The Economics of Prophecy

Ten Stories: Second Half Next Prophecy

"What happens to Kalest?

I asked the Grand Duke. He sits on a simple luxurious chair prepared by the butler under an umbrella dedicated by the maid. Even in Lower Town nobility seems aristocratic.

"I'm sorry I even used private soldiers, but unlike Drefano, I can't even say that I caused a national crisis. Regardless of the current owner, the Chamber itself will remain. The Grand Duke and the Chancellor of the East are also moving in the direction of advocacy."

"Most importantly, the great failure of the arrowhead to re-establish relations with the Chancellor's family. You can rub all the factions there."

The butler supplemented. I hear this guy's binding intelligence, too.

While I'm thinking about it, the Raiders are being shipped. There, one carriage approached. Funny, I don't have any more visitors planned.

One man came from a fine, but small wagon that seemed to work. I knelt before the Grand Duke. He's a skinny good guy. He looks similar to some twin I've seen recently.

"This is the Grand Duke of Bertoldo. We met unexpectedly."

When I finished greeting the Grand Duke, the man walked towards me. Lilka raised her voice of surprise.

"Dear Cornez,"

"Hey Lilka. Thank you for your time as a messenger."

I see. Kenwell's chairman just decided to be the next guild president.

"I was wondering how you'd use that story, but I didn't know you'd make it this far."

Sounds serene. An attitude that does not put authority forward is preferable to Drefano or Kalest. I won't be alarmed.

"Congratulations to the Director of the Food Alliance," he said.

"Oh, congratulations on your promotion to a silver member, too. It's early, though."

There is an element inside that cannot be ignored in the words returned to Salari.

"... wasn't that a rumor?

"A real one would be more effective in attracting Kalest. Now, Lord Paul Vinder, let's pack up the story around there."

Kenwell laughed at his father.

"Even though His Excellency the Grand Duke is finally finished. I didn't ask you, Mr. Ricardo."

"I didn't hear that either. I'd also like to deal with the tyranny of the big merchants. Chairman."

Don't talk like you finally got rid of the Grand Duke case. I would like you to pay a little more attention to preservation as a co-subject. When Dad shrugged his shoulder, he invited Kenwell into the store.

"Can I ask you one thing? What would Kalest have done if he hadn't gotten his hands on it?

When it was wrong, Kenwell said.

"I won't do anything. A child's fight is a child's fight if the parent doesn't leave. After that, I won't have any trouble with Calest and Kenwell fighting for the fire powder not flying in here."

"You sound like Jean and Maria are right. When I become Alliance Chief, I will not turn my back on you. [M] Next time, they're gonna blow my neck off."

"It's over, isn't it? Let's continue our work. We need to clear the front door."

Alfina, who came out of the store with Meer, said as she looked at the broken pot. My maid and butler's gaze stabbed me.

"That's it, Alfie. The cathedral has contacted me. The crystals are making a scene again."

Said the Grand Duke with a face like he chewed up a bitter worm.

"The crystal... I get it. Ricardo, I'm sorry."

"Terrible. Prioritize your official duties."

Alfina instantly became the face of a public figure. When she exchanged a word or two with Meer, she headed to the Grand Duke's carriage early enough.

"... is it a prophecy"

"They're starting to show signs. Maybe you won't be in college for a while after the holidays."

"I thought the timing of the prophecy was fixed."

Even if I try to suppress it, the tone gives me a bitter taste.

"It was decided. Prophecy as an event."

The Grand Duke clouds his face. I put my fist on my forehead. Yes, you're real, not performance. The last time I handled it, I might honestly hear the prophecy this time. But......

"Wouldn't it be a bad second?"

"Right. I'd rather not have a prophecy."

I want to hope you're not the ominous one. It is too much power for an individual, such as being able to know beforehand the great calamity. Repeat, attract fear or dependence, or both. I don't see a bright future in every case. As for myself acknowledging Alfina's guardian, I don't want that girl carrying that stuff.

A crystal of prophecy? You need to ask Fulsey as soon as possible to see what mechanism it's working.

"You don't have to look like that, I'll see you again soon. Three days later, I invite my parents and my children to my house. Let's prepare some good tea. Don't worry, you don't need souvenirs. I wish you could make me some French."

"French toast sells something far more delicious than I make, though."

This is where I thought I didn't want to go anymore. I don't remember the taste of tea or anything, but I still remember only the butler's grandfather's killing that I felt on my back.

"Just kidding. We've decided to invest, but we'll still have to talk about it. Did Paul say shareholders' meeting? I'm not trying to open it."

said the Grand Duke as he twirled his feather fan. Then I have no choice. I don't know if you're a great nobleman, but Jianmae is a mechanism for discussing it on an equal footing as a shareholder.

"I'll make sure Vinder never turns to the enemy, either."

The Grand Duke's carriage left and the peace was finally restored in front of the store. Lilka said she helped clean up the front door.

My gaze is pointing at the reception room in the back. The head of her parent company is in talks with our father.

"It helps. Because seniors make enemies every step out of the house."

"When a man crosses the lair, he says he has seven enemies. I had no choice."

I said that in agony. Meer and Lilka laughed face-to-face.

Well, I did all the same this time. It's unfortunate that I couldn't stop the situation from getting troublesome at an acceleration.

◇ ◇

Night. Central continent.

At the center of a bowl of dry blood, the creature looked up at the blue moon. Spreading his arms, the bronze-colored hexagonal scale reflected the moonlight.

A dark crystal buried between the eyebrows is dyed red, absorbing the temper rising from the ground. A crystal pulsating in a calamitous glow at night silence. A pattern appears on both arms. Fluorescence flowing between scales stretches from arm to back as a membrane of the same color.

Lighter and tougher wings were formed than organs of the same function that had grown as toddlers. When you shake your arms up, the translucent veil includes the wind. The exuberant muscles contracted and struck the air vigorously. Slow body lifted easily into the air.

All the motion was natural. It manipulates two completely different kinds of energy and escapes the creature from the rays of gravity.

It went through the clouds in an instant. An organism that crawls through the earth would mow its consciousness into a thin atmosphere. But the muscles of the arms are boosting. An efficient circulatory system of air pumps oxygen from next to next into the wing-supporting muscles.

Control your posture in the air and look down. Between the clouds of cut off, overlooking the earth separated in two by a great river that flows from east to west. It was in the central mountainous area of the northern half that the creature flew. The creature's eyes are stronger than anywhere else, and I can see the redness of his temper.

We need tons of food for our next growth. Unlike my temper, I can't sit down and get it. In order to consume efficiently, we need a feeding ground capable of hunting large quantities of animals of some size.

Blood-running eyes turn west. There is land scattered with green plains among the mountains. Though thinner than in the center, I'm just tempted enough for him to operate.

The creature who makes herds in narrow green lands was his favorite bait. Each one is a little short in size, but the herd is significantly larger than other animals of the same size.

My back hurts. I remember the last time I hunted, after eating up two flocks, I got an unexpected counterattack from another flock. Aware of the only wound he has suffered, the scales that have just changed.

A distorted eye turned across the Great River, to the south.

Lack of care spreads over the plains. If it's that big, there must be a lot of bait. But it's an inconvenient place to operate. The mountain ranges between east and west of the plain are too far to scaffold. It won't be enough to store it in your forehead.

But the creature's eyes caught a red light on some of it. It is slightly distracted by isolated mountains near the Great River. The creature narrowed his eyes.
