Chapter 78: A Presumptuous Question
As she asked, Angie’s beautiful eyes were filled with hope.
Anna’s strange illness didn’t just torture her, leaving her in constant agony; it also mired Angie in a state of perpetual anxiety, making it impossible for her to lead a normal life.
They had spent all their family’s money trying to find a cure, which led to their parents’ divorce. Afterward, their parents abandoned them, leaving the two sisters to fend for themselves.
After leaving home, whenever her sister had an episode, they were met with all sorts of nasty remarks no matter where they went.
On top of that, they had to deal with bullies with ill intentions and the countless hardships of daily life. The two sisters were in dire straits, their suffering so immense they wished for death.
Seeing that Chenyang could describe her sister’s condition in such thorough detail without even having performed a diagnosis, Angie felt an instinctual rush of hope. ’If he knows this much about the illness,’ she thought, ’he must have a way to cure it.’
Filled with hope, she not only gripped Chenyang’s hand tightly, but she also pressed herself so close she was nearly in his arms.
Her short breaths, carrying an intoxicating scent, washed over Chenyang’s face.
And with every breath she took, her firm, ample chest brushed against him, tantalizing his every nerve.
The petite and adorable Anna was at his side, while the mature and alluring Angie was right in front of him.
Everywhere he looked, he either saw the swell of Angie’s breasts, threatening to spill from her low-cut top, or the secret territory partially hidden beneath Anna’s pleated skirt.
The sensual sights, combined with the soft flesh he could feel with the slightest movement, fanned the flames of lust that were already burning within Chenyang, making him feel even more restless and agitated.
The thought that they were identical twin sisters—one mature, one innocent—made him unable to resist the urge to pull them both into his embrace and ravish them.
The flames of desire began to consume Chenyang’s reason.
As his gaze grew more feverish, he almost forgot that Angie was still waiting for his answer.
"Chen... Chenyang?"
"Huh?"
"Why aren’t you saying anything? Don’t tell me you can’t cure my sister’s illness either?" Seeing him remain silent for so long, the hope on Angie’s face began to fade, her voice tinged with a deep sense of helplessness.
Seeing her beautifully pitiable expression, Chenyang felt something stir in his heart. He took a deep breath, forcibly suppressed his lust, and answered with solemn conviction, "No, I have a way to cure your sister’s illness!"
Angie’s eyes lit up. "Really?"
"Of course. No one would joke about something like this. It’s just..."
"Just what?"
"The treatment is very difficult, and it will take a long time. Also... you might find my methods hard to accept."
"As long as you can cure Anna, I’ll accept any method."
"Even if it means your sister has to strip completely naked and let my hands touch every part of her body?"
"Huh?" Angie was stunned. "I can understand needing to remove clothing for treatment, but... does every part of her have to be touched?"
Chenyang held up his hands. "Saying ’every part’ is an exaggeration, but I will indeed need to touch many places."
"I’ve never heard of a treatment like that before."
"That’s because you’ve only seen Western doctors, right? You’ve hardly seen any traditional Chinese medicine practitioners, have you?"
"Yes." Angie nodded. "Are you a practitioner of traditional Chinese medicine?"
Chenyang didn’t hide the truth. "I am. Specifically, I practice Daoist medicine, which is a rather obscure school within traditional Chinese medicine. My methods mostly involve acupuncture, Tui Na massage, and yin-yang balancing techniques. No matter which method I use, it requires close physical contact with the patient."
Angie thought for a moment, a blush creeping onto her cheeks. "I know what acupuncture is, and I’ve seen Tui Na massage on TV... but what is ’yin-yang balancing’?"
"It’s... that."
"Huh...? That can cure illnesses?"
"Yes. In fact, when combined with Daoist spiritual techniques, the therapeutic effects of... that... are far greater than acupuncture or massage. It can eradicate the root cause of the illness much more thoroughly."
"So if you’re going to treat my sister, does that mean... you and my sister would have to do... that?"
"Your sister doesn’t need that at the moment. Although her condition is progressing quickly, a combination of acupuncture, massage, and herbal medicine should be able to clear up most of it. Whether she’ll need further treatment will depend on how much she recovers after this initial course. Of course, I can’t give you a definitive answer until I’ve properly diagnosed her."
"Then please, diagnose her first."
Angie had never heard of sex having medicinal properties, but from Chenyang’s expression, he didn’t seem to be lying or just trying to take advantage of the situation.
Still, this was no small matter. Unable to make a decision right away, she figured she’d take things one step at a time.
Chenyang nodded slightly. He first gently moved Anna’s fair, slender legs off his shoulder, then placed his fingers on her wrist.
After taking her pulse on both wrists, Chenyang’s brow gradually furrowed.
"How is it? Is it more serious than you thought?"
"The neurological aspect of her condition is about what I expected. It can probably be treated without resorting to yin-yang balancing. But... her psychological issues are far more severe than I imagined."
As he spoke, Chenyang gave Angie a peculiar look. "Can I ask a rather forward question?"
"Go ahead."
"When your sister was younger, during her formative years, did she experience some kind of major trauma? And was this trauma related to a man... for instance, did a man molest her, or even forcefully... take advantage of her?"
