"Shuting, don’t be hasty! Just take one bite and you’ll see. Really, just try one bite!"

’I’m actually a little proud of myself,’ he thought. ’I never realized Aunt Fang was so devious. Trying to trick someone out of their meat filling?’

’If I can’t have it, none of you can!’

He Shuting said, "Oh," and took a small, hesitant bite.

BOOM! BOOM!

With just one bite, she felt as if her brain was being violently bombarded!

As someone who didn’t even eat much meat, the pleasure that flooded her senses was an experience unlike any other!

He Shuting even felt her scalp tingle, and her legs grew weak!

She scrambled to a nearby dining table and sat down, devouring the bun.

Shoving the meat bun in her mouth, her decorum was no better than anyone else’s.

Aunt Fang stared at Liu Ahbao as if he were her mortal enemy.

’You just had to stick your nose in it, didn’t you?’

’You just had to act like you know everything, huh?’

’Believe it or not, Auntie’s gonna kick you out tonight!’

What little rationality Aunt Fang had left kept her from doing anything rash. After glaring at Ah Bao for a moment, she fixed her gaze back on Su Chen.

"Hey... why are you all looking at me like that?"

He’d started with seven buns. After giving out four, there were now three left in the steamer.

"Boss, you wouldn’t want people to find out about... us, would you?" He Shuting had a knack for being flirtatious, and she placed a hand on Su Chen’s shoulder.

"Please, have some self-respect!" Su Chen took a step back.

’These are just steamed buns, not some kind of aphrodisiac!’

"Boss, just tell us how much the buns are. We’ll all pay for them. Why won’t you let us eat?"

"Yeah, Boss! We’ll all just pay, that’ll solve it!"

Su Chen shook his head. "It’s not about the money! Someone isn’t here yet!"

"I’m here."

Everyone turned to look. They had all been so focused on the buns in Su Chen’s hands that they hadn’t noticed Ling Shuyu standing off to the side.

"What are you all doing? It’s just a steamed bun. Is it really necessary to crowd around the boss like this? If he made them today, he’ll make them again in the future. Have some dignity!"

Ling Shuyu really couldn’t understand it.

’Good food is one thing, but acting like this just makes you look pathetic, you know?’

’People need to have principles, a certain perspective. This is just a steamed bun. What are you going to do when something more important comes along? Act like this then, too?’

’It’s like a pro trying to carry a team of newbies. A hopeless cause!’

"Shuyu, don’t say any more. Just try it."

Su Chen handed President Ling a bun. He had to admit, while Shuyu’s salary at the company wasn’t high, she always had a commanding presence.

The moment she stood there, everyone else automatically cleared a path.

Ling Shuyu accepted the bun. "Thank you, Boss. I’m going back to work now."

As she walked toward her office, bun in hand, she still felt a bit of disdain for these veteran employees of Delicious.

’If this keeps up, when will the company ever grow and prosper?’

’Sigh... Without me, Ling Shuyu, this company is bound to... Huh?!’

Ling Shuyu suddenly stopped in her tracks, looking down at the bun she had just taken a bite out of.

’This isn’t the same big meat bun as before, is it?’

With a hint of skepticism, she took another bite.

"Eep!" With her back to the others, Ling Shuyu let out an involuntary cry.

’Damn it!’

’What on earth is going on?’

’Why is this bun so much more delicious than before?’

’It’s like I’ve never truly eaten a bun until now! *This* is what a real bun tastes like!!’

’And why did I just make that weird sound?’

’This...’

Regardless, Ling Shuyu kept her back to everyone and finished the bun in a few more bites. She could still feel the lingering, savory juice in her mouth, exuding an enticing aroma.

’There clearly weren’t any other vegetables in it, so why can I taste so many different kinds?’

Ling Shuyu stood frozen for a long time before finally making a decision.

She spun around, marched back to Su Chen, and held out her hand. "Hand it over."

"What?"

"The bun." Ling Shuyu said it with the confidence of someone who was in the right, even though she knew she wasn’t.

At that moment, Su Chen only had two big meat buns left in his steamer. It definitely wasn’t enough to split among so many people.

’What do I do now?’

’Am I going to have to resort to *that* trick?’

"Ahem." Su Chen cleared his throat twice. "Everyone, please calm down."

He genuinely hadn’t expected that a bun he considered merely "without obvious flaws" would provoke such an intense reaction from ordinary people.

You could almost believe he’d mixed some kind of unknown drug into them!

"There are only two buns left. How about this? To be fair, let’s play a game. Rock, paper, scissors. Whoever wins gets both buns!"

The terms Su Chen offered were very generous. The winner would get two buns all to themselves.

’Such a tempting prize should be enough to get me out of this mess.’

"Yay! Yay! I’m in! Winner takes all!" Zhang Li was the first to jump in, rubbing her hands together in eager anticipation.

"I agree!"

"I agree too!"

Everyone nodded in agreement. After all, if they didn’t participate, they’d get nothing. If they did, they had a chance to win—and get two buns at once!

Su Chen breathed a sigh of relief.

However, just then...

"Heh." Ling Shuyu suddenly let out a cold laugh. "If we play that kind of game, only one person will end up eating."

Everyone looked at President Ling.

"I, on the other hand, have an idea that will let everyone have some."

"What is it, sis?" Zhang Li’s loyalty was flimsy, to say the least. The moment she heard everyone could eat, she immediately sided with Ling Shuyu.

"Since the boss made these buns, why don’t we just have him make some more? There are only a few of us, so a couple for each person should be enough. We’ll all pay, of course."
