"Isn’t it because I uprooted your foundations of faith?"

Rose has a dual memory of his actions, the first is as a player completing various task event chains, the second is the substantive memory of various experiences.

With the pantheon, there is certainly a hostile relationship, which is engraved in the underlying logic of the game "Star Fall".

Unless he chooses not to start with the [Star God Curse], abandons all his endeavors, and becomes the Divine King’s lackey, can he peacefully coexist with the pantheon.

Moreover, when ruling the world, once people settle down, they won’t pray to the pantheon like during ongoing wars—only when there’s nothing else to do will they waste time praying.

A peaceful world is not ideal for developing faith; only turmoil and warfare can better absorb faith.

The pantheon is even more reluctant to see magic guide technology develop to the point of threatening them.

Even a victory for religion would simply concentrate the pantheon’s faith onto themselves.

Rose recalled what he had done, thinking that being called the Evil God by the pantheon was only from their perspective; is there another hidden factor?

"Depriving faith is just a surface reason," Ethel said faintly. "The struggle for faith has always existed; Zeus wasn’t the first generation Divine King, nor am I the first generation Sea God. If you only deprived the pantheon’s faith power to fight against Zeus, there would certainly be many who join your camp to oppose Zeus.

"Just like Clax, he was able to overthrow Zeus’s reign as a demigod because we secretly supported and aided him. If not for the trouble with the Star Spirit Tree, Zeus wouldn’t have made a comeback and kicked Clax off."

Ethel stood up, stretched his muscles, preparing to continue his work: "But you, Rose, are different. You became a god in a way unknown to us, without needing authority or gathering faith to condense divine format, nor seeking recognition from the Star Spirit or Earth; you just suddenly became a god and disrupted all of Zeus’s plans."

Rose asked, "What else has Zeus planned?"

Ethel snorted, "You leading atheism across Starfall Continent, depriving the pantheon of faith, you offended all gods, and Zeus was naturally waiting for you to become a god, planning to use the Divine King’s authority to throw you into the Endless Abyss for a while.

"Who knew you didn’t need authority and faith, nor divine format, yet possessed power comparable to Zeus upon becoming a god.

"We do not understand how you became a god, but your actions have created a crisis for us all, as faith is the lifeline of the pantheon. We are unable to deprive divine format, learn from your path, and your aggressive stance of preparing to destroy the pantheon prevents us from secretly supporting your actions as past rebels have done, for we know, in the end, you’ll surely kill us all."

Rose nodded, "Indeed, if nothing unexpected happens, you are all dead. I will use your divine formats to restore the Star Spirit Tree, readjusting the power system and completely abolish the authority and divine format system."

"That’s why you are called the Evil God, the only Evil God, because you walk a completely different divine path from us."

"I see." Rose nodded, then asked, "Then why are you willing to tell me this now?"

Ethel was silent for a moment, then replied faintly, "First, you haven’t killed me, though I don’t know what you intend to do. Second, I sense you have changed from before; though we are in the Divine Domain, we can still observe Starfall Continent through ’the eyes’ and know everything you’ve done."

Ethel showed a puzzled expression: "We completely didn’t understand your behavior logic back then; overall, it was very righteous, yet you would kill without hesitation, even slaughtering all rebels for the so-called liberation of slaves, even if those rebels had greater value than the slaves.

"And all the countless wronged souls slain along your path... such capriciousness, we couldn’t grasp what you were thinking."

Because back then I was the fourth calamity, what the fourth calamity thinks is beyond what you locals can comprehend, Rose pondered.

"Now, with your unparalleled power, your personality has stabilized, no longer capricious and casually manipulating others... oh, remove that part. Rose chuckled, "Dreaming of serving me, don’t bother, I’m just waiting to find the Twelve Main Gods and battle you again, to personally crush you all at once."

Rose watched Ethel’s departing figure, then asked, "I ask you, do you have any method to solve the pollution in the Golden Apple Stone Forest?"

"No."

Ethel didn’t turn back.

This statement wasn’t deceitful.

Rose could feel Ethel wasn’t lying.

After all, with the Divine King’s setup, how could he, a mere minor Main God, possibly fix it?

His situation was already dire; even knowing removing the golden apples would cause the pollution in the Golden Apple Stone Forest to spread outward, he probably wouldn’t be moved.

"After eating crap for so long, this guy is probably used to it; whether the whole world becomes a cesspit or just the Golden Apple Stone Forest, it makes no difference."

In the eyes of the gods, mortals are simply "livestock" providing faith.

Just as humans view pigs, pigs are for providing meat; could they possibly want equal treatment with humans?

Spiritual Power cruised through the array, Rose slowly constructed a solution for the Golden Apple Stone Forest.

"This pollution comes from the Abyss, if left to spread across the world, affected by the cyclical authority of the golden apples, it is likely to cycle through the world like water flow and atmosphere, gradually integrating into the world’s ecosystem. Over time, it will inevitably turn the world into a vast abyss."

"To solve such a massive amount of pollution, there’s probably only one way—"

"Return it to where it came from."

Rose made a plan.

The plan was simple.

Redirect all the pollution from the Golden Apple Stone Forest back into the Abyss.

A bit challenging, but not overly.
