. I think that's what people here would judge me to be.

"- One Plate Lunch is the Holdings menu, so to speak. I mean, Vinder, your jurisdiction. I agree with his policy."

"It's hard not to win more than to join"

"If you have a chance, why don't you ride? Well, doubling it isn't a big deal."

"You just have to think it's the worst publicity cost."

"Oh yeah...... Yeah, I'll try."

Everyone nodded. The risk of this increase in production is divided. Stocks are not the only advantages of subdivision. Except if everyone agrees. We accomplished that difficult condition lightly.

◇ ◇

"Not as good as you expected, but a lot more than yesterday"

Lilka said after seeing seats buried to less than half. Apart from the sarcastic tone, there is relief in the expression.

"Sorry to make you worry."

"Beh, nothing. I'm glad your prediction hassled and you're not ashamed, I don't think so."

I didn't mean it like that.

"I'm finally starting to sell anything but plates. Everybody says there's nothing to complain about."

Lilka went back to her tenant when she said so.

"What do you say, Meer?"

"The development to the hypothesis continues. However, the percentages change slightly faster. I think it captures the Early Adapter completely."

"It's only our second morning. If you eat into the volume zone by the end of the day,

The number of guests jumps at once. I didn't even think about the possibility that it wasn't double enough.

"Looks like the quality of the one plate lunch was too high. Because you can see the beauty with your eyes."

"Let's talk to Dalgan and Prla, at least the guests we ate yesterday will direct us to each Chamber of Commerce dish. It's a menu for that from the beginning."

I turned to my senior class.

In the afternoon, the customer foot was growing even more. Seat filling is about 60%. If I looked from the outside, it would be like I'm finally in shape. But if you think about the rate of increase, it's a threat. Looking at the results of Meer's analysis, it is possible that she is already in the biggest category, or Early Majority.

"Do you have too much plate lunch?

"Because each Chamber of Commerce's induction into the main dish has been successful. However, if it's as my predecessors hypothesized, I'll definitely be short tomorrow. It's better to have a seat before cooking."

Physical constraints are inherently the hardest to solve. But that's the advantage of the courtyard. There are as many places as there are.

"More seats?

Lilka with a kiwton, but she looks hazy when she sees the seats that have begun to arrive at 70%.

"Okay. Ask the Kenwell system outside the head office."

"Please. Senior Dulcan. Can you help me when I'm done with today's business because I want to carry a table from the old librarian's office"

"Oh, I'll gather my pride of strength."

If you hit it, you two respond so that it sounds.

After that, watch out for Calest's jamming. Zeldia, who had just come under the guise of coincidence, said with a slightly drawn smile, "I'm glad you're going to make a fortune. Something like you're surprised you're normally able to do business in the courtyard. Then we can still afford it.

But will you be equally alarmed at the end of today?

"Exclusive seating in reverse cherry blossoms...... There doesn't seem to be room for that many people over there, and it's the civilian students who make it work in the first place. You won't have the courage to sit there even though the noblemen are waiting. Direct obstruction will be difficult, at least during the holding time..."

I was thinking about jamming things that could happen in my head. Target is naturally setting up a management company. We will. Then there are specifications for dealing with it, we're not selling anything, we're light.

"Fina... it seems to have gone beyond greeting Master Alfina. If I have it today, after all, is the problem after business hours? What time is enough for both security and the expansion of the food court?............... what the fuck is that group!?

Bitter black clothes walk towards Alfina's tent. Five men, no less than the students around them, one a woman? It's as uncomfortable as throwing a school run inside a mission-based school.

And from the tent came Claudia and Luitzer. The two began pressing questions with a black group.

"Senior"

"Oh, I'm gonna go for a second"

I honestly don't want to get involved with each other, but this is also my role as head of the food court. Because if the customers who are eating in a good atmosphere are fed water, they will be disqualified as administrators.

"It would be disrespectful to His Royal Highness Dagobad."

Said the girl who refrained from being on the side of a man in an international fine outfit. She looks like a dark-haired, blue-eyed sidetail girl.

The man with the invincible face, Dagobird, also has dark hair and blue eyes in common. Relatives or something? The other three men are solidifying Dagobad's left and right and behind him. Red and tea are two.

All five have stamped their chests with a crest like three bundles of swords.

Same as the flag of the Empire. Right, the Imperial students these guys were talking about yesterday. Something like honoring Alfina? There's something wrong with the air for that.

"My greeting to Your Highness should have been done at yesterday's welcoming party"

"I was trying to invite you to the dance, but I'm still worried that you got away with it. Opportunity because of it. Let us deepen friendship among those who bear the kingdom. Do you mean to interrupt it?"

"Master Alfina is not directly involved in the national government, being in the diocese. Besides, considering twenty years ago. I believe this is for both countries."

Claudia doesn't pull a step while maintaining her polite words. I remember her away from the Lord at the behest of the house, and I was seriously impressed.

"Claw. Luitsah"

Alfina came out of the tent.

"Oh, Princess Alfina."

The man's eyes bore a raptor-like light that saw his prey.

"If you ask, aren't we talking about saving the country by predicting the Warcraft flood ahead of time, the Empire has been plagued by the harms of the Warcraft for a long time, and I'd love to hear about that time?"

"About prophecy is a matter of state. Isn't it a topic that should be discouraged if you are a national guest?"

"Besides, Master Alfina is stuffed with his work as a Sage Festival Officer"

Claudia was followed by Luitsia.

"That's crazy. Duchess Hilda tells me you've been assigned an extra role."

Said the girl close by. But Luitzer showed the food coat flat on his hands.

"No, it's very busy like this. Moreover, this is the first attempt to open a mock shop in the courtyard and so on, and there are mountains of cases that must be adjudicated by Master Alfina. Please understand that I have come all the way from the Empire to entertain His Royal Highness the Crown Prince."

The brunette girl was slightly frightened by Luetua's words. Is this your chance?

"And, and, and, and, and I'm sorry,"

I entered with a body that was under pressure from all the great men. This is the "Why am I here myself" and "I pulled the poverty lottery, what am I going to do" act that I've become good at over the past six months. No, maybe you don't need to act. Imperial royalty is powerful in front of you.

He's half a head taller than me, and he's in a disappointing shape. Even from the top of my clothes, I can tell how muscle-covered I look. More like a gladiator than a prince, seen in a movie.

"Dear Alfina, That………, the mock shoppers caused trouble. I wish the princess would take the time to arbitrate...

I said with a frightened look at the black prince. It's like a bug's eye over there. No, not only the prince, but the other four basically remain the same. And the subject isn't just me. Both Alfina, Claudia and Luiza, and the graduate students who have begun to gather around, feel like they are looking down on all of it.

Didn't the Empire have a hard time with the damage caused by the Warcraft and come to ask the Kingdom to accommodate the food?

"I can't throw that away. Vinder, take the princess."

Claudia stood in front of the prince, who tried to forcefully come forward, uttering words that doubted his ears. But not long after listening back, I felt a black group kill me.

I took Alfina's hand reflexively.

I painstakingly send signals with my gaze to Jacob and Remi, who were waiting at the edge of my sight. And then without even looking back, I pulled Alfina's hand.
