Chapter 59: Abducting Princess Vivian
[The Red Lotus Hotel]
The Red Lotus Hotel was a building located in the Upper East Side of the city of Aquinas, where all the rich and powerful people lived. It was one of the grandest hotels in the city as well as one of the most expensive, so it was only natural that this was where the Princess of the Kingdom would stay during her visit to Aquinas. There were guards patrolling the hotel grounds on all sides during this time of night, and there were even more guards standing on the rooftop and looking out for any signs of danger.
Even though nobody in the city should know that the princess was staying here, the guards could never be too careful. But unfortunately for the guards, they had never had to deal with someone capable of manipulating time.
Lyra knew that there was something strange about the carriage she saw arriving at the library. When Lyra had seen that carriage the previous day, she suspected that the passenger had to be someone really important. The only people who could have golden badges in this world were either nobles or royalty, and when Lyra saw the carriage passenger entering the library with a smile, Lyra realised that this person had to be there to visit Percival, and Lyra realised that she could use this person as a way to get Percival to do what she wanted.
Lyra had placed a surveillance on the brown-haired girl she saw that day to try and figure out who she was, and it didn’t take long before Lyra realized that the brown-haired appearance was only a disguise used to protect the princess of the kingdom. This was even better than Lyra imagined it would be, and Lyra immediately came up with a plan to take the Princess and use her to bargain for the second half of the Chronos Medallion.
The security around the Red Lotus hotel was extremely tight right now, but there was once a time when there was no security at all, and all Lyra had to do was use her pendant to transport four of her soldiers to a time before the guards arrived. Lyra had another plan that she had to carry out, but she trusted these four soldiers to handle this abduction easily since they were all in the third or fourth realm.
The guards protecting the hotel were mostly in the third and fourth realm as well, with one Fifth Realm Grandmaster among them, so it shouldn’t be too difficult to take the princess and escape since no one would expect them to be hiding inside the hotel!
The group would stay in one of the storage rooms for three days, and by the time tonight arrives, the guards would never know that the vampire soldiers were already waiting inside the hotel to kidnap the princess.
Tiran was the one in charge of this vampire group, and once he was sure that the Princess had returned, he instructed the group to cover themselves in illusion magic, and they made their way out of their hiding spot and through the well-decorated hallways of the Red Lotus Hotel. There were a few patrons and staff moving around, as well as a few guards patrolling the hotel, but the vampires were able to hide using their illusion, and Tiran used his compulsion magic to force one of the weaker soldiers to tell them the princess’ room number. The vampires headed straight for the room, and Tiran wasted no time as he placed his hand on the door and blew it right off its hinges.
BOOM!
A massive sound blasted the door away, and all the vampires dashed into the room. The princess and Fio were the only ones in the room, and Tiran shouted for his three subordinates to grab the princess! The three soldiers immediately dashed towards the Princess on the bed while Tiran ran towards Fio!
Fio and the princess were both frozen in shock from the unexpected attack! The princess had been sitting on the bed and excitedly telling Fio about how much fun she had while hanging out with Percy, and Fio was in the middle of helping to organize the princess’ dress for tomorrow when the attack happened. Since the vampires were all using illusion magic to hide, it looked like they were being attacked by invisible people, but Fio immediately activated [Magic Scanner], and she sensed that there were four people in the room.
"Princess! Run!"
Fio reached into a pocket dimension beside her, and she pulled out a massive war hammer that weighed more than a car! Fio swung it towards Tiran like it was made from paper, and Tiran grunted as he used his forearm to block the hit!
BOOM!
Tiran was thrown back by Fio’s unnatural strength, and Fio immediately dashed towards the princess! But it was already too late! Vivian had been completely shell-shocked by the sudden attack, and she couldn’t even move due to the fear, so she was easily grabbed by one of the soldiers, and the three subordinates jumped through the window to escape from the hotel!
Fio started running after them, but Fio was suddenly blindsided by a kick from Tiran. Tiran was in the Fifth Realm, while Fio was only in the Fourth Realm, so even though Fio managed to get in a lucky hit, Fio didn’t stand a chance against the much more powerful vampire. Tiran drew his sword with a condescending grin and dashed in to attack Fio again, and Fio grit her teeth as she prepared herself to end this fight as soon as possible.
Slash! Slash!
Clang! Clang!
Tiran unleashed multiple slashes against Fio, and Fio backpedaled desperately as she used the handle of her weapon to block them! Fio yelled as she swung her hammer towards Tiran’s head, but Tiran easily ducked under it before he spun around and slammed the heel of his foot into Fio’s stomach! Fio felt all her breath leave her body as the hit collided with her ribcage, and she was thrown back into the wall!
Bang!
"Gah!"
Fio let out a pained gasp, and Tiran immediately dashed in to finish her off! But Fio refused to back down, and she slammed her foot on the ground and brought her hammer down with all her strength!
BOOM!
The entire hotel shook from the force of Fio’s attack, and Tiran backpedaled in fear of how much damage that attack caused! The hammer had missed Tiran’s head by mere centimeters, and if that attack had hit, there was no way he would’ve survived it. Tiran began to activate his [Blood Arts] as he got ready to step up the fight, but Tiran stopped as he felt multiple guards running up to the princess’ bedroom. It wouldn’t be long before Tiran was outnumbered here, so it was time for him to leave.
"You’re not going anywhere. Bring back the princess."
Fio easily noticed what Tiran was planning to do, and she swung her hammer towards him again, but Tiran blocked it with his sword, and then he used the force of the hit to push himself back towards the window. Tiran gave Fio a mocking salute, and he was about to escape from the room, but everyone stopped in their tracks as three bodies were suddenly tossed through the window and back into the room!
’My men.’
Tiran felt his eyes widen when he saw that the three bodies were the men who had just left with the princess. What the hell was going on?
A gust of wind blew across the bedroom, and all of a sudden, Tiran felt a monster standing behind him. Tiran’s heart rate picked up, and he turned around very slowly to see who was there. It was a tall man with both human and cheetah features. He had a heavy scowl on his face, and he was carrying the unconscious princess in his hands.
"Master Sylvester!"
