The Economics of Prophecy

9 Stories: Second Half Circuit Measures

"Now let's talk about the information we got from the prisoners. There are a few things I learned from the horse dragon squad I captured."

Craig said without particularly damaging the mood.

"Horse dragon first though. Sounds like a tough creature."

Apparently the horse dragon I captured was badly rammed when I tried to push it into a narrow place. It is very hard to handle if the rider is not in control. It was a story that crossing the Great River to Kurtheit would be difficult.

"We also got some idea about the political situation of the Empire, but let's leave that at this point. I meant the magic I said earlier. I found something interesting from the loads of the Horse Dragon Squad."

Craig put the crystals he removed from his nose on his desk. I snapped my neck. I'm not saying I'm used to seeing it, but it just looks like a demonic crystal. But Fulsey and Noel got a surprised look.

"This is quite..."

"Is something out of the ordinary?

I'll try again, but the transparent look of the red glow. Size. Nothing in particular seems unusual.

"Don't you see? Right, you don't know. I really don't know."

Noel gave it to me. That dialogue doesn't make any sense.

"The strength of the enclosed magic is very different from ordinary demonic crystals."

Fulsey said. When they say that, it looks like some kind of heartfelt red.

"This crystal seems to be something special in the Empire. A lot of the horse dragon squad had was normal stuff, too. As for the example castle hammer, it seems to have been used to move it."

"I see. There was a rumor behind the demon pulse that powerful demonic crystals existed. The Empire must be able to reach the depths of the demonic vein by its magic."

"And they kept it in the kingdom without exporting it."

It's a natural story, if you take it for granted. There's no way we're going to give the best munitions to a country that's going to attack us any minute.

"You've got a lot of deep information."

"Oh, I cut off some arms."

"Whew."

Everyone got a subtle look, not just me. I know that happens because it's war, but it has an impact when you get out of the mouth of this happy prince.

"Don't get me wrong. The tattoo on the prisoner's arm, something to do with that reins. There are those who suffered terribly from the swelling that spreads from it."

Craig laughed invincibly.

"Was there still a price for engraving magic circuits in the human body?"

Fulsey nodded. Is it like a rejection?

"It's not that far if I haven't used it, but I think I need medication regularly. There seems to be a lot of personal difference in the time period you need."

"You want to know a lot about the dye of that tattoo."

I went. Of course, it has something to do with what we're doing right now, but I'm curious about the side effects when we pass the magic.

"Should I have had my amputated arm?... just kidding. The prisoners were transferred to Wangdu this time. Speaking to the Chancellor, some accommodation would be advantageous. Actually, there's been movement in the West, and it looks like Dagobad's successor has arrived. There seems to have been some replenishment of the horse dragon, though. Thanks to this, the enemy's movements began to invigorate"

"I see. You won't be caught up in pollen that easily anymore."

"It's easy for them to be on their guard. Still, speed is really bad. It was good after we had a system in place to monitor Kasel from the three sides, in conjunction with the fortifications of the defensive net that were not dropped in the first ambush"

The Western powers of war were meant to be dealt with, but wouldn't even the Empire stay put? The situation where Wang Du is oppressed from east to west is unchanged.

"I mean, the hero prince says he can't leave the west"

"Right. Naturally, there will be movement to the east as well. That's why I want to expect a true hero."

I want to say who that is. That's a hell of an overestimation. Think of Noel and Fulsey's words when you just saw through my safekeeping. If I were in the original world, I'd be a graduate student. If Fulsey had been born on Earth, at least the university professor would be stiff. Needless to say, Meer. If Noel was in college sync, I guess I would have looked up to her. It's no wonder we're starting a young venture to Craig.

In general, it's true that it's refreshing about magic. Even with one of the demonic crystals from earlier, I don't know what the hell it means to say that magic is strong. For example, in the case of light, there are two types of intensity. If light is considered as a particle, the intensity is determined by both the number of grains and the energy held by a single grain. The latter is visible to the human eye as color. Maybe you two can see it.

"I'm not a hero, so I have two questions. First of all, what about the broken castle hammer? The surface of the broken castle hammer, the metal part, is made of demonic gold, right? It makes a circuit, a magic passage, by digging a ditch there and pouring another metal into the part of the ditch to block magic. Are you sure about this, Noel?"

"Yes, I am."

"The groove hasn't penetrated the magic conductor gold, has it? So, isn't magic flowing under the ditch?

"... magic passes along the surface. To be precise, it flows along the pattern of the surface. You also need holes when processing magic gold in alchemy."

Common sense, Noel told me with a face like that. Speaking of which, I've had doubts about why I need an air hole when making molds for my bearings. Was I to let magic flow inside, not the air?

"The magic gold weapon used by the Knights is also superficial when magic works. We need thickness to flush it regularly, so we can't have it plated."

So if the cross section is in the form of a [concave], then the magic flow becomes […] according to the surface? Air cannot be completely insulated. So put a metal that is hard to pass magic through in the recessed area. I see......

"Uh, the knight on the horse dragon covered the pattern with a reins, didn't he?"

"This would be it. It would have a compatible pattern with the outline."

Surface patterns go hand in hand. There's no contradiction. Refreshing about the principles, but maybe it means we need an interface. In this case the boundaries between air and metal. The air is materially faint. Could it be that we need a vacuum that is not occupied by other substances or something? For example, what happens when you raise the barometric pressure and let magic flow?

I knew there was something out there different from the common sense of the circuit I knew. I've just come up with something different from that. You can say it's a light to counter the magic guide.

"What happens if the rain hits you?

The one I associate with is the fire rope of the fire rope gun.

"I guess it will have a slight impact. But to that extent, I can handle it under the control of the surgeon."

The magic circuit depicts not only geometric patterns, but also characteristic objects, like magic formations. I'm processing information with you. Is it a complicated gate, so to speak?

"Another question about that. What is the human role in using magic circuits, or activating effects?

"Don't be confused about how to answer it because it's too basic. Just connecting demonic crystals to the" magic circuit "doesn't flow magic. What's more, the magic circuit doesn't work if you just flush it."

"Then I knew I wouldn't forgive you for one type."

Suppose the demonic crystal is the battery, and the magic circuit is the electrical circuit. If the electrical circuit connects the battery, the current will at least flow to the conductive part. But you can't say that magic circuits don't have people who can handle magic, like magicians or wizards? Does that mean you need an operator to apply something like voltage? In addition, the operator seems to be consciously operating the gate of the magic circuit. I can't imagine how I could do it remotely, but let's put that away.

Interesting as the nature of magic is the former, but in this case it is the latter that matters.

There's a big difference between what I know and what I know, but there's no doubt that the Magic Brigade is a circuit. A circuit is, in short, a combination of where something flows and where it doesn't. And the Gate, the gateway that controls the flow, processes the information. Whether it is water that flows, current or magic, its fundamentals remain the same.

Efficiency sucks, but we can use waterways and watergates to make computer circuits.

More generally speaking, if we take the view that money flows between people, the economy is the circuit itself. To put it to the extreme, even this meeting we're having right now is a circuit of words (information) that flow between people. Both the company's accounts and the conference conclusions are essentially the result of calculations by the network.

I kind of saw Meer. The pattern of magic circuits that Meer said earlier is mathematics that describes the behavior of a network called graph theory.

Fulsey should mourn that Meer doesn't have enough qualities to use magic than I can't handle magic.

"Senior?"

"Oh, I'm sorry, it's nothing"

Out of line. What we need now is simpler. The circuit has its nature as a circuit. This is more than a circuit, no matter what it is that is flowing. Instead of thinking about doing something about the magic guide, think about doing something about the circuit. I mean...

"If you do something about the magic circuit of the stripped enemy, you can prevent the magic guide."

Although we need to assume that the purification of the magic inhibitors we are doing downstairs will be successful.

"Well, I was wondering if IG-1 could be used as a shield using what it can produce in bulk, but it seems different."

Fulsey roared.

"What is I J One?

"It's a magic inhibitor made under his idea."

Fulsey explained. First of all, we don't have to refine it yet, but it's far more powerful than the conventional stuff, or it's cheaper to produce.

"... is that what you mean by getting countermeasures to the magic guide itself in the red forest? What Ricardo can still imagine...... But wait."

Craig conceived.

"Even when you say peel, the other side has a longer range of attack than a bow, and the aim is accurate, right?

"Right. That's the challenge we need to overcome."

As always, Craig's point makes the most important point in operational terms. From the look of Kurtheit's fall, the enemy's attack magic has a longer and more accurate range than the arrows emitted from above the walls. That's the enemy's big advantage.

This is the bow and that's the fire rope gun. It's like shooting a fire rope through a gun's weakness with a bow. If you can do that, the bow is stronger than the gun in the first place, which usually means you can win even if you fight.

But......

"His Highness Craig. I want you to have one weapon ready. Later, we hope to treat the prisoners humanely."

If the work below succeeds, there is only one condition that needs to be cleared. Let the prisoner be an experimental bench.
