The Economics of Prophecy

One story. Prophecy of disaster?

Friends are precious. Especially for me, who changed positions and addresses and everything in the short term, they really matter. Today, I was realizing that more than usual.

This is how we have come together once a month since we became the owners of a store that is quite independent of our parents' home in this city. The members are me, Shelley, Vinaldia and Natalie. I'm not here today, but Meer may join me. The venue is carried around, this time in the reception room of our Tritt Chamber of Commerce.

Surrounded by Natalie's brought me Yookan and Sherry's green tea - more jitters and enthusiasts in the past two years, and now a specialty of Central Gardens - we all report back on the latest developments.

This city, arguably the knot between empire and kingdom, comes and goes with tons of information, even if it is left alone. And it's developing with tremendous momentum. What's more, someone's thoughts are generating information.

It's hard to follow. And we are rather at the heart of change. Even though they are all busy participants, I think it is time for a break, not to mention the exchange of information, that there are no absentees at this meeting. I know because I do, too.

If you borrow Shelley's words, it's "a bunch of normal girls". Ordinary girls who have had a lot of unusual experiences. At an age when I'm a little resistant to using the word girl...... no, no, I don't think.

Neither Sherry, who had a weak spot, nor Vinaldia, who didn't hide the animosity of peeling when it first happened, now feels like a calm adult woman. Well, I've been getting experience just not upset about the rough stuff.

Anyway, it's a nice, peaceful atmosphere.

But...... I looked out the window. I saw two men walking into the store.

It seems time to frighten this calm atmosphere. Listening to the footsteps of a servant rushing down the hallway, I stood up.

◇ ◇

"So, what are the requirements for calling us all the way out here?

Arm up, Dulgan said. Pulla sitting next to her also ironically fixes her glasses, demanding an answer quickly with her gaze. I was the one who summoned the two of you suddenly. Though the neighbors, I think they responded better in their busy schedule than we did.

I need to talk to you about something important.

"No way...... Lilka, you can't run away."

Shelley said. I'm not talking about such congratulations. I silenced Shelley's joke. And speak of the requirements that have brought us all here.

"I got a prophecy from Meer.... Vinder's trying to do something big."

The room quieted down to my words.

"Why!! You've been a grown man lately."

Shelly panicked, who had been calm until just now. I was definitely an adult recently, married and had kids... I was here for a moment.

"... a new calamity begins."

Vinaldia said in a sinking voice. By the way, calamity in this case does not mean the calamity of prophecy. It's just a disaster for us, the normal girls. It is also a matter that can rock the boards of commerce for which each is responsible.

"To say it's not in my ear is a magical thing"

It is Natalie who has a relatively calm tone. She stands almost halfway between the Vinder and Pulra Chambers of Commerce.

"What exactly?

said D'Argan. I'm pretending to be calm, but the arms I was putting together earlier are loose.

"Hi, it's like a magic device that makes the temperature in the box winter all year round"

"What is it..."

"Meer says it's an application of the magic wand that sends out that flame."

"Why do flaming canes lower the temperature?

"You can't figure that out if you think about it. I just need to leave that to Meer, Noel and Mayteer. What we need to think about is what happens to our business by it"

I accidentally abandoned Her Royal Highness the Emperor. Even Noel is a nobleman. Seems like the same was true of me in a hurry. Oh, no, they say it's an informal place right away.

"Like you can always eat ice cream?

"I'm glad to hear that, but stop running away from reality"

Celebrate Shelley's words. You know it's not such a sweet story.

"Food shelf life extends…"

Shelley reworded it.

"You're all involved."

"Rather, it's something we should welcome. I can serve ice cream even in the summer.... if you're just a user."

Even as I'm joking with Shelley's words, Prla's temples are attracting me.

"How far are we going?"

"I'm talking about Meer, and she's still a prototype, a prototype number one. He wants us to try it when he can."

"You're saying you can spare a little time." "Yeah." "Wow, that's a bad story."

Everyone loosened their faces just a little bit. But that's still a sweet expectation......

"That's not going to happen. You know what happens in three months. It's like Vinder's thinking about revealing to me."

I said. Even the kingdom is just a dozen years old, and then a few decades old event. We get caught in the center of it.

"... three months later. Your Highness Craig's reign ceremony."

Shelley said in a faint voice. Now at the beginning of June, at the beginning of September, Prince Wang will reign as the new king. It is the birth of a new king who is also very close to us. That is not a bad story in itself.

"I mean, that magic item is a gift to the new king. of the reign formula."

Vinaldia said.

"That's not the end of it, is it?"

"I guess that's what you mean when you tell us to try."

Everyone's face got tougher than it was just now. From a position where you can afford to pre-test a new magic prop, it's a change to an advance who uses it on the big stage of a bump production.

I would have preferred not to discuss it. But there are circumstances in this city and here.

"Sure, because we can't just celebrate either. With His Royal Highness Prince Wang. Well, of course you have some luck. Considering the position of this city."

Plura's words are meaningful. This city is special among kingdoms. It is given various privileges as a base against warcraft. When it was at the forefront of the realm of the Warcraft, I heard no discontent with it. But in the past year or two, disaster has lurked in the shadows, and dealings with the Empire have grown.

A city that makes enormous profits in its free standing, and the wind against us (Central Garden) at its heart, cannot be ignored in the King's Capital. This is information about Jean, who is travelling to Wangdu right now.

"Duty-free privileges are decided by the Predecessor, and the new King's reign will change the system, so we should rethink them."

"Do something unsolicited. No. How hard we struggle... But you need to deal with it."

New cities, and as far as we are concerned, we need to demonstrate the value of that privilege. Vinder says, "When this city crumbles, many people lose money." Know it and bounce the pressure back. For this reason, the reign ceremony of the new king cannot be removed.

When you think calmly, what are we, the merchants, carrying? I unwittingly want to curse the culprit. But......

"... and because he will be the brother-in-law of the new king. There 'll be a lot of things."

"In person, no. Even if the parties don't care much, including the new sire."

Ricardo Vinder, neither a merchant, nor a soldier, nor a nobleman, yet any of them. It carries something bigger than us, and an unprecedented position is dangerous to look at from the edge.

Disaster lurked its shadows, thereby affecting Vinder's position as well. The person concerned would be happy if his powers were reduced, but only politically weakened for the diminished power.

By and large, his own sense of privacy is close to zero. I don't say zero, because I can't even see where I might be weighing myself a little with my wife. Well, that rating, which has finally started sprouting in us lately, blew up today, too.

I'd say I deserved it, but that's not sleeping well on a boulder. And it's not just Vinder, it's Meer and I who get involved...

"Even Master Alfina..."

Shelley said. Of course Meer is a friend of Alfina's. And then Vinder. I saw them all again. No heart or everyone has a blown face.

"I don't know what's coming out without trying to open the box. But we're gonna have to. Do you decide to think this is your chance to make a lot of money as usual?"

"We're more involved than we are in the Central Garden anyway. Then I've never rushed over to get ready."

Me and Shelley and the others nodded at the words of Dalgan and Prla. Reminds me of that time at Shaoxian Festival. Really, why is this happening?

But I never regretted my decision to attend a small meeting in the courtyard at that time. That's why we have no choice. I'll let you swing unchanged for a friend who won't change his position.

"Vinder can't do anything without us. You can't help it."

I said with a smile.
