The Economics of Prophecy

Ten stories, removed worries.

The neck of Baguild, a dragon who has been roped under his chin like a sinner and dragged down the ground. Sometimes I've had nightmares. The giant jaw exposes an unbroken fang.

It was yesterday that the Black Legion headed for the crusade. I was told that the dragon crusade, which boasts outstanding power among the warcraft, usually takes a week. And zero casualties to the knights of her territory.

It was enough to say that it was not an end to the disaster that had afflicted my hometown for a long time. It was obvious what that meant.

"Thank you, Your Highness, Dagobad."

Reesaberto bowed his head to the seemingly grumpy triumphant prince.

"... the sky can't fly, the braces can't throw up. You can't be proud of discussing weakened dragons. A few horse dragons in a whispering exhalation that can't even be called braces, to the extent that they're out of shape."

Dagobad told me to throw up. I'm talking about waving a spear at the head myself, but I don't have one scratch on my black armor. Even the legions of horse dragons aligned behind the prince see little trace of the battle.

"But no way. It's really interesting how effective this is. How did you develop this kind of poison in a kingdom with little damage from warcraft?"

Mathier said.

"Didn't they say so themselves? The plants that were in the land of the dragon were poisons that worked against the dragon. You're lucky that country is."

"... well, it's the same information that Viral left in the kingdom. But..."

You're not convinced, Mathier thought.

(It was true that he said he would help my hometown...)

Lisaberto thought of the boy's face and felt his heart warm. It was Alfina who allowed me to meet Craig before I returned, but Ricardo was clearly in control of the decision regarding that pollen. Neither did Craig deny that.

"Now it makes sense that even the knights of the inert kingdom were fighting for dragons. Damn, you got me on pointless alert. If I were you, I'd already be in Wang Du..."

"I'm pretty sure I've been made to overestimate the strengths over and over again. But there's another problem when this happens. Something remarkable about how to deal with castle bugs..."

Lisaberto noticed that the conversation between the two was flowing in a disturbing direction.

"Um, now we resume negotiations with the kingdom-"

"Instructor Maitille. We got results for the horse dragon."

A man from the black robe came in as Lisaberto tried to ask about his future relationship with the kingdom. The man slapped something in the ear at Mayteer. The princess nodded dissatisfied.

"Just in case, observe two more days."

To Mathier's instructions, the black robe immediately walked away when he nodded yes.

"How'd it go?"

"Pollen had no effect on horse dragons. That was unexpected."

"Um, what are the pollen results..."

Lisaberto asked Mayteel. Dagobad grinned.

"It's a simple story. I fed the horse dragon the rest of the pollen."

"The horse dragon weighs a tenth of the dragon he defeated this time. The amount I let you consume is one-half, but no, I mixed it with bait and let you consume almost the whole amount, so you should think of it as an equal double. I mean, you'd have given me ten times the weight. Still, it didn't work for the horse dragon."

"Hey, what are you doing that for?

Lisaberto was puzzled. That pollen is a valuable item that can only be obtained from the kingdom. Shouldn't we keep it ready for the next dragon raid? Besides, give that to the horse dragon?

"It's a simple story. Horsedragons and dragons are nearby creatures. If it's poison that works on dragons, it could work on horse dragons."

Mathier said as he told the fool.

"... it may be so"

Lisa Belt felt as heavy as she had drunk lead.

"You're saying that the poison in the kingdom has no effect on my horse dragon. Kuck, I knew Craig's dragon crusade was coming, and I knew that it didn't work for us. Now we have no more worries about invading the kingdom."

Dagobird laughed. Lisaberto blued.

"Oh, no. It was the activity of the demonic vein that went to sedation and even gained the means to counter the greatest warcraft. Don't you need to attack the kingdom?"

"Are you serious? This is why those who have no qualities. With the sedation of the demonic vein, where is the guarantee that it will continue"

"Well, that's... but even more so, it's not dangerous to break our cooperative relationship with the Kingdom"

"If it's ever been that way, yes. But think about it. Even in the kingdom, western warcraft flooding, to that extent called flooding is a laughingstock, but there is an outbreak of demonic veins in the flatlands. There are unusual demonic pulse fluctuations in that country. You may be mistaken, but we didn't create the demonic pulse of the kingdom that sowed the worms. It's in people's hands to manipulate demonic veins. At least not with the current guidance."

"Ah..."

"See? Depending on the fluctuations in the demonic vein, we don't know what the kingdom will look like in the future. What happens if even half of the empire shows up warcraft? Can that indolent country handle that? You won't be able to. That's what they deserve. But then what happens to our country? Needless to say, this demonic vein doesn't always remain very important at that time."

…………

Lisaberto shut up. The peaceful appearance of the kingdom is remembered. How much confusion and damage will there be if the Warcraft damage occurs? When that happens, there is almost no doubt that food exports to the Empire will be interrupted.

"But it's called dragon exorcism, it's called dealing with castle bugs released by our country. Wouldn't the kingdom also have the wisdom to counter warcraft?"

Still, Lisaberto said. It was that boy that came to mind.

"Do we risk the lives of all our people on such possibilities? Ha, then you can try to stop our regiment as well. If I can do that, I'll admit it to the negotiators."

Lisaberto's words were kicked over. She looked at Mathilde as if she were seeking salvation.

"Would His Royal Highness Mathilde think the same?"

"Well, I'm certainly interested in this pollen and in humans who have figured out how to induce castle bugs. Hey, you know Lisa Belt, the pollen finder who doesn't possess any magical qualities."

Mathier said, as if to talk about livestock.

"Yes, no, I come only from His Highness Craig..."

The only thing Leezaberto could do anymore was to hold his mouth.

"Yeah. Viral's report suggests there's a good chance that humans are familiar with the geography of the West. I want Dagovard alive."

"Whatever the princess of prophecy, can she be caught in such a bug? It's better to drop the kingdom and climb the next throne."

"Oh man. Your legion is the only thing that matters fast. Be careful not to bluff."

The two candidates for emperor are having a cold laugh, as they are no longer in sight about Lisaberto or anything else.
