The Economics of Prophecy

Two Stories: First Half Imperial Magic

They sent us halfway to Craig's Knights to Kasel, and we're back in the King's Capital. There are still more than five thousand Imperial armies standing in Kasel. There must be nearly forty horse dragons left, too. Moreover, due to the fall of Kurtheit, the main army of the King has to place emphasis on the East.

It is Craig's view that assembling Western Marquis troops will not be easy to recapture.

The day after I returned to Wang Du and moved to Grand Duke Mansion as planned, I headed with Meer to the College Librarian's office. A new building is built in the backyard near the library. The laboratory Fulsey got for Viscount is under construction. When I saw it before, it was just the first floor frame, but at least the outside seems complete.

I saw a pulla directing something inside through the window. When he noticed us, he had the usual sarcastic grin.

In addition to Fulsey and Noel, the curator's office housed Leonardo Grinisias, the second son of the prime minister seconded about the budget.

There are tons of glassware and pans loaded on the desk. Apparently, Vinaldia and the others worked hard for me while I was at Bertoldo. When I open the box, it contains brown solids. It's what I was asking for from Dalgan.

I'll have to try it first. I said no to Fulsey, put some solids and experimental equipment in a pan, dipped them in water, and hung them in a pan.

"The situation in the eastern part of the kingdom is urgent."

It was Leonardo who opened his mouth first. The Duke of Greenicias is next to Kurtheit. Leonardo says with outrage that the reason Kurtheit fell lightly is that the Eastern Horse Army turned into a Ranger.

When we were giving a briefing on the honey business in Bertoldo, it seems that Zangrich, the Grand Duke of Kurtheit, who was reluctant to march, was slowly headed to the King's Capital after the First Knights retreat.

In the prime minister's view, Zangrich tried to push a direct confrontation with the horse dragon against Craig and Euphilia.

When the Eastern Horsemen finally tried to enter the King's Capital, the Imperial Army stormed Kurtheit across the middle of the Great River, which should have been impossible to cross. He said he quickly dropped Kurtheit, where only the absentee troops are.

As a result, the Eastern Horse Army became a useless Ranger in either battle, East or West. The center of the east was suddenly dropped, and half of the eastern marquis said they rushed back to their territory.

Currently, Zangrich has been stripped of command over the Eastern Horse Army and cautious of the King's capital. Apparently, the remaining Eastern Marquis forces are preparing for the Empire in the Duke of Greenesias territory under the First Knights Commander.

The reason for this is that the Imperial Army stood on Kurtheit with more power than expected.

"The Imperial Corps released a flaming arrow from a short cylinder. The arrows of fire struck down the soldiers on the walls one after the other. You know how unlikely this is!!

What Fulsey said without concealing his excitement was a report of a sorcerer who encountered the fall of Kurtheit on his return from the Oriental Observatory to the Wang Capital. What you can imagine from the story is a classic magic, fireball, that you've often seen in previous life games. I didn't hear there was such magical magic.

They also home to some extent due to the will of the surgeon, a range longer than the arrows that are struck down from above the walls. That was released from hundreds of people. Of course, the army seems to have been many times that, but essentially that attack alone dropped the largest city in the east.

Breaking through the realm of Wyburn sticking out on the Great River would also be to be able to deal with flying opponents with flying tools.

It's like a medieval city was attacked by an army armed with guns. Not very much, but unprotected. And needless to say, it's impossible to attack a fortified city armed with such a flying tool. Apparently, the army of the First Knights, aiming to recapture Kurtheit, returned to Grinisias with the other body.

"The horse dragon is not a big deal, but the magic guide far surpasses our common sense."

Apparently, the real main force was over there. If we had come to the West, we wouldn't have been able to deal with it. Was I lucky to put it that way?

"So far the Empire seems to be focused on consolidating the North, but we don't know when we're going to attack the King's Capital."

Leonardo's expression is blue. If the Imperial Army were to go for the King's Capital, the Duke of Greenicias would be a battlefield.

"I understand the power of the Imperial Enchantment Corps, but in magical theory, how can you say that Enchantment is special?

To define the problem, I asked Fulsey.

"... in a nutshell, it's not a distance. Magic increases the amount of magic required for a snowman ceremony the further away it is. Yet the Empire used witchcraft itself as a flying tool. This isn't supposed to happen."

"Eh, Noel said that if the amount of demon-induced gold increases, there will be an equal number of necessary magic powers, just like that?

"Right. I think that's a good idea."

"You can measure magic from a distance."

"The magic itself before it became magic transmits long distances. For example, for this antenna…"

Fulsey pointed to the proud antenna.

"The magic that senses its magic is activated in the antenna."

Well, it's likely that an equal number of necessary increases relative to distance and capacity are common properties in converting magic into effect.

"Unlike the kingdom, empires produce many demonic crystals, don't they? In addition, you should have stockpiled it in preparation for this war, right? How is it possible that we are realizing the current arrow of flames with an overwhelming amount of demonic crystals?

"The magician returning from the Oriental Observatory is on his way home with an old antenna that no longer needs to be replaced by the new model of Noun. Even the old-fashioned antenna was clearly visible from a distance, so the Imperial Magic Guide uses a lot of magic. Probably nearly ten times the size of the Knights Against Demons. But if you use magic like a flying tool, you probably need more magic."

"I think you need tens of times as much magic as you would if you were to pass magic on a magic guide gold weapon. I hope it fits with our common sense."

Noel supplemented. I can imagine it touching it directly and the energy needed remotely, then, being out of digits.

"The Imperial Magic Guide seems to be far more efficient at converting magic into effect than this one."

Perhaps some kind of breakthrough occurred during the battle against the warcraft on the other side, which will be tough until ten years ago.

"It's likely. But that's not all. Another impossible thing is that dozens of people used the same kind of magic all at once."

Well, even if the crystals of prophecy were special, magic needed qualities that fit their properties. Simply spreading magic into magical gold weapons doesn't mean 10,000 people can do it. Perhaps there is something like a compatibility between the circuit of the magic prop and the circuit that the human has. Reminds me of the unnatural way to hold the horse dragon squad.

"I'm an Imperial Horse Dragon Squad, and they all wrapped their reins around my arms."

It's a dangerous thing to think about. In fact, a small number of Imperial knights have broken their arms after falling horse dragon caught them. And there were tattoos with the same color as the pattern on the armband wrapped around it.

"Are you saying the Empire has the technology to be able to carve a circuit into the human body? Otherwise..."

Would it be an interface in the words of previous life? A power device that simply produces magic power from demonic crystals. Let's think of it as a tool to convert that energy into a magic guide. For example, it's the relationship between appliances and power in a previous life. There are many effects that appliances exert using electricity, but the power supply is commonalized in the form of an outlet. Any appliance, if connected to an outlet, works.

It's probably not that simple when it comes to magic guidance, but surely there should have been a similar mechanism in computer programs for receiving information between programs. It's my hypothesis that all information processing, especially magic, is super-efficient information processing. I don't think the basics are off.

All right, we're getting a little bit figured out.

"In other words, the efficient conversion of magic into magic guidance and the mechanism by which common magic props can be used. So these two are the advantages of the Empire."

"... right"

"... I think so too"

The resulting so-called offensive magic, the realisation of fireballs? Fulsey and Noel nodded after a few thoughts on my definition.

"Dear Great Sage. How can we counter such imperial guidance..."

Leonardo said. Your face is bluer than it was earlier.

"You can't win. No chance of winning at all."

Fulsey said. Alarms and optimism are out of the question situations, but I'd like you to think about your position for a moment and make a statement. The top magician in the kingdom, you've been told recently that he's been a genius since the beginning of the kingdom or something. Even before I came to this room, I had a great reputation for defeating the Horse Dragon Squad.

"Well, then, Grinisias..."

Leonardo turned into a dark face.

"Well, not if it's normal. But there are unusual people here."

Fulsey looked at me.

"I have no magic at all, and I can't use magic."

"You went to the Red Forest to counteract the Imperial guidance. I'm already ready for all this. You can tell me what I'm going to do."

Fulsey grinned when she saw the glassware lined up on the experimental desk. Is it usual that I feel that my curiosity takes precedence over the crisis in the kingdom?

"I'll tell you what, because you never expected the Empire to have a magical flying tool. I just thought if you use magic, you'd have the means to influence it."

I ran for protection. Even though basic research has not yet begun, it cannot be expected to be applied.

"I mean, if you're going to use magic, let's show it against you, even if it's a magic guide. Isn't he the Lord?"

Fulsey said with an increasingly interesting face. Maintenance failure.

"... well, you could say that too"

Recently, I feel that the success rate of safekeeping has fallen. Before I got here, Meer said so stupidly, "How does the odds of being zero go down from the beginning, there's no downside to the odds".

But I want you to wait. Perhaps to my mind, the recent malaise in safekeeping is not due to the Imperial Irregular, except for which it is actually possible that the grades are improving......, vain.

When I get up, I head to the lab.

"There are two things you have to do to counter the Imperial Magic Corps"

I said as I lowered the pan from the top. There are very few things I can do without magic.
