Chapter 587 - 585: Hilia’s Mind Is a Mess
The Divine King did not leave a mark on the divine fragment. The disturbance was due to the vast extent of the Elf Forest.
Taking away the divine fragment that serves as the cornerstone of such a vast polluted area, whether returning it to the Abyss or letting it spread, would cause severe disturbances leading to elemental anomalies in the entire world.
Even a Tier One Mage who has just entered the Ascension God Stairs would likely sense this reaction, let alone the Divine King.
If one wishes not to alarm the Divine King and to keep him from discovering Hilia’s presence, careful planning is imperative.
Rose looked at the divine fragment in front of him, pondering deeply.
A moment later, just then, he suddenly sensed something, his gaze turning cold.
A shadowy figure emerged from outside, entering the small space created by the divine fragment.
He did not notice Rose’s presence and gradually walked towards Ze Lishalin.
Ze Lishalin turned back, looking at the figure, and said indifferently, "What brings you here, sir?"
The shadowy figure chuckled lightly, "Naturally, I’ve come to see how you all are doing."
"I think it would be better for you not to show up."
"Oh?"
"Look at every major operation conducted with your help; has any ever succeeded?"
"Hasn’t any succeeded?" The shadowy figure retorted.
"Last time, did it succeed?"
"Wasn’t it successful? Although there were some issues, the Fire Spirit was indeed nurtured. As I said, I only help you with the preparations and accomplish all the tasks you require. What happens afterward has nothing to do with me. The things you undertake naturally carry great risk, and the probability of success is inherently low."
The shadowy figure looked at the divine fragment before him and asked again, "Do you think it will succeed this time?"
Ze Lishalin remained silent for a moment, shook her head, and replied, "I don’t know."
"See, even you have no confidence. What’s that got to do with me?"
Ze Lishalin paused for a moment and said indifferently, "A few days ago, that girl destroyed our secondary underworld. Lacking a secondary underworld, our success rate will decrease by 30%."
"This... indeed a bit unexpected. I haven’t been paying attention to these matters lately, so I wasn’t aware of this incident." The shadowy figure asked, "Where was the secondary underworld located?"
"Within Ista, the Twilight Cemetery," Ze Lishalin replied indifferently, "You have already gone, but without divine gifts, it’s challenging to rebuild. We located the divine gifts twice, but after that girl left the Twilight Cemetery area, we couldn’t sense the location anymore."
She looked at the shadowy figure and said, "In the past few operations, you directly participated, so... sir, for this operation, please refrain from interfering, and don’t appear casually before the Elf Royal Family."
"Tsk, suit yourself."
"..."
Rose watched the shadowy figure conversing with Ze Lishalin, knowing the true identity of the person hidden in the shadows.
Hilia was unaware; she just sensed a slight change in Rose’s mood.
She listened quietly, but when she heard ’Fire Spirit,’ she couldn’t help but tremble.
"Is that a person from the Tower of Descent?" she asked.
No response.
Sensing Rose’s mood, Hilia didn’t continue to question, just murmured, "I remember seeing atop the volcano, besides the witch from the Tower of Descent, there was a mysterious and powerful mage battling Erina. Could this person be that powerful mage?"
"Hmm." Rose nodded gently in confirmation.
"He helped the Tower of Descent and now appears at the Recovery Temple. What exactly is his identity?" Hilia was deeply puzzled.
Isn’t it said that due to ideological and believer conflicts, different cults usually cease all interactions?
Why would this person appear between two cults...? No, it’s still uncertain if Recovery Temple is considered a cult. Perhaps it’s a branch of the Tower of Descent within the Elf Race?
The more she delved, the more Hilia realized how much she didn’t know.
However, faintly, these matters seemed to be interconnected, but she lacked the key clue, making everything appear hazy and unclear.
Rose didn’t tell Hilia that this shadowy figure was Ashugar.
However, there was another matter Hilia could guess.
"Though I don’t know what ’secondary underworld’ means, I recall when we first entered the Dusk Sect’s base, they mentioned that they call the eerie river with many boatmen in the depths of the Twilight Cemetery ’Nether River Boatman.’
"This almost confirms that Recovery Temple is related to the Dusk Sect. They also mentioned specific location information, ’Twilight Cemetery.’ This Recovery Temple must be a Dusk Sect branch or perhaps a large base seemingly shore-bound!"
Hilia mimicked Encore’s gesture to adjust non-existent glasses, a gleam in her eyes like a detective.
Hilia felt her speculation was mostly accurate. Seeing the intense pollution around her, she conceived a terrifying thought.
"Lord Rose, do you think the pollution impact currently plaguing the Elf Forest is secretly being discharged by Recovery Temple?"
Rose smiled faintly, "That’s possible, but not quite accurate."
"Then what?" Hilia asked curiously.
Rose shook his head slightly, "To know the specifics, we need to enter the source of pollution and see what’s happening inside."
As he spoke, Rose left a ’mental camera’ to continue monitoring Ashugar and Ze Lishalin, to see if they might disclose any key intelligence, and then returned to Hilia, saying:
"Let’s go. Before they return to Recovery Temple, leave here. I’ve already left a mark at the Heart of the Magic Puppet and can sense it at any time. Staying here serves no purpose."
Hilia stood up, looked at the grand Divine Hall in front of her, muttering, "I really want to blow this ’Divine Hall’ up. Damn cults, always bringing calamity to the world."
Rose chuckled lightly, "You’ll have your chance to blow it up later. For now, we can’t move this subspace until we secure the Heart of the Magic Puppet."
"Why?"
"This subspace relies on the Heart of the Magic Puppet’s existence, aiding it in suppressing pollution. As you can see, that mage extracts life elements from the Elf to replenish the Heart of the Magic Puppet."
"Alright then, I’ll spare it for now."
Hilia snorted lightly.
Definitely not because it can’t be blown up now.
Successfully leaving Recovery Temple behind, Hilia glanced back at the fading Divine Hall, shaking her head.
"The Dusk Sect seems to have grander schemes than the Deep Sea Mutual Aid Association. This Recovery Temple appears to aid in controlling pollution through the Heart of the Magic Puppet..."
Hilia’s curiosity piqued, she frequently glanced at Rose, hesitant to speak.

Rose chuckled, "Stop looking; I’m not sure of the situation either right now. Once I’m certain, I’ll tell you. By then, you should figure it out for yourself."
"Alright."
