Helicopter prototype one is complete.

Floating Iron Horse Modification - Well, as you name it later, I'll actually fly the pilot on. The flourishing pilot number one is Shapeshifter Soldier.

At first, I was gonna do it. Failure to experiment with science is an accessory. There are some major injuries and deaths - my God, when I joked about it while acting like dinner, I got enough fierce opposition from Early and Sakilis not to spill. I'm reflecting that it was an uninteresting joke.

By the way, it's been my job lately to cook dinner. I got the seasoning, but it's because the dishes I make were so delicious. Synthetic meat hamburger that day - writing synthetic meat or something sounds arrogant, but the taste is fine.

Now Kroja and Sakilis are desperately studying my cooking so that we can make it ourselves. The first custard pudding we made was something we could both make on our own.... because a lot of people want it as a snack after dinner.

That's what we talked about.

Now, before you fly the prototype, the rotation of the axis by driving the engine, the test of the main rotor itself, is over. No problems with durability. Even if it is wrong, it is not like the pilots and other weights will cause the shaft to come off and fly to the other side of the rotor.

A prototype helicopter is placed at a temporary airfield arranged flat at the eastern entrance of the hangar. Shapeshifter Soldier, the pilot, was given plenty of simulation (manpower) on how to tap into the steering method and how to move the joystick and lever.

It is a cockpit of peeling that passes alone and has no canoby. It expands the rear based on a floating iron horse body, has a rotary wing on the engine and a tail rotor that is smaller than the tail boom and main rotor. Solid type around the leg. I could have been wheeled, but at first I thought it would be better that way.

It should be noted that until we put it out at the temporary parking airport, we let the magic car tow a special trolley and carried it with it.

Everyone, except the maid Kroja, was present at the site of the first flight of this prototype helicopter.

Bell, who had not seen or seen the production process, frowned when he saw the iron horse modification.

"Why is this guy following his tail?

You mean the tail boom. A tail stretched straight behind the torso - one there, with a small rotary wing vertically attached. The so-called tail rotor.

"When the main rotor rotates, the fuselage rotates in the opposite direction of that rotation."

So in the case of a tail rotor type helicopter, without it, the glue and fuselage will rotate and become nowhere near manoeuvre. Not as a vehicle in the first place.... Before I came to this world, I saw a certain war movie, but I had seen a scene where a tail rotor blown helicopter crashed while spinning about a rocket launcher.

The tail rotor at the tail is an important part that offsets the rotational force of the fuselage trying to reverse rotate.

"Hmm.... by the way, Gin. You, what's in that hand?

"Hmm? Yeah, it's a camera."

Camera? If Mr. Bell twists his neck, Early turns an interesting eye next to me.

"Also a new invention?

"Oh, I thought I'd leave some footage."

It is a copy core made by Blah Blah Dungeon Core.

The trigger dates back to when the surveillance core was installed in the land of Willidis. At that time, the visual data captured by the installed surveillance core photographed Golem, the dungeon guardian, and transferred it to the other cores.

By the way, later on, I saw Safilo, the main unit, play back the image recording at that time, and I thought this was already the same as the video camera. D.C. Rod is me who can display scanned terrain records in holographic form, or mapped them with magic transcription. Instead, I should have noticed sooner!

If that were the case, it would not have taken much longer to make a small copy core made by Safilo into an image recording device.

The camera produced is embedded in a small box shape to the extent that it fits into the hand, with a copy core embedded in a semi-burned state. At first glance, it's like a camera lens. The top has switches for video recording and photography.

The functions that were allowed to be held in the copy core were limited to image recording and zooming functions, as well as projection functions of recorded video. To suppress core manufacturing magic for cameras and ensure ample image recording capacity, the other extra features were omitted.... but I was wondering if I could have applied the dark vision feature.

You can play the captured footage like a video, or you can leave a scene like a picture. It is also possible to make pictures by reflecting images on paper stretched with magic on its surface - this was not particularly difficult because it had been used for the creation of dungeon maps for a long time.

That's why I point the camera in my hand, the core that's also on that lens, at the prototype helicopter. Recorded footage of historical moments - well, it's also a reference material when it fails.

Shapeshifter, I hear you switched on the demon stone engine, and the prototype helicopter's rotary wing started spinning.

The sound of wings cutting the wind around becomes progressively louder. In contrast, the engine sounds are roaring, but not at a level that can be described as noise. The Demon Stone engine is relatively quiet.

"Come on, do it well..."

I was unintentionally squealing in my mouth. Shapeshifter, you saw me. Put the SS soldier gear together, with a helmet-shaped helmet. I don't know the face.... Well, they can change their faces to their liking. The shapeshifter did the trick where you slapped a ton of ears on your helmet.

Oh, go. I panicked and put a magic comm in my ear. Mr. Bell and others can talk about magic, but SS soldiers need a dedicated communications machine when using magic talk.

"Master Jin. No abnormalities in the engine. Departure instructions, please. '

"Got it. Slowly ascend first."

"Copy that. Throttle up."

The rotary wing gained even more momentum. The wind blows to the ground, and it also reaches us as we watch it roll away. Sakilis and Yuna suppressed their hair with the wind and frowned upon the curly dust. Full parking space, not temporary, should be paved.

When Mr. Bell hates the dust or jumps on Yuna, he rubs his face against that big chest. Hey, old man, what the hell are you doing?

Prototype helicopters didn't quite jump up. I guess the lifting force is still losing weight. Shapeshifter, you're slowly adjusting the throttle lever. Because all of a sudden, it's dangerous to put it up to maximum and fly.

As with floating iron horses, floating is also possible, but this time when flying up, we meet beforehand that we will not use it. Because if you don't fly with a proper rotary wing, it doesn't make sense.

And the time has come.

The chopper floated.

"I flew!

Early raised her voice, "Whoa," she said from around.

Once floating, I felt the helicopter rising faster. When it jumps up somewhat, the rising speed of prototype helicopter one turns into something slow. The fuselage is rotating in the right direction...

"Pilot, shall we try aerial stationary (hovering)? Slightly lower the throttle and adjust it so it can rest from there."

Copy that. - Shapeshifter, you followed my instructions and performed an operation to hold the helicopter still in the air.

"I'm kind of flustered."

As Mr. Bell shrugged, the helicopter, which had been rocking up and down for a while, eventually tried hovering, but it was not what could be described as a success to fulfill. I could speculate that my neck is shifting to the right and to the left because my ladder is weak, but why do I even hit it so hard up and down...?

I give up hovering and I tell Shapeshifter to fly according to the test program. In the air, the helicopter made advances, swivels and retreats, and tried all the way up and down before landing at the temporary airport. It took a little while but no trouble to get into contact with the ground.

The test flight was a success in that it did not crash. Though unlimited where hovering did not work and was unstable in flight is close to failure.

"You did it, Jin!

"Congratulations, Master"

Early and Yuna gave me words of blessing. From those of them who don't know the helicopters that fly properly, I guess just flying looked like success. Yeah, well, you know...

Congratulations, even though it's not the first flight in the world because it's a world with flying warcraft and floating magic.

And there's another failure. That's what I forgot about shooting helicopters in flight. Moments of flying and down could be filmed, but the others only showed the parking lot.

... I should have prepared something for the record keeper. Let's do that next time.
