"Go find out where the biggest, best, and most expensive restaurant here is," Yang Ruxin instructed Chai Qin as they walked.
Soon, Chai Qin returned, saying it was Taibai Building.
Taibai Building? Yang Ruxin frowned. Is it the same one as in the county? She waved her hand, "Let’s go try it."
When Yang Ruxin entered Taibai Building, it was around 10:30 in the morning, not quite lunch time, so there weren’t many people there. They directly asked for a private room on the second floor.
"Just bring us your best specialty eight dishes and one soup," Chai Qin tossed over a silver ingot, "If it’s not enough, we’ll settle up after the meal."
The waiter had seen many wealthy families, but never anyone so straightforward. He quickly accepted the silver and went out.
Since there weren’t many customers for the moment, the kitchen worked quickly.
The eight dishes and one soup were served in no time.
If there was any doubt before, now Yang Ruxin was sure. Taibai Building was indeed a chain, because the decor and signature dishes were similar, even the taste was the same.
Since Yang Ruxin wasn’t particular about etiquette, everyone was quite relaxed in the absence of others.
The three of them ate heartily around the table full of dishes.
"This crispy chicken is really delicious, can we pack a portion?" Chai Qin requested.
Yang Ruxin nodded, "Pack two portions." They could take them back for Gu Qingheng to try.
Chai Qin cheerfully ran out.
"I’ve noticed that ever since you started working with her, this girl has changed her temperament. Where’s the aloofness from before?" Yang Ruxin watched Chai Qin’s back as she went out, then turned to Yang Xiong.
Yang Xiong was drinking a bowl of soup and nearly choked to death, turning his head to cough for a while before calming down, "Madam, could you stop saying such shocking things?"
"I always like to speak the truth," Yang Ruxin shrugged innocently.
Yang Xiong could only silently continue drinking his soup. Anyway, no one has ever won against Madam in a verbal spar, and with his clumsy tongue, he shouldn’t even try, or there wouldn’t be a scrap left of him.
"Alright, you eat slowly, I’m going to the restroom," Yang Ruxin wiped her hands and stood up.
Yang Xiong stood up as well.
"I’m just going to the restroom, no need to follow," Yang Ruxin waved her hand and went out.
Yang Xiong didn’t insist, after all, Madam is quite capable, and no one can do anything to her for the time being. Besides, she has Xiaolun with her.
As Yang Ruxin came out of the restroom, she washed her hands in the basin at the door, and began walking back. But as she reached the door of her room, she heard low voices speaking Japanese from the room at the end of the hallway. She immediately turned and walked towards it, finding the adjacent room empty, and slipped inside.
In the room, Chai Qin had been back for a while but hadn’t seen Madam return. She became anxious and got up to look for her, but just as she reached the door, she ran into Yang Ruxin coming in. She couldn’t help but smile, "Madam, where have you been? You gave me a scare."
"Can’t I take a dump?"
Cough, cough! Yang Xiong choked on his tea once again.
Chai Qin’s mouth twitched as well. Sure, why not?
"Yang Xiong, you stay," Yang Ruxin ignored their embarrassment, considering what she had just overheard, "Investigate this restaurant’s background, don’t alert them."
Yang Xiong and Chai Qin were a bit taken aback, but Yang Xiong quickly cupped his fists, "Yes."
