Chapter 1414 - 920: World Host Project

Kana was contemplating a question.

When he had once communicated with the world will, his Spirit was, compared to that will, as tiny as a grain of sand, fundamentally incapable of bearing its vastness.

Thus, for every communication, he would plan everything in advance, and in the brief instant when he used the Stone of Creation to establish a Spirit link, he would dump the information he had carefully prepared in one burst toward the world will.

In the initial stage, the process of constructing such information was extremely troublesome and fraught with risk.

Because during communication he was entirely Passive, able only to wait for the world’s "behavior" as response, Kana had to achieve perfection beforehand; the information had to be absolutely precise and free of error.

Otherwise, it would be just like those historical cases where Humans recklessly used the Stone of Creation—issuing vague, ambiguous target directives and letting the world will develop things at random.

Yet the problem lay in this: the will of a world is not truly a living entity with independent thought and emotional preference; it resembles more a dim, uncomprehending instinct.

If decision-making power is handed over to it entirely, what one ultimately obtains is often nothing more than a clumsy reproduction of existing templates from the Star Realm.

Just as Kana had once criticized: the world will will mechanically extract Race templates matching the conditions from Star Realm information and crudely graft them onto its own world.

This is also why their world possesses such a profusion of intelligent Races that appear Chaotic, yet, miraculously, does not thereby collapse into destruction.

In essence, everyone can be roughly divided into two great camps: Humans and non-Humans.

Humans and the demi-human species they created, such as Elf, Dwarf, and the like.

They generally possess high intellect and have, from ancient times to the present, firmly occupied the dominant position.

Whereas those native non-human Races, although they also possess a certain degree of intelligence, have always remained at relatively low ecological tiers.

This seemingly unbalanced configuration, in a certain sense, instead maintains the Fragile equilibrium and development of the world.

Later, as Kana ascended to Legendary status, his spiritual will became somewhat more Resilient, allowing him to engage in brief, bidirectional exchanges.

Yet each exchange still came accompanied by immense mental pressure, like advancing headlong into a gale.

Until now, when he has become a God, only then has he finally been able, relatively "at will," to roam through the world sea.

Only then has Kana truly been able to delve deeply into understanding the composition of the world sea and the essence of the world will.

Previously, during his exchanges in the Titan World, Kana had already attempted to probe that ultimate question: "What, in truth, is the will of a world?"

And the answer he obtained at that time was: multiple and diverse, impossible to generalize.

Each and every world is a unique existence; once its will awakens, even if only in a preliminary fashion, what form it will ultimately evolve into is something no being can answer with certainty.

Not even a God, not even a Great Divine Power from Legend, can foresee it.

This seems to be determined by some very fundamental underlying logic of the Star Realm itself.

The entire Star Realm is, in and of itself, a product of the eternal interweaving of Chaos and Order.

On the surface, the Power of Order appears omnipresent and ascendant.

Yet upon closer observation one discovers that the Power of Chaos is equally rooted into every aspect of the Star Realm, eternally existent, impossible to eradicate.

The two are mutually dependent, mutually transformative.

Even within the heartland of Chaos—the Abyss.

You can still glimpse the application of Order within.

For instance, though the layers of the Abyss are interconnected and utterly Chaotic, they nonetheless remain layers, their number relatively fixed.

For instance, although Demons are the very emblem of Chaos, there is, broadly speaking, a classificatory system within their species.

For instance, in the development of strength, Demons likewise obey distinctions of Power tiers; they do not descend into such Chaos that their might rises and falls unpredictably without pattern.

By the same logic, even in the Titan World, that paradigm of Order, the Power of Chaos has not vanished.

Fortune and misfortune inherently contain the essence of Chaos, for they arise from randomness.

A world is born out of nothingness; the very existence of a world is itself a manifestation of Order.

Correspondingly, within the world itself, currents of Chaos are ceaselessly surging.

The form of its will is precisely an embodiment of this complexity.

This is a Domain of existence that not even the will of the Star Realm itself will forcibly interfere with.

Thus, what a given world will’s ultimate evolution will look like is indeed something no one can know in advance.

Although Kana does not dare be one hundred percent certain, he harbors a vague conjecture in his heart: the Titan Divine King may well be the ultimate embodiment of the Titan World’s will.

Perhaps tens of millions of years ago, when the Titan World first suffered a world-ending catastrophe from a Void incursion.

At that time, the Titan World’s will, too, was engaged in a desperate act of self-rescue.

In that self-rescue, it chose a unique path: to have its will be born directly within the world, existing in the form of a world individual.

In the end, this will-individual led the world out of the Shadow of annihilation and, in itself, ascended into godhood.

It allowed the original, vague, instinctual world will to shed its skin and become an independent entity, possessing autonomous thought and emotional preference—the Titan Divine King.

Of course, this is merely Kana’s conjecture based on available clues.

Within the Star Realm there are still countless forms of world will that have already been observed and recorded.

For example, there exists a certain mighty hive-mind world whose entire hive-mind主体 is itself the world’s will.

This world is highly integrated with the Life forms that dwell upon its surface, forming a unified, vast eco-civilizational community.

The will of the world is precisely its primary consciousness, the core of its existence.
