The Economics of Prophecy

Twelve Stories: Second Half Trade Fair

Many merchants pack the outdoor stage behind the form.

Many merchants have dealings with Central Gardens, but there are many people in the Chamber of Commerce who have never seen them. Apparently, the publicity effect is outstanding. I can also see Hiraki and the artisans. It's a good trend.

"That's the protégé of Wangdu's blacksmith guild."

Prla said. The artisan guild was somewhat of an inherently peer-union nature. Naturally, the guild chief is not an honorary nobleman.

"Are you sure you want to talk in front of that"

Dolph blushed.

"It's okay. Demonstration is the key step."

"Is it really good for me to see it in front of you? Your idea of a mould would be the need for technology."

Bogan's eyes turned to the simple furnace installed in the unit.

"Yeah. Alfina. You're Fina for both of us. Because thanks to her and the Grand Duke, the rights relationship has been cleared."

At least not with regard to the kingdom. What you have to hide is not the mold itself.

"Even if they see you make it out of lead, you can't get rid of true iron know-how."

"Okay. In short, we should just show that the bearings can be mass-produced"

"That's right. On the contrary, Mr. Dolph should hide the jig or something as much as possible. We just need to know that we can replace the existing carriage bearings."

"It's harder for me, isn't it?... well, isn't it a big deal considering what you were explaining to Her Royal Highness"

Bogan finally became his usual face and Dolph said it like it was a jerk. They were walking in the cliff abyss blindfolded. He looks like one. If you could see it, that would have scared you, wouldn't it?

"… so the time taken between the Wang capital Bertoldo is reduced by one day. Loads increase by 20%."

Meer explained the information that the carriage buyer wanted, such as the time required for each section of the qualifying round and the main race. Numbers spoken pale in the usual sober tone. However, the assembled customer candidates were greatly discouraged.

Especially a well-dressed audience. The merchants are starting to change the color of their eyes. Meanwhile, humans dressed like the two who are about to appear are still a look of suspicion. We're talking about a sudden technological innovation because Vinder is Bertoldo, which has never had anything to do with carriages before. That would be unbelievable. Still, nobody takes a seat.

In front of the tent lies the proof of results. The First Knights carriage, Craig's with a goal cut at the top, and Kenwell's carriage. The physical presence is huge. The very existence of only one carriage together is proof that this trade fair is real.

Conversely, there are about this much performances to make me accept what I'm going to explain.

"This continues with two artisans in charge of improving the carriage in front of the tent."

Luetua said. I was asked to come to prove that I was a liver of the Grand Duke of Bertoldo. Euphiria can't let the boulders do it. It's out of the question to be in Alfina. I wanted you to give me a break for trying to put your face up to Craig.

Of course, the venue has been spared the appearance of the Viscount Lady.

It will attract a large number of customers who have nothing to do with business at this stage.

The sign of the workshop, which simplifies the Grand Duke Bertoldo's crest around a double circle. Before that, two men stood.

"This is Bogan, the blacksmith who will hand over the Bertoldo workshop, and Dolph, the woodworker."

Obviously, with two of the artisan outfits on stage, the blurring gets bigger. Their feeling is that they are not actors on the theatre stage, but that the choreographer who is cleaning will have gone up.

Gachan!

The mold was divided into (d) pieces and the ball of bearings made of lead and the inner and outer frames were removed. Bogan silently shows it to the audience and then replaces it with something that's already buried and polished. It's like a cooking show. I suggested it to save time. Falling in the sense of demonstration, but convincing has already proven to be too much.

The bearings of the finished product are passed through the shaft and a very small amount of lubricant is stabbed. And the axis is weighted. When Meer gently presses its weight, the axis rotates as it twists. After spinning it several times, let it touch the bearing slowly. Proof that there isn't much heat.

"Ooh" cheers. The artisanal class, which I suspected earlier, is keeping an eye out. I'm going to let the hopeful touch this later.

Next, Dolph began the task of replacing only the foot area of the carriage with a bearing. This juxtaposes two prepared objects with almost finished replacement. Because it is a lump of know-how, such as adjusting the size and angle of the plate spring.

Still, the audience's eyes became something as serious as ever. Instead of buying a new carriage, we can give the existing carriage the performance shown in the race. It's a better improvement than buying a new car. Even without measure, the carriage guild proved it to me in a way that was no more.

Of course, depending on the carriage, there is a possibility that the axes will not fit or be irreplaceable. At any rate, the size of the bearings cannot be adjusted at present. Though that is also going to gradually improve due to Noel's changed position.

Because it's three days, I will be consulted there at the trade fair after tomorrow.

"I understand the power of that new bearing. But I can't believe it. Apparently that type is important, but how did we prepare such a precision type"

A big man stood up in the audience with his arms around him. He's about fifty years old with the vibe resembling Bogan. Was he the head of the Forge Guild in Wangdu?

"This mould is made of alchemy"

Luetua answered. A big twist ran through the venue. It was added that if Bogan used a mould, it would be difficult to process, and true iron could be processed. In fact, it was given to the blacksmith guild chief questioned by a bearing made of true iron.

Seeing it with an incredible face, the guild chief shook his head when he saw the old man next door, the chariot guild chief with a mushroom and a face.

"Well, sell that mould, craftsman. I'll give you as much money as you want!

The Carriage Guild Leader stood up and twitched.

"I can't do that. It's a consultation. Because the owner of this type is not Nona."

"So, who is it? No, anyone. The right to sell carriages is in the Carriage Guild, and if you say you won't sell them, we'll do the right thing."

The guild leader looks around in a twitch.

"What Bertoldo's workshop does is get tired of repairs around the legs. Incidentally, ownership of the alchemy mold rests with the Vinder Chamber of Commerce. The Chamber of Commerce has granted the right to use that type to the Bertoldo Workshop, under which Bogan and Dolph have jurisdiction under the contract. As a precaution, the Vinder Chamber of Commerce is funded by Grand Duke Bertoldo. Warcraft Knights and the Chamber of Commerce of the Food Guild, including Kenwell, are at the mercy of the workshop contractors."

I stood up and explained. The Carriage Guild Manager blued his face when he saw Luitzer snort.

"The Pegatta Chamber of Commerce under your umbrella in Bertoldo has been very active in this race."

The guild chief shut up completely in Luitzer's words.

"I want to hear the key thing, how much it costs to replace it with a bearing."

A big merchant with a good personality said. Meer slaps me in the ear. The Gold Chamber of Distribution or the big guy.

"Yes. Yeah, the size and shape of the carriage makes a difference in the adjustment time, but it's about two or three pieces of gold."

Dolph answered. Behind me, I heard something to say. When I see it, the Carriage Guild Leader is rolling off the chair. By the way, whenever the mold rings Gachan once, Vinder comes in with silver coins. From the current vinder, it's not a big amount, but unearned income is good. It feels like a saint.

"A carriage contracted by the Grand Duke of Bertoldo to carry metals and timber will favour the order"

Luetua said. For the Chamber of Commerce, it will be able to exchange business at the end of the day. Motivation to get you to come to Bertoldo. And metals and the like, which were often scarce in Bertoldo, become easier to distribute. If more merchants stop by Bertoldo, the economic benefits will be great and the cost of transporting Western produce will drop.

What is more, the range of application of the bearings is extremely wide. Keep going and not just the carriage, but make Bertoldo a major producer of things…. You always told the Grand Duke not to rush too much. Firstly, the expansion of Bertoldo's workshop. If the timber etc. is brought in, I will fill that warehouse of rags now.

I need more than the ingredients for that...... I saw people blurring in the audience.

The merchants are not the only ones who are excited. Obviously, people who are craftsmen, especially young craftsmen, are turning their thanks to Bogan and Dolph for describing them on stage.

The story is that Kurtheit was badly damaged, causing a flow of craftsmen who lost their jobs to the King's Capital. If we had a chance, we'd have a whole country. Unlike modern Earth, where people could even move, it's not even normal to move villages in this world. If nothing happens, you'll spend the rest of your life in the land where you were born.

It's a thousand chances to get a new human being in a society intertwined with geographic bloodlines.

"Those who wish to do so will be tested for an improved carriage owned by our Kenwell and series of chambers of commerce starting tomorrow. If you wish, you can load your bags."

Jean, who appeared, said. In case of malfunction and other troubles, the carriage that has been improved has been transported to the Three Kings Capital. After tomorrow, we'll have a test drive with it.

The color of the merchants' eyes changed. This has two meanings. One is that the Chamber of Commerce of Kenwell and Central Gardens, which is clearly closely connected to the trade fair, is able to get an improved carriage as soon as possible.

If the rival merchants get an improved carriage faster than they do, I see that kind of fear.

"Have you been a little too much?"

I asked Meer.

"It's not a bit. How many orders do you think will come"

Seeing the guild chief no longer relieved, Meer said. Well, we might have to look at the timing and supply them over there and just the parts. Of course, at a price that keeps us competitive.

Merchants on their way home, eagerly discussing the trade fair, which continued to be unusual. I can also see if it's a souvenir to my family or someone holding a 'bamboo' wrap.

Next to them, the First Knights carriage heads to the goal. Horses and people are exhausted. But pathetically, not a single human being pays attention to it.
