The "important matter" Liu Yun mentioned referred to recommending Chenyang for a doctor position at the hospital.
After speaking with Chenyang yesterday, her original plan was to have him go through the standard hiring process. She figured that once his medical skills were recognized by the leadership during an internship, she could then use her authority to help him secure a permanent position.
That way, she wouldn’t be violating any regulations, nor would she leave herself open to criticism.
However, when she got home that evening and casually mulled over the matter, she suddenly had a change of heart.
For one thing, after a few hours, she found that the condition Chenyang had treated had improved dramatically.
Furthermore, just as she was getting ready for bed, Qin Fei’Er had made a special call, asking her to take extra care of Chenyang.
In all their years of friendship, Qin Fei’Er had rarely taken the initiative to ask her for help.
She hadn’t even asked for help back when her family had fallen on hard times and she was living a miserable life with her widowed mother.
For her to make a special request now on behalf of Chenyang meant Liu Yun couldn’t possibly refuse.
