Chapter 24: Take me maiden!!!
"Yes... come to your master."
Ronan’s face was plastered with a wild grin as he spread his arms across the bed, hugging it tightly.
"So soft..."
Ronan muttered.
He then opened his mouth and gently bit into the mattress. After a few moments, however, he suddenly stood up, his eyes widening.
Badum!
His tiny heart began pounding heavily, hammering against his chest as the light settled into his crimson eyes.
He took everything into view.
He was still in the lavish room from yesterday.
He had slept on the large, soft bed...
And had such... vivid dreams.
"Heh..."
Ronan turned around and sat back down on the bed, relaxing his mind as he couldn’t help but think about everything that had led him to this place.
That single step.
That brave decision to kill his master.
Being branded a runaway slave.
Jumping into the human portal.
Now that he thought about it, why hadn’t he encountered the human army when he passed through the portal?
Was it luck?
Honestly, Ronan could say it was.
After all, his most desperate situation had somehow turned out to be incredibly profitable for him.
He had gone from being a quiet and misunderstood creature to creating an entirely new identity out of nowhere.
The Crimson-Eyed Maiden.
Right?
Maybe it was because of the vampire-hybrid bloodline he possessed.
Perhaps, because he was a hybrid, his undead aura was almost nonexistent.
Or maybe it was because he had once been human.
Could it be because of his soul?
"Hah... there’s no point thinking about all this."
Ronan smiled.
What mattered was...
His fingers brushed against the soft bed.
This tiny taste of luxury was something he felt he had already become addicted to.
He wanted this.
And not just for one night.
Not because of the influence of the Duke’s son.
No.
He wanted to own something like this through his own strength.
To achieve that, Ronan would have to walk a path no human or Abyssal creature had ever walked.
He would have to do crazy things.
Kill to become stronger.
Perhaps even betray people.
Was he ready for this?
Ronan clenched his fist.
He was.
After all, neither the humans nor the Abyss would accept him.
He was only alive because of this "Crimson-Eyed Maiden" persona that had been created through a misunderstanding.
Now, Ronan understood just how powerful that misunderstanding was.
And if he wanted to survive and pursue his goals, he had to protect it as much as possible.
Knock! Knock!
Just then, someone knocked on the door.
A somewhat familiar female voice came from outside.
"Maiden... the Young Master is calling for you. He also told me to help you... you... with changing your clothes."
The maid struggled to get the words out.
She couldn’t help but remember the way this beautiful maiden had looked at her.
And now the Young Master had told her to help the maiden change her clothes.
She would get to see her without her usual robes...
The maid’s face grew increasingly red.
Should she refuse?
No...
She was curious too.
"Okay. Tell him I’ll be there soon."
That was what Ronan would have said if he could speak.
But alas, he couldn’t.
With a sigh, remembering that he still had to finish the ritual soon, Ronan walked toward the door and opened it.
Click.
The instant the door opened, Ronan saw the shy maid standing there with her head lowered.
She held a clean set of clothes in her hands.
They weren’t particularly lavish or luxurious.
They were simple enough for a peasant to wear, yet well-made enough to give them a certain uniqueness.
Ronan couldn’t see the entire outfit clearly since it had already been neatly folded.
He simply took it from the shy maid’s hands and walked back into the room.
Meanwhile, the maid’s heart began pounding the moment Ronan took the clothes from her.
What should she do?
Should she help the maiden change?
Should she wait outside until she finished bathing?
Or would the maiden ask her to stay?
Just as the maid’s thoughts began running wild...
Bang!
The door closed.
Ronan had locked it from the inside.
The maid stood there in disbelief.
Inside the room, Ronan spread the clothes out and laid them on the bed.
Only then did his face twitch several times.
What the hell was this?
A beautiful dress embroidered with flowing patterns appeared before him.
Unlike the luxurious clothes worn by the City Lord, Bama, or even Selak, this one looked simple yet elegant at the same time.
It was beautiful.
But...
It was a damn dress.
"Damn it..."
Ronan couldn’t help but wonder if this persona had been a terrible decision.
Would he have to dress like a girl forever?
What the hell?
But then Ronan calmed down.
He was still young.
"As Grandpa Cedric said..."
Ronan thought as he stared at the dress.
"You still have a lot of life ahead of you. Don’t let ’minor inconveniences’ give your young heart a heart attack."
Ronan sighed.
He then picked up the accompanying robe, which would allow him to cover most of his body. Just like before, only his crimson eyes would remain visible.
Ronan knew that he had survived this long because of the Crimson-Eyed Maiden persona.
So, whatever.
It was too late to change it now.
Ronan picked up the clothes and headed toward the bathroom.
Once again, he was amazed by its intricate design.
A moment later, the sound of rushing water echoed throughout the room.
********
Outside.....
"Does she hate me?"
"Did I do something wrong? Was I too conservative?"
"No... What have I done? Does she dislike me now?"
The maid was already losing it, her eyes beginning to water.
Hadn’t she just screwed herself over?
She had actually dared to make the maiden dissatisfied?
"Savanna, what’s wrong with you? It’s just your body... It doesn’t matter. She can have it."
The maid tried to reassure herself, though her body trembled.
She knew that if she didn’t do this, the maiden might become angry and order her death—and perhaps even the deaths of her entire family.
After working in the City Lord’s mansion for so long, Savanna knew just how terrifying nobles could be.
And the Duke’s son?
He was on an entirely different level.
If the maiden gave the command, Savanna felt that Bama wouldn’t hesitate to destroy even fifteen generations of her family just to please her.
Click!
Just then, the door opened, and the maiden stepped out.
The instant she appeared, a delicate floral scent filled the passage.
Savanna was stunned.
What is that incredible scent?
But that wasn’t all.
The moment she saw the maiden in her new dress, Savanna’s heart couldn’t help but skip a beat.
One word immediately filled her mind.
"Beautiful..."
She muttered unconsciously before blushing.
But then she remembered what had happened earlier.
She lowered her head and spoke in a quiet voice.
"Maiden, I’m sorry. I’m just... just shy. You can have me, but..."
Her voice became even quieter.
"Be gentle. I’m still a virgin."
Savanna closed her eyes in embarrassment, her posture seemingly saying, Come and devour me, Maiden!
Ronan raised an eyebrow.
He was completely confused.
What the fuck?
