The Economics of Prophecy

Thirteen stories, red stars.

Stars glowed over the chalet in a room that blocked the lights with black curtains. It shines thinly with magic from crushed demonic crystals laid down below by colonies on the medium. The colors are many red, but the colors are diverse, such as blue and yellow.

"The boulder is the red soil of fate, you can expect it."

Even the light, which is very invisible to each bacteria, is so visible by making colonies in density. Still, less than 20% glow over the total number of colonies. When we say red forest, it would mean that many are not seeds that use magic.

No, rather should I be surprised that nearly 20% of bacteria are related to magic?

"Looking forward to it. But if you look at the colors, maybe there's not as many colonies as there are."

"The red looks the same the size of the colony. It could all be the same species."

In the sense of an ecosystem of degraders in a magical environment, this red bacteria may be important. Unfortunately, we cannot afford to do basic research in the circumstances in which we are now placed. All you need is something you can use.

"Won't this light get in the way of measurement?

"I've already made sure. Get away from the demonic crystal and it will disappear. I have more on boulders than I do on pollen."

Lift the chalet from the grain of demonic crystals laid down by Fulsey. The light diminishes as soon as possible. Some colonies seem to lose light in an instant, like they switched off.

The experiment we followed in the bird's body by magically marking the pollen took days to absorb, and the signal was lost in a matter of hours.

"But think about it..."

"What's up?

"No, aren't the ingredients that make this bacterial body, the ingredients of the medium itself, ordinary objects?"

Precisely because of the soil, water and air on the ranch in Dalgan. Maybe there are traces of elements like magic gold in the soil of normal land.

The colored molecules in the organism had metallic objects in the center. Was it red hemoglobin iron or green chlorophyll… magnesium? Those metallic elements don't come from ore. It is very common for objects found in the earth to be absorbed.

"No, it's fine now"

"Then we'll start measuring. I'll see you soon."

Truth be told, the red soil also struggled to determine the culture conditions. In the first place, we can't cultivate without giving magic. No, I make as many colonies as I want to be precise, but I didn't grow a colony that would react to Sensory Demon Paper.

From the prediction that it would take a weak level of magic, I managed to do so by using the Crumb Demon Crystal of the Mucus Warcraft.

What is more, the medium has reduced sugar content. I'm guessing that bacteria that also get energy from magic will at least grow energy from carbohydrates.

Still, culture costs a lot more than black soil. [IG-1] The budget has been further increased by the fact that we have been able to achieve this, but we cannot ignore it given its practical application. As long as the war is over, it will be fine because there will be no massive need.

I mean, I haven't even decided how much profit anyone would take. You're disqualified as a merchant. Meer doing ballistic calculations in the librarian's office would be pissed off if she heard.

Ten chalets line up on sensational demon paper. The procedure is the same as when [IG-1]. The only difference is that the magic irradiation time is short. It's not the simple effect of this assay preventing magic, it's what kind of reaction you get to the magic that's poured.

"Apparently there were two kinds of red colonies."

Fulsey said shifting the chalet. I can see a lot of black dots and a few white dots on the feeling demon paper that greyed out. It seems to correspond to the red colonies present in a dozen percentages, one chalet at a time.

I guess the black dots have bacteria that are absorbing magic. The white dots seem to reinforce the magic poured out of Fulsey's hands in some way. This one's a hit.

"It's not just magic inhibition, it's activation. What's the name of this, as it's good to call it a magic catalyst?

"There are many kinds. Let's do it after it's properly purified. What do you think of this?

What I pointed to was the white dot on the needle earlier. It's really bright white, but small as a spot. Fulsey deepens the wrinkles in her eyes, bringing her face closer or farther away.

"... maybe he's refracting his magic."

"I see."

I mark the corresponding colony by putting the chalet back in. Round colonies are more exuberant than their surroundings. Is the colony like a lens? What principle is that?

"Others,............ don't change this either. This is funny too."

Fulsey licks sensational demon paper but looks at it all the time. We kept looking for treasure because it wasn't us. There are many possibilities for trouble with this culture and extraction, and many candidates are needed.

In the end, a dozen colonies were marked.

"Hmm, even the Demonic Crystal Shards were stuck?

My hand stopped trying to put on the chalet. I saw one light sensation at the end of the Sensory Demon Paper, in a blackish place out of the range where I poured my magic. Explore the bottom of the chalet but nothing.

"Maybe..."

I'll put the chalet on the black part of Sensory Demon Paper again. And when I lifted it, the white dot still appeared. Quite strong.

"It's like night paint..."

It absorbs the magic poured and releases it later. Properties that emit fluorescence after light. I immediately called Fulsey.

"This is interesting again. Mmm, the magic emanating from the colony is shaking slightly."

Moving the chalet over the sensory demon paper in a straight line does ripple the white line.

"This is a candidate, too. It's a real big fish."

I can't fool around with the cost per share because I have to save it in pure form. There was no colony with the same effect, so you can't not not not save it.

We need to calculate storage costs per share later. Given the dangers of contami, more than one preservation per share is mandatory.

"So, which one do you cultivate?"

Fulsey's eyes are poured into a colony with an earlier fluorescence. I know how you feel.

"Given the purpose, I think this is the top priority"

What I pointed to was a minority in the red colony, a colony that reinforces the magic effect. It is significant that both magic inhibitors and magic activators are aligned.

"I see. How long does it take to refine?"

"I need to talk to Vinaldia, too. Whatever. [IG-1] Think about it too well. Is the curator okay with time?

"If I could show you something like this, I'd cooperate with you as much as I can. If I start cultivating today... I just can't free up the day after tomorrow."

"Is it a rare job?

"I have been summoned by the royal palace. Last time I went to the First Knights' squad, Your Majesty told me directly."

I'm afraid there's no penetration of "this isn't work either". And say this to the King's counsel. I'm worried about the old man's retention.

"Thank you for pissing off the king and not cutting the budget."

"Yeah, think it's for each person. Do something on your own. … what happens to prisoners when it comes to empires"

"You say your body is diluting and applying existing magic inhibitors. I understand the concentration that inhibits the magic circuit of the horse dragon rider's arm."

"Are you pretending to use expensive magic inhibitors to treat prisoners?" []/(exp, adj-i) (uk) (uk) (1) (uk) (uk) (uk) (uk) (uk) (uk) (uk) (uk) (uk) "

"You're actually treating me, aren't you? Looks like two prisoners got their arms amputated."

As expected, the red, swollen arm of the horse dragon rider was sedated by [IG-1] ointment. Without even magic flowing, the pattern seems harmless.

By the way, Dagobad, who was present at the treatment, only told me he didn't like it. What would be "no other HR"? He tells me the most thoughtful thing.
