The Economics of Prophecy

7 Stories: First Half Hypothesis

A beautiful princess is asleep in bed with a fairy tale. Glittering blue and silver hair spreading from pillow to sheet, slowly raising and lowering chest. However, the blue and white face and the occasional disturbing breathing make me feel the flaccidity.

In fact, it seems that Alfina was falling on the floor when Luetsua entered between the crystals when she heard the sound. It is decided what brought all that burden to her.

"Finally, you mean the image of the prophecy..."

I pushed my emotions to death and received a piece of paper from Luitzer. They wrote it down before Alfina lost consciousness. The text is good, no matter how much emotion this one rocks, it works for reason. The neat writing probably went out of his way to rewrite it.

Bertoldo, Wangdu, Kurtheit...... Several place names line up. After the word more, there is a line of sentences called east of the river, whether it is a feature of the place or north of the mountain. In addition, fragments of calamity that Alfina would have seen, such as burning cities, scratches on walls, walls safe, etc. The scattered human-like description is painful.

"Master Alfina says the season is spring, or the beginning of summer..."

Luetua added at the end. Six months ahead? I have more time to spare than before......

"What about the prophecy is in the palace?

"The same thing Ricardo has just seen has been delivered to the Chancellor"

Euphilia said. It's a natural measure. In a way, it's strange that I see the importance of the state at the same time as the Chancellor.

The problem is the result. Just the fragmented image it says is not unlike the doom of a nation that is prophesied. What prevails in that situation?

I saw Alfina again. I have a little trouble breathing and sweat on my forehead as well. I saw Euphiria.

"Until I get back in shape, there will be no more in the diocese..."

Euphilia said. I grabbed the note I copied.

I'm just saying that if I get back in shape, I'll have to make it to the crystal. Only for a moment, the idea depends if you were destroying the crystal then. Shake your head and kick out your stupid thoughts. Make the most of the information Alfina has given me and protect both her and what she tried to protect. That's what I can do.

"Anyway, I'm going to the lab"

With the thought of getting my hair pulled back, I tried to head to the door. At least a little sooner, hypothesize and test the prophecy. We just need to get results to convince Alfina that it doesn't have to go to the crystal.

"… is not…"

"Dear Alfina!

I looked back. Claudia, who was beside the bed, rushes to get a wet towel. But Alfina keeps her eyes closed, it's a thin voice out of her painful mouth. He didn't regain consciousness.

"... don't go... no,... Ricardo..."

Alfina shakes her neck left and right as Claudia wipes her forehead sweat. Of course I want to be on your side. My mind whispers that it is better to make sure that my consciousness returns and make sure of the contents of this note. But the contents of this note specify what priority should be given to me. The text is good, even if the emotions are rough, it supports cold judgment unchanged.

If calamity is what I expect, it's important to get information from Mathilde. If you miss today, you'll be free for another two days.

"… is what Alfina seems to have seen"

I explained to Fulsey and Noel as I wrote on the tablet in the curator's office. As you can imagine, Mayteel's cooperation is imperative, but we need to objectively test that imagination first. You can't pass on prophetic information to Maythir without it.

I wanted to move forward with an agreement with the Empire before this happened, but I can't say that right now.

"Dear Alfina..."

"Again, is the burden growing? Besides, this..."

They all clouded their expressions.

"I would like to proceed as quickly as possible with the drafting and validation of the hypothesis in order to reduce the burden on Master Alfina at all. First, both of you, look at this and say what you think."

I went.

"A disaster 400 years ago that I looked into with the princess, [catastrophic disaster], is that what you call it? Don't make me imagine that."

Several place names written on stone slabs, and fragments of the sight of disaster. Look at that, Fulsey said. Noel nodded small too. Yes, it reminds me of a flock of flying dragons that make the city a sea of fire, a record of disaster 400 years old that remains everywhere.

It matches the hypothesis I had in mind.

"It's natural to think so. I don't see the warcraft itself causing disaster by example, so I don't know for sure."

Of course, humans are dragged by what they know. And the members here are sharing information. Before considering the means of verification, decide whether or not to adopt as a hypothesis the possibility of being at the boundary between history and fairy tales.

"How can there be so many dragons as to form a herd..."

Noel raises questions in his frightened voice.

"Um, dragons are supposed to be prominent and superior among warcraft. It's hard to imagine how many of them could exist to cover the entire kingdom."

Though a warcraft, at least half of it is an organism. through the process of being born and growing. I don't know for sure unless I ask Maitille, but when I sickled the Empire about the dragon that came to Mount Tuvire, there was information that there was a young body with feathers.

It's that giant. I can't say a year or two before I'm an adult. And it's just a matter of biomass, or magic, to support it. Even regular large carnivores like lions and tigers need vast areas to feed one.

But that's only if it's based on the dragons of Mount Tuvire.

"Some possibilities are possible. One is that we don't have the same kind of dragon we know."

The pictures that appear to be dragons in the catastrophic record vary. Some were painted to such a size as to cross the city's walls, to such an extent that they were larger than humans, like horse dragons. There is no farthest method or anything, so I can't guess the size at all.

Even if they have the ability to fly, they could be small or medium-sized. Then there's a chance that many dragons will be able to feed with the resources of one dragon that we know.

"It's possible...... Then at least there's no dragon record in the kingdom to back it up."

Fulsey came.

"Another possibility, then, is to say that the cities written here will not be attacked at the same time"

The dragon herd shall have ten medium-sized dragons, for example, to the extent that one city is destroyed. The herd of ten strikes one city after another.

"Um, that's easier to think about. What about past records?"

"If both kingdoms and empires have a record of being attacked by a herd of dragons, there is no guarantee that the herd is one, but at least 400 years ago mankind was not doomed..."

This is also a guess. Although it is dangerous to have a mixed desire to be so. Let's believe we can play that later by verification.

I have one question.

"Doubt?"

"Well, assuming it's a single herd, if it's a herd of dragons, it's going to be one place that could happen."

I saw a map of Fulsey hanging on the wall.

"It's a mountain of blood."

Noel said.

"Hmm. Take a look at the city the princess was told as a prophecy. scattered everywhere in the kingdom. If a dragon thinks it will strike from the mountains of blood, his name will appear in the north of the kingdom or near the demonic ranges between East and West, to the king's capital and south of it. Wouldn't it be hard for a small warcraft to fly that far with a core of demonic crystals just to have?

I see that even the dragon that struck Kurtheit, the closest to the bloodiest mountain range in the country's large city, was able to operate because of the demonic vein that had arisen on Mount Tuvire.

"What are the possibilities of a species specializing in flight capability?

Anyway, it's a dinosaur. It's not strange that it's evolving into something more birdy.

"You can't deny it. I don't even know the fine kind of dragon. It's just not weird if there's something like that that that strikes the kingdom from the mountains of blood."

"Like Mount Tuvire, there can be demonic veins in various parts of the country..."

Noel said.

"Surely something like Mount Tuvire or the demonic vein that fed that crowd of mucus could happen..."

………… …………

We shut up. Again, the lack of information is conscious.

Even a dragon is a guess. Furthermore, if it is the demonic realm of the Blood Mountains, where humans do not step in, there is no guarantee that speculations such as the limits of the number of individuals in the dragon will form.

What I know is that whatever the disaster is, I say there will be massive, widespread damage. If you mispredict, it's going to be a big deal.

"... as things stand, the likelihood of the same disaster happening 400 years ago is paramount."

Two people nodded at my words. Anyway, assume a calamity of scale involving the kingdom and empire as initially thought. Then again, the key people......

"I wonder if my mastery is over."

Back in the lab, we were greeted by Maityle, who sidelined Senior Leonardo. It's a highly political problem. But we don't have a choice. Based on earlier hypotheses, much of the information we need is across the river.
