The Executed Sage Reincarnates as a Lich and Begins a War of Aggression
Episode 67: Sage Knows Where The Secret Stone Is
Two days later, the current location of the secret stone was discovered.
That said, I have not contributed much.
It is the result of the efforts of a clan of elves, beginning with Logan, and of a secret detective led by Luciana.
The first thing that worked was Logan.
He carried out detection using spiritual witchcraft.
The secret stone contains the power of the Great Spirit.
It's hard to cover it up perfectly - no, it's almost impossible.
Whatever magic is, it contains spirit-derived powers, and therefore cannot be hidden from normal sorcery or magic props.
Therefore, I came to the conclusion that Logan, who deals with spiritual magic, can detect it.
However, his power alone has a very narrow sensing range.
No matter how hard I worked, the extent to which I would examine the size of Wang Du was the limit.
This will take too long to find out where the secret stone is.
I can't meet the deadline of three days presented by the Great Spirit.
Or so I couldn't feel the power from the Spirit.
This is a matter of racial aptitude, so it is not even a part of the ingenuity of the procedure that can be managed.
You may be able to master similar techniques if you care about it, but it was still tough in the constraints of three days.
In light of the above, I have decided to play a thorough role in transferring magic to Logan.
He sent only harmless magic to him, careful not to mix his tempers.
This dramatically improved the output of the procedure to extend Logan's sensing range hundreds of times.
He mobilized about a hundred more elves who were good at sensing, and continued his exploration with many rests.
And last night, I finally succeeded in identifying where the secret stone is.
The place is a magical land.
It is quite far from imperial territory.
Nor is it a distance that can be carried at once by magical transfer.
Given the positional relationship, I guess the man who brought up the secret stone crossed the Kingdom of the Demon King and the Holy Wand.
Apparently, the Great Spirit couldn't grasp this foothold.
This is speculative, but it seems to be due to the narrow sensing range and low accuracy of the split.
One factor must have been the excellent cover-up applied to the secret stone.
That pedigree was developed in modern times.
For the Great Spirit it is close to an unknown technique, so it must have been put out of the way.
In the first place, the presence of the Great Spirit is not the first place where precise sensing is required.
Sometimes it was too difficult to navigate because of unfamiliar exploration.
This time, let's say the faults have been exposed.
It was a fortunate story for the nobles.
Anyway, it's quick to talk if you know where the secret stone is.
After that, I left it to Luciana and her subordinate scouts to determine who was involved from the date, time and route of travel.
It was this morning that a report describing the results arrived at me.
It was the nobles belonging to the Empire who brought out the secret stone.
They traveled with their families and escorts to Magic Country, erasing the trail.
According to the undercover detectives, apparently they have been displaced.
Probably not a sudden plan.
I guess I was going through the steps in confidence.
They have abandoned their declining empire.
Maybe the pull-out story went through as well.
The nobles who abandoned the empire said they provided the magical kingdom with a secret stone.
I guess that was the condition for asylum.
I don't know what to use it for, but the secret stone is the only one worth nearly as much.
With the technical skills of the Magic Country, it seems that there are as many means to make use of it as possible.
Once the truth is known, it's not that difficult to construct.
The nobles who swallowed the conditions of asylum first took secret stones out of the ruins in the territory.
They hid in the Imperial City in secret stones and fled before the annihilation of the Imperial City by the Great Spirit took place.
That's how he took refuge in the Magic Country in conjunction with his secret stone offering.
Would this be the case in chronological order?
The overall picture of the plan is simple.
It must be a coincidence that the Great Spirit was escaped from pursuit.
Personally, I wanted him captured before he succeeded in asylum.
Thanks to you, I'm the feather to wipe my ass.
As for this exile nobility, I intend to abduct him and hand him over to the Great Spirit.
I have no sympathy.
And if the wrath of the Great Spirit subsides, it is cheap.
It wasn't even a matter of encouraging reflection and doing something about it.
By the way, there were no emperors among those in exile.
In other words, this clandestine stone theft would have been a leap by some nobles.
The Empire has already vanished, though it was not from the wrapped one.
No one could resist asylum.
This destruction by the Great Spirit is too deadly for the Empire.
We lost the imperial capital, which is the centre, and the new emperor died as well.
It's not the ratio of damage I've caused before.
It has been destroyed without even leaving any possibility of reconstruction.
It would just be impossible for the Empire to bring it back from here.
The vast territory and still viable cities should be absorbed into other countries.
Or it could become an urban state independently.
The sure fact was that the formerly mighty nation would never return.
"How do you feel about finding out about the report?
Luciana asks, even across the throne.
I returned the report and shook my head.
"All I can say is foolishness. It's something I don't even think about right now, like touching the Great Spirit's scales."
It was not an area such as the size of a crime.
It is an insult to being incalculable in human measure.
I know you sought asylum for our spare time, but the price you paid is too great.
My body would have breathed a sigh.
If I hadn't been in the negotiations, the Great Spirit would have been a further disaster and raging.
By now the whole empire could have disappeared from the map.
When it comes to splitting up, the Great Spirit is out of standard.
There is no one among humans who can stop her.
(So why was it the secret stone of the Great Spirit...)
The thought of the exile nobles is very incomprehensible.
Did you not think that sooner or later the Great Spirit would move if you brought up the secret stone?
Was our status and power so important by then?
For them, third parties may not be in the accounts, such as dying of entanglement.
But that's what humans are for.
I will gladly execute the brave and wise who crusaded the Demon King.
The lack of empathy for the idea and mood was not what had just begun.
Humans are inherently foolish.
It can also be described as an irremediable being in a sense.
I was included in it, too, when I became the Demon King in the desire for peace.
"It's imperial territory, but if it's because of you, I'll take it? I think you can have a little bit of that. Wow."
"Right. As soon as this is resolved, push and expand the border."
The return of the secret stones is paramount, but we must also think about the empire that has lost its capital.
The Empire is also adjacent to the Demon King's Land.
You can watch them scatter all over the country, but we can do the same anyway.
I want to continue to develop the demonic kingdom.
Let the Empire feed on it.
First, however, it is an invasion of the Land of Magic.
Whatever the circumstances, the sin that caused the Great Spirit to rage as a result is heavy.
It's a contraindication I can't even see.
We must regain the secret stone as soon as possible.
- The equilibrium of the world was being greatly transformed by the intervention of the Great Spirit.
