The God Slaying Hero and the Seven Covenants

Lesson 10: Three on a day without such a battle.

Not so much to say raw, but I look up into the sky hiding myself in trees lined up enough to say forest.

The sky is clear. A blue sky in white clouds, a shining sun and a cold wind stroking your cheeks. Watching the sky that way while holding yourself tight with that wind... it might be about three hours. I don't have the clock on hand, so it's the time I measured from the movement of the sun, but I don't think there will be any discrepancies.

"Four...?

"No. I'm a little smaller than I've ever been, so that's the fifth one."

"Really? But it's the same as earlier and some of the wings are missing"

"Mm."

"... well distinguished, you guys."

Counting the number of griffins flying in the sky, he was stunned from Ermenhilde. No, I'm not playing. Finding out the exact number of Griffins that will eventually be crusaded is one of the important tasks.

Hide yourself in the trees so that you can hold a small mululu in your chest and weave your coat (cape) from above to overwhelm the cold. See how Griffin behaves while ensuring his body temperature that way.

The griffin of the Elflame continent nests green mountains, but the only mountain near the commercial city (Merdiole) is Bald Mountain (Hanyama), a short distance away. Of course, very little green, as the name suggests.

When that happens, you're likely to be living a different life from the ecology and behavior that I or Mululu know. Instead, we should act differently in order to act on unfamiliar land. This is how I've been observing Griffin's behavior in the morning to find out.

Nothing, Mululu didn't treat me like I was bored with chess even when I was in the inn. This is my job, too. Really, I get paid too.

"Easy. What I'm flying right now is missing wings... and the newly increased griffin has a slightly higher chirp than the other griffins"

"Right."

"... I understand that the sight and hearing of beasts are superior to that of humans, but I think the range is usually amazing."

"I'm used to it, I'm used to it"

Besides, discerning a demon of the same kind is very important in adventuring. It's a completely different way to tell people to "take down that goblin" when they're partying with one another than to say "take down that scratchy goblin on that face" with a trait in their mouth. An eye or ear that instantly spots its traits is very important to the adventurer.

That's how you observe Mululu and Griffin, while you make one stretch.

If this is the case, you should have seen Ami and Faerona in a cage in the room... well, something similar over there? Instead, I recall this is how you make Griffin's observations because it's hard not to move your body.

By the way, Chess' skill is Ami in the first place of immobility, followed by Faerona, me and Solnea. The situation is that it is not strange for me to be pulled out by Solnea any time. I recall Ami saying that Faerona and Solnea are good to swallow. Thinking about it, I guess I swallow very poorly. I remember being told the same thing about the sword, so it's me, but I still think that the younger kids and newcomers will outrun me.

I was going to get used to it already, but just getting used to it and regretting or sad doesn't seem to change the complexity of everything.

So I'm afraid that I'm going to compete with Solnea, who's going to improve to one step, and I work for the Adventurer Guild. I feel sorry for myself and I'm going to get a sigh of relief.

And then Fayrona was still lighter and better than me. I think that's a bigger part of it than getting used to it. It is the frontier of giving up.

"It's big, it's not coming."

"Hey."

I've been waiting all morning, but the normal Griffin doesn't show up even if he shows up. I'd like to see it the most.

There is no clear difference between Griffin and Arc Griffin. It's not that much of a change in appearance because it's the same race. It's just that I grew up and my body grew about twice. If you want to put it into words.

Griffin is about three or four meters long. This is as big as the lion we call it in our world is a little bigger than one turn. Because of its large wing length, it looks bigger than its body, but it is about that size. Still, it's bigger than humans.

By contrast, is Arc Griffin about five to seven meters long? I don't know how much time the existence we call Griffin lives, but it's called Arc Griffin who lived longer than that Griffin and reached the limit of growth. I think the name difference is very vague. However, there is a clear difference in its ability.

Griffin only has the ability to use what the subordinates who use spiritual witchcraft call the "curse of arrow removal", or to disrupt witchcraft by squeaking. But Arc Griffin can also cause sickles and tornadoes. If we limit ourselves to the wind, we can say that we can use magic equal to or greater than the best magicians in the world.

"Has Mululu ever hunted an arc griffin?

"Yeah. Because your father's in danger, no. I'm an adult now, but I'm a child, so I can't."

"Right."

'Cause your body's small.'

"It's gonna get bigger soon"

I think it's childish that Ermenhilde is getting mucky with a word, but I'll keep quiet that I shouldn't say that.

"It's good. It means they take care of you."

"I don't want you to treat me like a child anymore"

"I don't think you're treating me like a child. I think you're just worried about Mululu."

"... the range, on your father's side?

"Hmm... I can't tell you anything because I don't even know who you are"

However, I think I know how Mululu's father feels. It's never actually happened, but I'm sure you care about Mululu.

I'm sure you're very worried that you're going to be traveling alone with Mululu on a divine mission from the Spirit God (Zeneria). Hearing this story reminds me that the first time I met him, there was no sentence. Mululu said the road bank was stolen from someone who was called out. I'm glad it was just money. Because the heartless take their lives and even their lives.

That makes me wonder because the plush in my arms seems so important. I wonder if this plush will take away, and that will only tighten my chest. Long ago, Ami and Soichi Da - the same feelings I had for my children. Like kindness, like not. I don't even know myself very well, but I feel like taking care of it.

"What's wrong?

"Ainya. I know exactly how Mululu's father feels."

Smuggling on ships or being fooled by people. I don't care.

"Range, too, treat me like a child?

"I'm not treating you like a child, I'm worried."

"Right. I think Elmen Hilde is right, Mulu."

"Yeah."

I don't seem convinced by that one word, some obstinate voice. I think these places are childish, but maybe I was like this when I was about the same age as Mululu, too.

When I loosened my mouth so as not to be noticed, Mululu, the beast man, noticed me and gently grabbed (and attached) my arm. It feels a little itchy rather than painful, and this makes me laugh and shake my shoulders again.

"Hmm."

"Because this is how angry I get, I'm a child."

"That's not true"

Now he grabs his right arm harder than he did earlier.

"Ouch. Ouch."

"It's hurting"

If you look at the sky as you fit, now a bird woman (Harpy) appears in the sky. Is he about the same height as Mululu or a bit taller? Birds in the lower body and hairy mannequins in the upper body. Both arms are winged, with no mouth (beak) and fangs growing in the mouth. Overall, it is covered in light orange hair.

When you think that harpy jumped up from around the foot (foot) of Bald Mountain, it immediately plummeted. Looking ahead, a few goblins on the move.

I thought I'd plummet toward the prey and hit it, and Griffin, who was in the air earlier than that, assaults that harpy. Harpy can't even stand a small body to storm from a body that has more than three meters, and is blown to roll through the air just by hitting his body. It's not precious, but it's Griffin's hunting moment.

"I knew it would happen."

"What's up, Range?

"No. I thought Griffin was showing up and the demons were changing their behavior."

"Right."

Goblins attack livestock and humans, eat wild grass and fill their bellies. Harpy attacks such goblins and humans to fill his belly. That's the kind of ecosystem that was able to do, and suddenly there's a griffin that eats goblins, harpies, and humans, and the way the demons hunt is changing. More than that, neither Goblin nor Harpy have been able to act in fear of Griffin. When that happens, even if Griffin is flying through the sky like he is now, he can't stand hunger and shows up for his prey. And then Griffin attacks me there.

Now, one Griffin wins. In this case, one wins?

If you let it go, won't there be more griffins in no time? And when the number of goblins and harpies drops, they'll start attacking humans this time. Unfortunately, there is a commercial city (Merdiole) right next door. I don't see how few people can fight enough to be destroyed by Griffin alone on a boulder, but it's obvious that there will be considerable damage.

Five now, but Griffin's breeding season is spring. In a few more months, it will be more than double what it is now. Griffin is like a bird in our world, laying multiple eggs in one spawn. It's not like it's multiplying.

Mululu, don't move.

"Yeah."

The distance is away, but Griffin, who is protected by the Wind Spirit (Silf), is sensitive to the movement of the wind. There are some ways to fight it backwards, but Mululu and I are a little tough to deal with. Even if we fight here, it will be Othi who calls in the other Griffins.

Wrap your body in a jacket (cape) and watch Griffin prey on the harpy from that gap. Look again, it's a big one. There may be depictions of fantasy stuff comics and novels that make this my ride, but from me, I don't think I'm going to teach this stuff. Meat is the staple, and it's fierce. I'm on my back, and I wonder when I can eat.

Griffin's big mouth (beak) is very powerful and can easily be chewed off a thousand times, such as a person's arm. That's the same with Harpy, whose thin neck and arms are easily chopped and swallowed whole. And when he finished eating leaving only his guts, he was satisfied or flew away. Its remaining guts were goblins eaten and in the end all that remained was a blood build-up. When you do that in front of you, it can seem like a dinosaur movie or something, but it is a (neat) reality. At the next moment, I can't laugh because I could be in the same position as Harpy.

I've come across a sudden, brutal scene, but around the slightest inability to move my mind when I see it, I decide to wonder if I've grown up too. And Mululu, who is only about half my age, knows the cruelty of this world around watching the blood build-up that's left without any particular fear. Even so, I have known so much about six months since I came to this world that I don't like such things.

"Well, don't be discouraged to fight that."

"Ranges always do"

"Right."

"You're still close, you guys"

Lately, I'm going to be motivated there. Is that it? Was your first impression too bad?

With that in mind, I pay my coat (cape) to get up. Anyway, it's going to be hard to see Arch Griffin today. I can't even see the Griffins flying in the sky anymore, so I think it's time to go home.

Because I had been in the same position for a long time, my physical savings hurt.

"Back?"

"Oh. Anything you want to do?

"Yeah."

With that said, Mululu stands up to jump. I am impressed by the fact that it is mild enough to look at it again and again.

"Has Range ever hunted Griffin?

"Unique."

Griffin naturally inhabits the Elflame and Arbenelm continents. I don't like people flying in the sky, but I'm not the one I can avoid because I don't like them.

Well, magicians like Ami and Kotaro used to deal with him, not with someone I could defeat by myself. It's flying, so if you drop a thunder, it's one shot. The power of a lightning strike...... I don't know if I can say power, but the voltage generated during a lightning strike is about a billion volts. The time from occurrence to direct strike is one microsecond. Does the temperature of the atmosphere reach twenty or thirty thousand degrees locally? There's no way I can avoid that, and there's no way there's a life form that can live with a direct hit... There was a time when I thought... Well, dragons and ghosts usually survive.... Whatever the Ghost is, is the dragon really a mystery as to whether it can be classified as a life form or not.

"Can you take it down by yourself?

"I don't think so."

"How can you answer instantly there..."

"I'm an honest man. I don't like lying."

"Which Mouth Are You Saying"

Shoulder to shoulder at Elmenhilde's groaning voice, he walks out toward Merdiole.

Then Mululu lines up next to me as I walk with Tokotoko. Goblin, who lives around here. I don't think it's easy to walk big because Harpy isn't walking out much in fear of Griffin. Still, it's like we're sending the problem forward.

"I'm hungry"

"It's noon."

By the time we return to Merdiole, it will be past noon. With that in mind, remove the dry bread from the small bags that were hanging from the belt. It's an emergency meal for when something happens.

"Want some?

"Yeah."

Saw Griffin's meal scene in front of us, but we're the same. Next door, Mululu ate the dry bread, which seemed delicious, so I decided to take out the dried meat as well.

I wonder if I should be cautious that I behave badly while walking, but I would be guilty of the same crime because I do the same thing. If Ami gets angry with me, we'll get angry together. It feels like my coat (cape) is pulled when I'm walking somewhat like that. When I dropped my gaze, Mululu was looking up at me.

"Fran and I don't travel anymore?

"Right. Well, she's just a student. I'll be studying at school again from now on."

"Damn it?

"Men and women as old as Muru and Miss Francesca study in the cities of magic (Orphan) and commerce (Merdiole)."

"... study"

"It's important, study."

"Yes."

And a sunken voice.

Is it still hard to break up for us to get along? I'm in the same city now, but what happens when I get on a boat? Well, even though parting is a regular part of the journey, it must be hard for you to be about the age of Mululu.

I'm gonna miss you.

"Right."

Mululu groans and I agree with that. It's true that I miss you. About six months. That's all we've been traveling together, lonely.

I just wonder if I can spare you a goodbye because you're lonely.

I'm an adventurer. City to city, village to cave. People traveling in different places. I have a meeting, so I have a goodbye. There's a farewell, so there's a reunion. It's time (when) and where (where) we break up to rejoice in an unexpected reunion.

When I mumbled that, I was gently slapped by Mululu.

"What if"

"Hmm?"

"If Fran says he wants to travel with you, will Range take you?

"I don't know what to do. If that's what Miss Francesca meant, think about it."

Well, even if that's what you mean. The journey ahead is life-threatening. Unlike the continent of Imnesia, the continent of Elflame is a tough land for humans. It's not an easy place to take them because you're used to traveling a little bit. outside the Arbenelm continent, etc.

Well, I'm not even going to take the mulls to that continent. Real life on the line. If I could, even Ami wouldn't want to take me.

"... yes"

"Don't force me, okay?

"I won't. I don't even ask..."

"But?"

"Nothing"

After all, you still want to travel with me. I'm just a little kid, and I know very well that I want to be with friends who have made corners. But there's nothing I can do about all this. If you can't do it and let Miss Francesca get hurt, Mululu will get hurt too.

Just get hurt. Danger accompanies the journey. From now on, demons become more powerful. Me, Fayrona, Mululu, I'm all I can do to protect myself. Ami also has limits to protecting Solnea and Miss Francesca at the same time. She is a magician who is good at high-range attacks and not at protecting anyone. At that time, when Miss Francesca asks if she can protect herself... I am hesitant to shake my neck vertically.

"Don't look so stinky. We're going back. If you looked like that, you'd be worried by everyone else, wouldn't you?

"Yeah."

Put your hands on your head in a low position and stroke him to tap gently. There is no resistance, but it can be stroked. In the past, Ami and Soichi got better.

"Range, I want to eat that too"

"Oh, look. Eat this and cheer up."

If you also give them dried meat to eat, they munch and eat munchies.

When you're hungry, you're headed for the wrong side of your mind. It will be hard to get full with just emergency food, but hopefully it will cheer you up a little bit. If this guy stinks, he's going crazy. Is that because I'm sweet on children?

It's like feeding a child.

"Don't be rude, Hermenhilde"

"I'm not a child"

Such a return to a word that the air of Ermenhilde cannot read has no power whatsoever. Oh, this is serious.

Returning to the inn, a carriage that I remember seeing somewhere at the entrance was stopped.

Check it sideways, split up with Mululu and enter the men's room, no one is there. Faerona must be referring to chess in the women's room. That makes me feel lonely somehow. I don't know, this alienation.

"Hey, Ermenhilde"

"What's up, Range"

Throw your jacket (cape) to bed and lower your hips, somewhat lonely and speaking to Elmen Hilde.

"Do you, too, miss Miss Francesca?

'Right. If you say you miss me, you miss me, and if you say you don't, you don't'

"What the hell, man?"

'... I mean, I'm with you the whole time'

"He's embarrassed."

'Really?

When I finished removing the gear and calmed down, uh, a severe sigh of relief leaked.

I'm not lonely. If you cross the Elflame continent, you'll be breaking up with Faerona and Mululu. I'm ready to say goodbye to my people.

However, I was a little tired of realizing that I was used to breaking up with the fact that I wasn't as emotionally strong as I think I miss Mululu. I remember when I broke up with Mr. Utano in Wang capital. Six months or a year. Maybe it'll be longer, or it'll be a lifetime goodbye. Still, we broke up lightly, and this is how we embarked on our journey. What did he think of the matter?

Next time I get a chance, shall I ask? Well, when I heard it, I heard it and it's going to snag me. In words. I know very well that she won't forgive me at times like this.

"It's true, you're comfortable with me."

"Hehe. Wouldn't you?

"Oh."

I don't know how far I mean it, I laugh bitterly. Is that just a word to cheer me up? Or is this the word from one will: Ermenhilde?

It's just. It's true that we talked this way and the back of my chest just got a little lighter.

Get out of bed and stretch with momentum. I'm hungry, so here's the thing to think about. At the same time I thought so, the door to the room was knocked.

"Yes, we're free."

"Excuse me."

When I said no and the door was opened, the honey-colored hair I hadn't seen in the last few days appeared in my sight.

"Miss Francesca"

"Long time no see, Master Range"

There stood a lady Francesca dressed in elegant clothes, not in a familiar travel outfit.

"What's up? Is something wrong?

"Oh, no. I wondered what Mulu was up to."

"... you guys are really close."

"Huh?"

"No, it's nothing. Have you met Mululu yet?

Return the question here so as not to make Ermenhilde talk about anything else that might be unnecessary. It would just be awkward for the two of you to tell Miss Francesca what happened earlier.

"Yes. Until earlier, I was interrupting the other room."

"Right. Yeah, standing still is nothing. Why don't you sit down?

Recommend a chair to Miss Francesca, try to pinch the table and I'll sit down too.

"Can I get you a drink?

"It's okay. Thank you for your attention."

I miss her, too, this hard language. I smile back naturally, too, to her, who smiles with her mouth broken.

"Long time no see. How have you been?

"Hehe. Master Range doesn't seem to change."

'Not quite. Until just now, I was stuck in a lot of trouble.'

"... Really?

"Come on, I don't know"

Beat Ermenhilde from the top of his pocket and answer Miss Francesca's question with a shoulder to shoulder. Damn, as always, there's one more word.

"Speaking of which, I hear you taught Mr. Solnea chess,"

"Oh. Speaking of which, can Miss Francesca point to chess?

"A little bit, as much as a friend told me. A friend of mine was bringing it to the college dorm."

"Really? If you like, you can do it with Solnea once in a while. I think he likes chess."

"Sounds like it. We fought once earlier and managed to win"

Something. Is that Miss Francesca's strength or humility? From her character, I think maybe it's the latter.

The door to the room was knocked again as we talked about the public afterwards.

"Yes?"

"Excuse me..."

Before that word ends, the door opens. Maybe it was Ami who knocked, and it was Muru who opened the door halfway through the words.

Perhaps you were concerned about me and Miss Francesca talking in a situation where we were alone in the room. Well, Mululu would be different.

"Oh, hey... Murr. I'm still on my way to say hello..."

"I don't care about the range"

"I care. Say hello and open the door, Mululu."

"... do you care?

'Do you care?

Do you have the same idea as Mululu, Elmenhilde?

"It would be awkward if I was dressed."

"I have Fran now..."

"It's about when you're not here."

"I don't care"

"Mind you. If I were an adult, I wouldn't be in a dude's room. Normally."

"... Really?

"Ah. Right...... isn't it?

Why ask Ami there? Is it because it's same-sex?

And I want to tell Muru that you're a child because you don't care about that kind of place. In the future, I get anxious not to be fooled by weird men.

Ami was Ami, blushing her cheeks about what she imagined. What the hell did you imagine? You noticed my gaze, you let your gaze wander like a panic, and you're coughing with Cohon.

"What the hell are you imagining?

"Wow!?

"... why are you surprised by my voice"

Interesting, as always. I also recommended the chair to Ami and Mululu, and since it wasn't enough, I lower back to bed again.

When this happens, are there two people over there, Faerona and Solnea? I think the room is bigger over there, but I can feel you telling me to leave. Miss Francesca told me the story when I was thinking about moving to the other room once the story had been over.

"Dear Range, Do you have any plans for tomorrow night?

"No, I don't. What's wrong with you?

"My father. I called in Range and Aya for a dinner party."

"Me and Ami?

Turning his gaze to Ami, he nods and responds. They call me from a senior in college, and I don't seem particularly concerned about it.

Turning his gaze to Mululu, he is happily talking to Miss Francesca. When I look at it, I feel like I can't help it. Even so, I don't have to worry deeply about it.

"Faerona and Mululu, plus Solnea?

"It's okay. They're asking me to invite you."

"Then I'll take that invitation."

"Really?"

"Oh. Tomorrow you can have a full stomach meal, Mulu"

"... I don't eat that much"

When I say it, I get a musty reply back. The expression is adorable, and the three of us let the mouth blow.

You didn't seem to like that, and you do the trick of slapping Miss Francesca all the time. Miss Francesca laughing while stroking Mululu's head like that sounds like a lot of fun. I laugh as I look at them, Ami looks at them smiling too.

"Don't get lonely."

No one responds to Elmenhilde's voice. That was just for me.

"Right."

That's why I said what I meant without falsehood.
