The Escape of Layla
Lesson 26
Collecting magic equipment at Mr. Charlotte's shop, I was aiming for the headquarters of the Magic Division. The magic equipment in the crate is probably broken because it makes a mess inside. It's hard to fall by mistake.
The crate itself is not very heavy, but it weighed enough to seem to paralyze my arm when I held it all the time. At least, I never had it when I was a Duke's Lady.
If your father or mother sees a sight like this, you're going to faint.
I'm going to grin, tickling, as I carefully carry my magic equipment. I guess it doesn't make sense to tell those parents that I'm much happier now. This fullness that this moment is also at the service of dear friends is something I did not know when I was at the Duke's house.
To the headquarters of the Sorcery Division, it was about a 10 minute walk from the shop to the opposite side of the direction of the mansion, not that far away. It's a neighborhood I haven't visited very often, but one reassures me that the road was apparently right with a large crowd of people dressed in the same jacket Mr. Leanhardt is wearing.
"Ma'am, are you okay? You want me to hold it?
Unexpectedly, he was spoken to by a man wrapped around the magic division's jacket, slightly shivering his shoulders. I look up scared because I was completely out of my mind, but I don't know if I'm offending them.
The man is still a visible young man about 20 years old with a refreshing grin. Mr. Leanhardt's colleagues, even from the fact that he weaves his magic division coat.
It would not be sneaky for you to have it, but it might be smooth if you told me where to carry this package. That's what I thought, and when I nearly opened my mouth, a woman appeared pulling the young man's cheeks harder.
"Hans, you... don't dictate women here. This is your place of work."
The woman, who talks in a ridiculous way, is also a 20-year-old eye-catcher. She also wraps around the Sorcery Division jacket. I don't know what the male/female ratio of the sorcery division is, but I was curious to see if some female sorcerers.
"I'm sorry, ma'am. Lewayne, can I help you with the sorcery division?
The woman grinned and smiled as she pulled the young man known as Hans away from me. The cheeks of young people who continue to be attached to women seem painful, and I accidentally laugh bitterly.
"… I'm Charlotte Bester, and my name is Leila. I was offered to give this to all of you in the sorcery division today, so it's up to you to deliver it."
"Charlotte......? Oh, the division leader's sister. It's your shop! Since when do we have so many cute clerks?
With her cheeks twisted, Mr. Hans glances at me. It sounds pretty painful to watch, but more than that, I couldn't care less about the word "division chief", which was sarcastically flushed.
"... Mr. Leanhardt, are you the division leader?
"Didn't you know I worked for your shop, sister? The division chief is a direct descendant of Lewayne. The Lewaynes have been division leaders for generations."
As the woman said so, she lifted the crate, hitting it out of my hand. When you look up at a woman unexpectedly, she winks lightly.
"You have a receipt, don't you? Follow me."
Thank you, I rush after seeing the woman who walked out before that. Mr. Hans, who had his cheeks twisted, had been released at some point, and he still moaned only a fraction of his strangely reddened cheeks, apparently painful.
I was so pathetic that I almost stopped, but Hans advised me, "Don't follow Gabriella," he said. I followed Mr. Gabriella, the woman of a brilliant magician, in a courtesy of Pepper.
"That's it," he said. Then give this to the division leader's sister. Will you tell her I'm always here for her? "
I was guided indoors to write a receipt. The conditioning and furniture are well maintained, but it feels obnoxious, and I feel strangely elevated by the feeling that it is a room used by a magician. I remembered the close emotion when I first saw Mr. Charlotte's shop. But you're using it now. I smile as calmly as possible and receive the receipt I have just had written.
"I understand. I'll tell you what."
I smashed my receipt into my bag and stared at Mr. Gabriella in front of me. The hairstyle that holds long brown hair together and ties it up high is active and nice. I might try to imitate it too, and when I look at it, Mr. Gabriella inadvertently laughs at me.
"I would be tired of carrying that kind of luggage with that slender arm. Wait, I'll get you something to drink right now."
I rushed to tell Mr. Gabriella behind him, who was leaving the room, whether he had said so or not.
"Um, don't worry"
I don't even know if I heard you, but if you'd like to prepare it, I'd appreciate it. There's a way back, so I've never gone over hydrating.
From the window of the room, all the sorcery divisions who seemed to be training in magic were seen. Dozens or so on a scale? I don't even know what magic they use, but the red, green light is flying across it and it's beautiful. I stare at it unexpectedly. Occasionally, it was more blown away when it hit the light, and there were some occasions when it was kind of harassing.
Second, a familiar brunette young man showed up before all of you entering the training. It's Mr. Leanhardt. Everyone who was training stops hand in hand at the same time and salutes Mr. Leenhardt standing before them. The stories of Mr Hans and Mr Gabriela seemed true.
I didn't know Mr. Leanhardt was division leader.
We've been together for three months and I had no idea. Most of all, I don't know much about Mr. Lenhardt as a magician.
"Hey, sorry. I don't have a decent guy who can make tea, and I brought it in ice in the tea I made and left, okay?
"Ice, is it?
Ice is not what you see in warm seasons like now, although there are occasional vendors who make it in cold winter weather. I stared unexpectedly at the clear chunks floating in the glass cups handed to me.
"Is ice unusual? You'll be able to make it right away with magic."
Mr. Gabriella was looking at me in a way that was heartfelt unexpected. I wondered if I could explain the situation, but I decided to lay low and talk about the details.
"Yes, I'm interrupting this city for a reason, but I'm not familiar with magic because I'm from Altair, the kingdom"
"Heh, aren't you from the Lewayne clan? That's unusual. Even the relatives who married Lewayne came to visit? Or is it someone's 'Destiny Man'?
"Hehe, is that a secret around there?"
"I'm more and more concerned when they say that... But when it comes to secrets, I can't help it. It would be impeccable to reveal it without darkness."
When Mr. Gabriella drank all the iced tea at once, he ate all the ice as it was. I wonder if it's not cold, and if I open my eyes, Mr. Gabriella laughs and stares at me with a crease.
"It's great on a hot day like today. If ice is rare, I guess I've never eaten it either. Why don't you try the little one?
"Well, I will..."
Confused, he mouthed a small piece of ice with tea. The feeling of chewing something hard and cold out with your teeth is fresh and quite interesting. I laughed unexpectedly.
"It's funny, cold tea is delicious, and we had a good experience"
"If you can get me to react like that to this extent, don't make me do something about it. To the extent that it creates ice, I'm sure he'll do it as soon as he asks you, the division leader's sister."
"Really? Well, I think I'll ask you next hot day."
I smile at Mr. Gabriella somewhere nimble, just as he said. It would be time to spare some time. Don't interrupt your work too much.
"Now, if you'll excuse me. Tea and ice, a treat."
"That's okay. Let's get you to the exit. It's pretty complicated in the building."
"I'm sorry from what to what"
"Never mind, it's a lot better than leaving it to Hans."
I walked out the hallway, following Mr. Gabriella a little behind me. All the people going out were wrapped around a blue coat, and I felt a little floating in a colored piece. Every time you get the gaze of a different person, you return an unusual grin. I used to do this a lot when I was a Duke's Lady, but at some point I was long gone.
Talk to Mr. Gabriela from me because it's also what keeps him quiet all the time. Mr. Gabriela was walking pretty slowly to see if he was keeping up with my gait.
"Mr. Gabriella's hair, it's lovely."
"Is this it? Well, maybe you don't have to be depressed on a hot day like today. Lord Leila has straightforward, light-colored hair, so he's refreshing and envious even when he's down."
They can talk to girls, though they can talk to each other in Rin's language. The difference made me kind of smile and want to talk to Mr. Gabriella more.
But when I tried to open my mouth again, there was a bulky sound of paperwork falling behind me, and neither I nor Mr. Gabriela looked back unexpectedly.
Earlier I looked back, Mr. Leanhardt, wrapped in a blue coat, stared at this one with a badly surprised look.
