"Selena, wait a minute! Don’t go!" Amena shouted again, her face growing more panicked as Selena ignored her calls. "Selena! I’ll explain everything! Selena! Selena..."

Even though she could hear Amena gasping for breath, Selena kept walking out, leaving the room while the Fox servant who was following her stared at her from behind with a look of utter fear.

After all, what Amena had just said was utterly outrageous—and a bit shocking, too.

Did the Beast Kings who had married Selena actually have destined partners? As a Fox servant who had lived her entire life in the world of Eldoria, she had never heard of such a thing. Or perhaps she simply didn’t know anything because she was just a servant?

"Your Majesty, the dining hall is over there," the servant said cautiously as Selena continued walking toward her room.

"I don’t want to see those five insolent kings—just bring my lunch to my room," Selena said curtly, causing the servant to swallow hard and nod obediently.

"Is there anything else you need, Your Majesty? Should we just leave that girl alone? I noticed she seems to know quite a lot. Even though, in truth, commoners in Eldoria without rank or position wouldn’t possess that much knowledge," she replied, plucking up her courage.

Selena mustn’t be left angry for too long; that could become a serious problem for her King, who still desperately needs her. Selena hadn’t touched the poison inside the Fox King’s body at all, yet at any moment it could threaten his life.

"Are there any special bodyguards or gigolos here?" Selena asked with a blank expression, as she entered her room and sat on the edge of the bed, her face still showing her annoyance.

She’d been holding back her frustration for a while now, but to maintain a calm, unintimidated demeanor in front of that annoying Amena, Selena managed to keep it in well.

"Yes, the Wolf King and the Phoenix King have bodyguards who are extremely brutal and are known to torture prisoners. That’s because they both frequently face situations of war and unrest within their groups. Would you like to borrow their bodyguards, Your Majesty? I can go there and convey your request," said the fox servant, her face looking very enthusiastic.

Selena knew why this servant was so eager to help her. They were already aware of her importance, so her feelings and wishes were something that had to be carefully guarded and heeded.

"Ugh, if I ask them for help, won’t it make me look like I need them?" Selena muttered disinterestedly. "I don’t want to owe them anything, especially since they’re all so annoying. I’m only here and sticking it out to heal them because I’m already married to them. If I’d been their fiancée from the start, I would’ve gone far away and let them die!"

The servant swallowed hard and bowed her head as Selena’s irritation flared up again.

Damn it, Selena felt like a complete fool here. If it were true that she was merely a wife used as a Healer for the Kings—who were now her husbands—how infuriating that reality was!

Damn it! Damn it all!

Sighing, Selena fell into a foolish silence. Basically, she could have left—even when she first took over this poor woman’s body, she could have left right then if she’d wanted to. But Selena also realized that her instincts and impulses had changed.

She no longer possessed the instincts of a wife ready to help her husband meet their financial needs, as she had when she was still in the real world. Because here, she had the instincts of an Extinction Healer. To put it simply, it was the instinct of a doctor who sees people in need of care.

In the medical world, a doctor who is sincere and genuinely committed to helping patients would never be able to stand by and watch five people on the brink of death pass away without receiving treatment. The doctor would certainly rush to save them!

And unfortunately, Selena woke up in this poor woman’s body with that very instinct! Perhaps because she, too, had once been a foolish woman who sincerely helped her husband make a living, the Healer of Extinction chose her soul—one so sincere and innocent that she didn’t even consider abandoning them, caring deeply and refusing to let them die.

"It seems I need my own bodyguards," Selena said suddenly. "I want to stand on my own without the names of those five Kings behind me!"

This made the fox servant, who was still waiting for her decision, tense up in surprise.

"What do you mean, Your Majesty?"

Selena was silent for a moment, thinking carefully about her future life. "I’ve made up my mind—I don’t need them or the false love they offer. So, I need one or two personal bodyguards and a personal servant, and they can’t be from among you. Where can I find them? I need people I can command who have no connection to these five Kings," Selena said again with newfound resolve. "Do you know where I can find servants who will swear loyalty to me?"

"There is a training center for bodyguards and servants that has long been run by the Eagle klan, Your Majesty. Since they are the group that handles matters of war and the military, they provide talented beastkin from various types of wild animals found in Eldoria. However, their services are usually quite expensive," said the servant hesitantly.

The Eagle Clan? Dali Hawksen?

Selena was silent for a moment. "Do I have absolutely no possessions at all?"

"Have you forgotten, Your Majesty? You have several valuable items that can be used as currency in the world of Eldoria."

"Really?!"

"Yes, they’re safely stored in your warehouse. It’s a tradition here. Before every marriage, a beastkin woman receives a gift from her future husband. You’ve received gifts from all the husbands you’ve had so far, and all of them are carefully stored in the warehouse located west of the palace," the servant explained.

Selena’s eyes immediately lit up upon hearing this. She sprang to her feet, her annoyed expression vanishing as she approached the fox servant standing before her.

"Take me there! Do you think my wealth is enough to hire, say, three beastkin who’d be willing to serve as my servants and bodyguards?" Selena asked enthusiastically.

She had watched dramas back when she was still in the real world, and Selena quite liked movies featuring royal stories with a queen who had her own servants and personal guards.

Selena no longer expected her husbands to hold power; she had to look out for herself. Only after she had servants and guards she could command herself would she settle things with Amena.

Beating her to death right now, leaving her no chance of survival, wasn’t appealing; it was better for Selena to use a clean and elegant method. After all, she didn’t want to get her own hands dirty either.

This is interesting! At least deciding to come back here has its benefits—those treasures are still hers even though her five husbands were cruel men who nearly forced her to her death!

Never mind that—she’ll pursue her gains first and strengthen herself, and only then will she control them all!

"I don’t know if that’s enough, Your Majesty. I’ve never bought servants and have no idea how much they cost. Maybe we could try it out first?" she suggested politely, making Selena smile broadly and nod.

"Of course—if we don’t try, we’ll never know! Let’s go to the warehouse and bring out all my possessions!"

"Your Majesty, I saw the Queen return from the meeting room with that girl looking upset. Then, a short while later, I saw her heading toward the warehouse to the west. The Queen ordered the fox servant by her side to bring out all her possessions. Do you think the Queen is so angry that she intends to leave, taking all her belongings with her?"

Vylen, Stevan, and Dorven—who had been listening to reports from the servants they’d sent to observe Selena’s actions—immediately panicked and sprang from their chairs upon hearing the latest report.

The three of them left their respective palaces, heading toward the western warehouse. On the way, they ran into Jhon and Stoner, who were doing the same thing after receiving word from a servant that Selena was emptying the entire warehouse containing her possessions.

"We can’t let her leave—we’ve gone to such great lengths to please her and try to get her to forgive us!" Stevan looked panicked at the thought.

"Yeah, damn it! If that girl is the one who offended Selena and made her want to leave the palace, just wait and see how I’m going to tear her to shreds!" Dorven growled angrily, while Vylen clenched his fists.

Stoner and Jhon were also outraged; their anger was plain to see, and they were ready to tear apart the girl who had made Selena angry.

They rushed to the western storeroom, but when they arrived, a guard reported that Selena had already left.

"The Queen took all the boxes containing gems, jewelry, and gold from her storeroom. She left in the horse-drawn carriage in the palace courtyard, accompanied by her servant, the Fox, who had been with her ever since yesterday," said the guard, causing them to start panicking.

"Quick, check her room! Did she take all her clothes with her?" ordered Stevan, his face a picture of panic.

"Yes, Your Majesty!" The Dragon servant who was there immediately rushed off.

"Why did you let her go?! You should have stopped her! After all, we weren’t the ones who made her angry!" Jhon shouted angrily at the guard, who immediately bowed his head in defeat.

"Damn it, where is that woman who made her angry?! I’ll tear her to pieces!" Dorven snapped, sharp claws beginning to emerge from his hands.

"The Fox Guards took her to the cell next to the Old Fox King’s cell, Your Majesty," replied the servant who had accidentally witnessed the incident earlier.

"Drag her before me! I’ll crush her body!"

"Yes—"

"We’ll worry about that later! We have to find Selena first! Maybe she hasn’t gone far! We have to chase after her and convince her to come back," said Vylen, thinking more rationally.

"That makes sense," replied Stoner, staring toward the gate. "We have to go now! No matter what it takes, don’t let her get away."

"Get the carriages ready—we have to find the Queen and convince her to come back!"

They were all panicking, scrambling to climb into their respective horse-drawn carriages.

Selena, the woman they’d hurt and nearly killed, had left them in a fit of anger!

For God’s sake, please prevent all of that from happening!
