The First Immortal of Destiny

Before long, Shen Mo successfully caught up with the Silver-haired Child and the other two.

In the previous journey, to explore and test dangers, out of the ten Class IV Demon Soul Generals, only three remained, and the Green-skinned Ghost Tieshan was also covered in scars.

But it was not a big problem; the soul marks of those seven Demon Soul Generals on the flag were still intact and had not truly perished. As for the Green-skinned Ghost, as long as the Soul Refining Flag was retrieved and some mana was spent to reunify it, it could be restored to its original state!

"The Imperial Souls under your command are really useful, fellow daoist!"

"However, this blood flag is quite sinister and should be an evil dao magical treasure. You, fellow daoist, should use it with caution to avoid being countered by it." Qin Zhen directly conveyed this reminder to Shen Mo through her original voice.

Shen Mo nodded with a smile, not refuting, for Qin Zhen’s intentions were good.

The Silver-haired Child and Kang Haoxiu then inquired about Shen Mo’s gains in the bitter sea.

Shen Mo naturally wouldn’t display the two lower-grade spiritual treasures, the Drunken Immortal Pot and the exquisite hairpin obtained from the Disciple of the Immortal. He only took out a few spiritual items salvaged from the bitter sea and gifted Silver-haired Child, Kang Haoxiu, and Qin Zhen two items each.

This unexpected gain left the three traveling companions both surprised and overjoyed, thanking him repeatedly.

According to their prior agreement, the treasures Shen Mo collected on his own did not need to be shared;

however, the Silver-haired Child and the others gained nothing in the bitter sea, while he profited significantly, which was bound to cause them frustration and dissatisfaction, impacting future cooperation!

The cost of a few spiritual items was insignificant compared to Shen Mo’s gains, yet it greatly dispelled any grudges between them, making it worthwhile;

should anyone still envy or resent his gains and covertly sabotage the journey later, Shen Mo would not tolerate it and would ensure they paid the price with interest.

After reuniting, the four of them ventured further into the depths of the Immortal Mansion, surrounded by treacherous perils, for more than a month.

Finally.

After jointly fighting off several Class V great demon monsters and passing through a demon nest, they reached the core area of the Immortal Mansion!

What unfolded before them was an astonishing, fantastical scene...

The ground ahead seemed as though it had been shattered, revealing an endless and terrifying abyss stretching far beyond, with an unimaginably vast surface area, and Shen Mo and the others, with their suppressed sense, could not discern the farthest shore.

At the bottom of the abyss seemed a land of absolute desolation and silence, filled with dense spatial rifts, with dark red magma bubbling and churning, while fierce abyssal winds swept up torrents of magma, raining down like fire from the sky!

Above the abyss were layers upon layers of terrain and mountains stripped away, revealing a chaotic panorama.

Countless spirit stone veins and deposits of gold and iron floated in mid-air, twisted and undulating like vines, and seemingly unending.

Chunks of rock and terrain also floated above, layered and staggered, with the largest piece of rock more vast than the territories of the Red Flame Country in the Primordial Realm, covered with mountains, deserts, rivers, forests, grasslands, swamps, and waterfalls, teeming with flying birds and beasts, and traces of demons and monsters were also visible.

Occasional remnants of formations and man-made structures, likely ancient cultivator relics, were scattered everywhere, with bursts of spirit light flashing by from time to time.

Here, it seemed as though the space had been fragmented and chaotically layered over again;

only in this way could such a magnificent, bizarre, and disordered spectacle be achieved!

Besides chaotic disarray, there was a sight connecting all these chaotic scenes which one could not ignore...a towering giant tree resembling a mountain.

The immortal tree clearly had long since withered, devoid of life, turned into a material resembling rock spirit gold over countless years of erosion, with its bark glinting with the luster of gold and iron, its roots firmly anchored deep in the abyssal magma, with even the spatial rifts unable to harm its branches in the slightest.

The tree grew all the way upward, piercing through spirit vein deposits, rock layers, mountain chains, drifting clouds, until it reached the Ninth Heaven above.

Atop its dry, jagged crown, it cradled a Bright Moon, where exquisite pavilions and palatial halls could faintly be seen, and mysterious immortal light dazzling gloriously, clearly the dwelling of the Immortal!

Though Shen Mo and his companions were accustomed to grander sights, their words remained full of praise as they beheld this extraordinary spectacle before them.

"The True Immortal who created this cave paradise probably lived atop the Bright Moon. If any celestial treasures were left behind, they would likely be in the Bright Moon Palace!" The Silver-haired Child gazed at the Bright Moon atop the tree crown with eyes full of longing and desire.

"Fulong, fellow daoist, you’re still unwilling to disclose what the owner of the Immortal Mansion has left behind?" Shen Mo squinted, a hint of inquiry on his face as he tightly fixed his gaze on the Silver-haired Child and asked.

It’s hard to believe that the Silver-haired Child had no clue about the so-called "Immortal’s treasure."

If Immortal Master Cizi hadn’t obtained concrete information, six thousand years ago, why would Fulong Immortal Master and several Formless Realm experts risk entering the Immortal Mansion Dungeon to the point of losing their lives!

While they hadn’t reached the core of the Immortal Mansion previously, the Silver-haired Child’s concealment could be excused.

But now, they had only found the remains of his previous life as Fulong Immortal Master without retrieving his belongings, and the remnants of Immortal Master Cizi and others were even more elusive, most likely having perished in the Bright Moon Palace;

Even the outsider who took Fulong Immortal Master’s Storage Bracelet and Five Dragon Divine Chariot might have entered the Celestial Palace and died within it.

Under such circumstances, to think they’d retrace their steps and exit the Immortal Mansion Dungeon, not one of them would agree... The Silver-haired Child’s continued concealment naturally made Shen Mo less than cordial!

As Shen Mo’s words ended, Kang Haoxiu and Puppet Yama subtly edged closer, forming a character-like formation to block the Silver-haired Child’s path.

If the Silver-haired Child did not give them a satisfactory explanation, their camaraderie from the journey would come to an end!

The Silver-haired Child’s youthful face bore a bitter smile, and after a moment of silence, he spoke, "Not to hide anything from you, fellow daoists, the old man only knows vaguely about the treasures within the Celestial Palace. The scroll recording detailed clues was on Ciji, and its whereabouts are now unknown!"

"If I remember correctly, within the Bright Moon Palace, there should be three treasures, an Immortal Pill, a magic treasure, and a cultivation method..."

It turned out that Immortal Master Cizi had somehow obtained a celestial scroll many years ago.

On the scroll, besides the unfinished portrait of the True Immortal whose features were unclear, there was also a soul mark left by a later visitor who likely explored the Immortal’s Cave and possibly reached the Bright Moon Palace and retreated due to insufficient strength.

He left the celestial scroll in hopes that future descendants or disciples inheriting his mantle could enter the Immortal Mansion and retrieve the celestial treasures he witnessed but could not obtain!

Using the clues left on the scroll, Immortal Master Cizi found the Wind Flame Mountain gateway to the Immortal Mansion and with the residual soul mark on the scroll convinced Fulong Immortal Master and others to venture into the Immortal Mansion to seek treasures.
