Chapter 80: Explosive Chat Content
Chenyang asked, dumbfounded, "You want me to be your sister’s boyfriend?"
Angie nodded very seriously. "Because of my sister’s illness, our relatives have grown distant and our friends have shunned us over the years. Forget finding someone to pretend to be her boyfriend—it’s been hard enough just to find an ordinary person who can help me handle her.
Besides, the boyfriend persona I created for my sister is actually a lot like you. My sister is the lively type. She might look cute, but she’s really fiery on the inside, like a little chili pepper. The older generation always says it’s best to find someone with a complementary personality when you’re dating or getting married.
And my sister has a thing for tall, handsome guys, so the boyfriend I created for her is someone just like you: tall and handsome, but also honest, kind, and straightforward."
Chenyang raised an eyebrow. "You’re not just saying all these nice things to sweet-talk me because you can’t find anyone else, are you?"
"No!"
Angie took out her phone, switched to a different number, found her chat history with Anna, and placed it in front of Chenyang. "If you don’t believe me, look. The description I gave her, and the photos I sent, they really do match you."
"You sent her photos?"
"Mhm, I found them online. But don’t worry, I Photoshopped all the pictures I sent. They all show someone either wearing sunglasses or a mask, so she can’t see the specific facial features. You don’t have to worry about her being disappointed when she sees you in person."
Looking a little dazed, Chenyang took the phone and started to look through it.
The section she had pulled up was mostly from when the fake boyfriend and Anna first started talking and introducing themselves.
There were photos, but not many, and just as Angie had said, they all featured blurry facial features, mainly showing the person’s build.
As for the descriptions, they were also exactly as Angie had said.
Even some of the personality details seemed to have been modeled directly after Chenyang.
This made him frown. "You didn’t see me somewhere long ago and use me as the prototype for him, did you?"
Angie gave a wry smile. "If I had known you earlier, my sister’s illness would have been cured long ago. Why would I need to spend my days feeling like I have a split personality, sometimes playing the sister, sometimes playing the boyfriend?"
Chenyang nodded. "But this... isn’t it a bit sudden?"
"It is a bit sudden, but I’m out of ideas. Besides, pretending to be her boyfriend is just a part of her treatment. Think of it like acupuncture or medicine. The only difference is, you’re the medicine."
"Tsk, you must be in sales. With a pitch like that, I can’t find a single hole in your logic."
"I actually did work in sales before."
"And now?"
"A little while ago, I became a nurse at the hospital with Sister Qin’s help."
Hearing this, Chenyang’s eyes couldn’t help but drift back to Angie.
’He couldn’t help but fantasize about what a sexy and alluring sight her voluptuous figure would be in a nurse’s uniform.’
Angie didn’t notice the strange look in his eyes and said in a pleading tone, "I really don’t have any other options. Could you just... take pity on us sisters, please?"
Chenyang was torn for a moment. "I can try to help you. Obviously, it’d be best if it works. But if it fails, or if something goes wrong, I’m not..."
"Don’t worry. I won’t blame you no matter what happens."
"Since you put it that way, I’ll give it a try."
’From Chenyang’s perspective, being Angie’s boyfriend or being a couple with Anna were both appealing prospects.’
’The twin sisters each had their own unique charm, and both were absolutely stunning.’
’Having either one of them would make a guy’s life pretty sweet.’
’But pretending to be a fake boyfriend felt incredibly awkward.’
’Then again, Angie had a point. The pretense was for the sake of treatment, and Chenyang’s lifelong dream had always been to become a doctor and heal all sorts of patients.’
’Since their goals aligned, the process didn’t matter so much after all.’
"To ensure a higher success rate, I need to see your entire chat history with her."
"Of course. I’ll give you this account in a bit. For now, you can just look on my phone."
Taking the phone Angie handed him, Chenyang began to read through it meticulously.
The early conversations were pretty normal. They read like the story of a shy boy pursuing a fiery beauty online.
The two of them also had some things in common. For instance, neither of them dared to face reality head-on. The boy, because he was shy and timid; the girl, though bold, felt insecure because of her illness.
And their personalities were truly complementary.
As the two of them chatted more and more, the way they addressed each other gradually changed, and the topics they discussed grew bolder as well.
No, it went beyond just being bold.
Later on, the conversations could only be described as sensational and graphic.
Chenyang scrolled past many selfies from Anna. At first, she was in her underwear, but the later ones were pretty much all nudes.
And the boyfriend Angie was impersonating had sent photos showing off his pecs; there were even two pictures of... what was down below.
But to be honest, the guy in the photos couldn’t compare to Chenyang. Not by a long shot.
