Chapter 2687: How About We Discuss It?

"At midnight, a squad of at least twenty from the Barbarian Tribe passed by. They seem to be looking for you."

Carson Flores finished his recuperation and heard Delarosa’s warning.

Carson frowned, a squad of twenty people?

"It seems the news of our hunting here has been leaked by those who escaped. They want to eliminate us first..."

Carson sighed, "Looks like we’ll need to change our strategy. We should find other Demon Race squads to ally with, otherwise, even if we encounter a squad, we might not be able to succeed and could risk being taken down instead."

Although the possibility isn’t high, we cannot take a gamble, right?

If we win the bet, it’s fine. But if we lose, we might lose our lives.

The next day, Carson and two others headed east.

Since being targeted by a large group, staying in the central area isn’t suitable anymore.

The three walked for an hour before encountering their first squad.

Carson scanned them warily, then breathed a sigh of relief.

Demon Race!

Samir Coffey glanced at the opponents’ attire and whispered, "Thunder Marsh Sect, ranks in the top three among competing sects."

Meanwhile, the squad from Thunder Marsh Sect also spotted the three and approached them.

Among them, a tall and imposing man initiated a conversation, "Friends from Illusory Snake Sect, why are there only three of you?"

Samir Coffey replied, "We were delayed on the way and couldn’t catch up to meet with the disciples from our sect. Where are you heading?"

The man responded, "Just wandering around to see if we can find the Barbarian Tribe. Did you encounter any Barbarian Tribe squads on your way here?"

Samir Coffey pointed towards the central area, "Last night, there was a squad of about twenty from the Barbarian Tribe patrolling in the central area. If you’re heading that way, be careful."

The man’s face grew serious, "A squad of over twenty?"

Samir Coffey nodded, "Yes, but I’m not sure if they’re still there now."

The man looked slightly puzzled, "You discovered them, but they didn’t find you?"

Samir Coffey laughed, "We were hiding."

The man suddenly understood, then thoughtfully said, "Would you three like to join us for now? With more people, it’s safer to travel together."

Carson suddenly spoke, "Would you like to hunt that Barbarian Tribe squad?"

The man looked at Carson in surprise, "Didn’t you say they were twenty strong? We’re only thirteen; that might be difficult, no?"

Carson quickly scanned the area and noticed that the projection on their tags was activated. Knowing they were under everyone’s attention, he said, "They were probably searching for us last night. With their large numbers, I didn’t engage them. But if we join forces with you, it should be enough for a fight."

The man sized Carson up and down, "What is your cultivation level?"

Carson replied, "Lower Grade Land Immortal."

The man hadn’t spoken yet when someone in the crowd sneered, "Are you joking? A Lower Grade Land Immortal talking about joining forces with us, so confident. Are you suggesting we fight while you hang around the edges, and then you take credit after we’ve fought?"

Someone nearby chimed in with a teasing tone, "I can’t beat ten, but if I join forces with a Quasi-Saint, victory guaranteed!"

Carson glanced at the speaker, calmly asking, "How many tags have you secured already?"

The leader frowned, "Only one, because we prioritized gathering, we haven’t had the chance to launch an attack yet... Even if your three join us, we only have sixteen. Since the opposing twenty are from the same sect, they must be from a strong, numerous sect to gather twenty so quickly. We might not be able to take them down."

The leader’s words were cautious, but he meant they couldn’t manage it. Going with fewer people against more wasn’t wise.

Carson remained silent and directly pulled out tags from the Space Ring.

One!

Two!

Three!

...

The disciples from Thunder Marsh Sect initially looked disdainful, but as one black tag after another was drawn out, their expressions gradually changed.

From scorn to doubt, to shock, and finally disbelief. All these shifts took only a few seconds.

Eight black tags lined up, startling every disciple from Thunder Marsh Sect.

Three people?

In a day’s time, secured eight tags?

How did they accomplish that?

Snatching tags isn’t easy; you must be stronger than the other party, faster, and guard against their possible escape treasures or skills. Only when all these factors align can you seize the opponent’s tags.

In such a short period, they managed to grab so many tags. What does this indicate?

These three are no ordinary individuals!

The leader, after his initial shock, smiled and cupped his hands, his tone becoming much more polite.

"Fellow, you just mentioned wanting to hunt that Barbarian Tribe squad. Do you have a plan? How about we discuss it?"
