The Escape of Layla

First part

"... eh"

I had a bad dream. How many times have I had this nightmare over and over again? Wiping the sweat floating on my forehead with my back of my hand, I woke up on the bed and breathed.

By the time a month had passed since I was engaged to Mr. Leanhardt, I was still having nightmares of the night when His Highness stabbed me. Not every day, but if you're a little tired or not feeling well, you often have bad dreams. Ms. Leenhardt said as she embraced me that the wounds on her body were evidence that the wounds on her heart were not healing, even if they were healing.

Slowly get your feet off the bed and set your morning schedule. I think I'm the usual complexion in the mirror, but wonder and Mr. Leanhardt find out that I had nightmares.

It doesn't bother me to wonder if I'll be putting extra worry on him again today. Sleeved through a colored piece, today was the day I made my way to the living room determined to behave in style.

"You had a bad dream today."

When she finished breakfast and was addicted to the herbal tea she had previously bought from Mr. Leenhardt, Mr. Leenhardt shrugged with a worried expression. Even for me, I'm getting pretty used to nightmares, so I'm not going to be dragging on that remnant forever, but Mr. Leenhardt seems to know how I did it.

"You're no match for Mr. Leanhardt...... But yes, it's not enough to worry you every time. I'm pretty used to it these days."

Sometimes time will fix it. When life in the capital of the illusion comes tame, nature and painful memories should also fade away.

"You don't have to get used to such sad things, Layla"

Mr. Leanhardt was staring at me with his sincerely worried eyes. I am so happy with the depth of that compassion that I unwittingly loosen my cheeks.

"Hehe, if you can worry about Mr. Leenhardt that way, having nightmares isn't all bad either"

"Say that again... Leila's too neglected to hurt herself."

Mr. Leanhardt gave a disgruntled look, but eventually looked at me as if he had come up with something.

"... yes, let's talk to Gabriella"

"To Mr. Gabriella?

I think of a friend who suddenly came up on the subject. Gabriella is now one of my dear friends, who talks in a ridiculous way with her long hair together.

"Gabriella is good at the magic of oblivion...... Her house was the home of a princess's own pharmacist during the Age of Migawa. Sedatives were Gabriella's specialty."

"Were you..."

Everyone in the Magic Division seems to be able to use basically any kind of magic, but they still have something called their specialty.

"I'll talk to Gabriella today. I really wish I could... but if additions and subtractions don't work and make you forget everything, it's hard, so I'm not going to use this magic of my hand."

As usual, Mr. Leanhardt said something far-fetched. I guess that means it's so magical, but that seems to make it hard to handle some parts.

"… but if Gabriella seems to have some free time, I'd like to ask you"

It's painful to worry about Mr. Leanhardt forever. It was about getting a little busy getting ready for the wedding from now on, and to be honest, there was a lot of desire to ensure a good quality sleep.

"I think Gabriella would be happy to work on it. Even the sorcery division always asks about Leila. You must be glad to have friends like Leila."

"That makes me feel the same way. I'm so glad to have friends like Gabriella."

Smiling naturally by accident, Mr. Leanhardt also loosened his cheeks as somewhere relieved.

"... I really like the way Leila laughs."

Mr. Leanhardt is sloppy because he has no foretaste and says that with smudge. I took a sip of herbal tea to confuse and delude, so that I wouldn't be enlightened about the redness of my cheeks, so it was the best I could do.

"Miss Leila, I've got what the division chief told me!

The next morning Mr. Gabriella, who had visited the Mansion to replace Mr. Leanhardt, who had gone out to the Magic Division, handed me a small paper bag with a good look somewhere. Fluffy, refreshing notes of tea leaves.

"It's a herbal tea with a sedative effect. With the magic of weak oblivion, you should drink after a bad dream"

Gabriella laughed, narrowing her deep blue eyes, neatly looking up at one of her long hair even today. No way, I didn't expect you to have it ready today yesterday.

"Thank you, Gabriella. Sorry to keep you busy."

"There's no such thing as this. Besides, I didn't know you were having nightmares until the division chief told you yesterday.... That's been hard."

Mr. Gabriella's hand stroked my head with a bump. Its warmth and strange embarrassment, unlike Mr. Leanhardt's, makes my cheeks kind of loose.

"I'm all right now. Every day is so happy, so scary."

"There's nothing to be afraid of. These days are the days Miss Leila should have sent."

I can't believe it's normal these days when someone I love is beside me and I'm bickering with my friends. I wasn't very much in the kingdom, but I couldn't imagine. It's strange because the days I spent in my study on my own every day now seem like something I can't help but miss. I thought I was fine at the time, but to the point where I couldn't stand to go back to those days now, it seemed like I was starting to get used to these happy days one by one.

"Hehe, all of you in the Fantasy King's Capital are good at spoiling me and I'm in trouble"

"Don't be considerate ahead if you're in trouble to this extent. The drowning of the division chief doesn't know where to stay..."

I wonder how the hell Mr. Leanhardt talks about me in the sorcery division. It is quite reasonable for Mr. Gabriela to say this to you.

Sometimes you shouldn't know, I told myself, etc., and misled with an ambiguous grin.

"... That said, what I did was not yet ready to give back. I was thinking about baking some apple pie to thank you..."

I just didn't expect Mr. Gabriella to visit me yesterday today, I wasn't ready. Troubling her head about what to do, Mr. Gabriella inadvertently takes my hand and mouths a refreshing inviting complaint.

"I don't want to thank you, but if you're going to do something for me, why don't you come around and see the capital of the Fantasy King with me? I've always wanted to go out with a poor lady like Miss Leila."

All around me are men, Mr. Gabriella laughed. It's strange because it sounds oddly refreshing when Mr. Gabriella says it, even though it sounds disturbing in some ways. I have never felt so ashamed, though I have received so much praise from the ladies in the kingdom.

"Then I don't know if you're thanking me, but if that's what Mr. Gabriella says. I'd like to explore the city with Gabriella, too."

Neither do I have the experience of looking around the city with friends. When I was in the kingdom, of course, I would get used to life even after coming to the capital of the phantom king, so I had never left the city for fun. I only know the stores that sell necessities and the stores of Mr. Charlotte, but it may be a pleasure to take this opportunity to find different and interesting stores.

"If that's what you decide, why don't we go quickly? Fortunately, the weather is fine today. I have so much to show Miss Leila."

After a brief roundup, Mr. Gabriella makes sure he pulls his hand and jumps out under the blue sky. When I walked side by side with Mr. Leanhardt, my cheeks were unwittingly loosened by the highs of my chest.

"Miss Layla, how about this treat?

"I think this color is perfect for Miss Leila's poor vibe."

"Tell me as soon as you're tired. I have a great place to stay."

Ever since I rolled out to the city with Mr. Gabriella, I had been given embarrassing hospitality by her. I used to be a Duke's Lady, so I was going to get used to having someone do something, but it's never been the case that my real age looks spoiled by friends my age anyway. I'm very pleased with the half side, I'm kind of restless.

"Mr. Gabriella, it's embarrassing to be spoiled like that."

"About this much? I thought the division chief was spoiling it more everywhere..."

"Well, apart from that and this! Besides, I'm not thanking Gabriella for all the hospitality I've had."

"I'm having enough fun, huh? As proud as I want to go around with the sorcery division guys."

Mr. Gabriela smiled uncontrollably as he held a bag containing the sesame items he had bought at the grocery store and elsewhere. She says her work is closed today, so the Sorcery Division's coat is not feather-weaved, and although it stands out as a deep red long skirt in a ruffled shirt, I feel that it's because of its slim length that it's catching people's attention.

"Yeah, why don't we stop by the sorcery division on the way home later? Everyone wanted to see Miss Leila."

"Everyone in the Magic Division?

To the Sorcery Division, he occasionally shows his face with the help of Mr. Charlotte's shop, etc. But that's only about three times if you try that too. Few of you are close enough to remember your face yet.

"Hans would love to see you, too. You should go home with the division chief at last. When Leila finds out she's here to pick you up, the division leader will rise."

"Heh heh heh heh heh."

Though that's what I said in my mouth, I felt like you would just welcome me to say it was my first reunion in years because it was about Mr. Leanhardt. Is it proof that I too am starting to get used to the sweetness of his love a little bit?

"But it's been a long time since I've seen Mr. Hans, and I think I'll sweeten your words and end up interrupting the sorcery division. Of course, at the end of your work."

"Oh, let's do that. Until then, maybe you should play with me a little bit more."

Mr. Gabriela smiled invincibly and offered me his hand to escort him. A woman more like a knight than a magician. Thank God I walk out of the city again with my own hands overlaid in Mr. Gabriella's hands.

Eventually, I bought cookies and pinched them, inviting them to the sweet scent that had drifted from nowhere. The fact that it is a popular cookie in the Fantasy King's Capital smells like aromatic tea and I really liked it.

"Was it in your mouth?

"Yeah, it's so delicious!

"Good for you. I also make cookies from time to time, but this store still has something extraordinary."

Mr. Gabriela wipes his mouth with his fingertips and smiles and shows it. As the expression suggests, she also likes the taste of this cookie.

"Does Mr. Gabriella like to make sweets?

It's her first ear to make cookies. I was just a little surprised that I hadn't shown such a bare gesture before.

"Only cookies can be made somehow. Hans almost eats me."

"You and Mr. Hans are very close."

The two you see in the sorcery division are somewhat amicable while tapping each other lightly. I just don't have that form of friendship, and I try to smile very hard.

"Sounds good when it comes to childhood, but it's just a rotten edge. I just hope you find it in Destiny."

"Hehe, you're not being honest with Mr. Gabriella. Aren't you a very nice childhood trainer"

"I hear everything looks beautiful in Miss Leila's eyes. If Hans asks, he'll be fine, so don't tell me in front of him."

Just kidding. Mr. Gabriella laughs, he gets up and offers me his hand again.

"Before we pick up the division chief, let's just drop by one more house. There's definitely a store I'd like to show you Miss Leila."

"I'd love to hear that."

"You're gonna love this, let's go"

"Yes."

Try to be led into Mr. Gabriella's hands, and I walk out again. A walk with her was such a comfortable time not to make her feel tired in her legs.
