Chapter 195: Titan
Jiang Feng stood in front of a large virtual map.
LittleMaple sat beside him.
She was eating virtual bread.
Jiang Feng looked toward her.
"...Why?"
She stopped chewing.
"Why what?"
"We don’t need food."
"It tastes good."
"We’re in a strategy meeting."
"Still tastes good."
Jiang Feng sighed.
Several Windfall members laughed.
MoonPetal sat near the window.
Her attention kept moving toward the guild chat.
More specifically...
One name.
ShenTian: Offline
She looked away.
Then back.
Still offline.
LittleMaple noticed.
She smiled.
MoonPetal immediately narrowed her eyes.
"Don’t."
"I didn’t say anything."
"You were going to."
LittleMaple bit into the bread.
"...Maybe."
Jiang Feng tapped the map.
"Focus."
Everyone quieted.
A marker appeared.
Ashen Valley
One Windfall scout spoke.
"We found the fortress last night."
Another added,
"There’s definitely a territory event."
"How many enemies?"
"Unknown."
"Level?"
"Mostly thirty plus."
Jiang Feng nodded.
Windfall’s top players were around Level 25 to 29.
Dangerous.
But manageable with numbers.
Then...
The scout hesitated.
Jiang Feng noticed.
"What?"
"We weren’t the only ones."
The room became quieter.
"Who?"
The scout looked directly at Jiang Feng.
"Titan."
Silence.
LittleMaple slowly stopped eating.
MoonPetal looked toward Jiang Feng.
For a moment...
His face showed nothing.
Then he asked,
"How many?"
The scout looked surprised by his calm.
"At least two hundred players."
"Main roster?"
"We recognized several names."
A list appeared.
TitanBlade
TitanNova
TitanFrost
TitanHao
Jiang Feng’s eyes stopped.
TitanHao.
Chen Hao.
His replacement.
The new captain.
MoonPetal immediately noticed.
"Fallen?"
"I’m fine."
LittleMaple looked toward the list.
"Do you know them?"
Jiang Feng became quiet.
The room didn’t know his identity.
Not officially.
Rumors existed.
A lot of people suspected FallenWind was Jiang Feng.
But he had never confirmed it.
He looked around.
Then...
He smiled faintly.
"Yeah."
MoonPetal remained silent.
Jiang Feng tapped the fortress.
"We still go."
One officer frowned.
"Against Titan?"
"Yes."
"They have more players."
"I know."
"Better equipment."
"Probably."
"Professional coordination."
Jiang Feng smiled.
"So?"
The officer became quiet.
Jiang Feng looked around the room.
"Nobody joined Windfall because we were the biggest guild."
"No."
"Nobody joined because we’re the richest."
"No."
"And nobody joined because I promised we’d never lose."
The room became completely silent.
Jiang Feng continued.
"If you’re afraid of fighting a bigger organization..."
"Leave."
Nobody moved.
LittleMaple slowly smiled.
Jiang Feng looked toward the map.
"If Titan wants Blackstone..."
"They can earn it."
At Titan Esports headquarters...
The mood was completely different.
More than fifty full dive capsules occupied the gaming floor.
Coaches stood behind monitoring stations.
Analysts watched maps.
Managers reviewed data.
Everything was structured.
Professional.
Expensive.
Efficient.
A giant Titan logo covered the far wall.
Inside one of the capsules...
Chen Hao opened his eyes in Eternal Realm.
His character wore expensive Level 28 plate armor.
Far better equipment than the average player.
His class...
Stormblade.
Not Unique.
But Rare.
Obtained through an organizational quest Titan’s analysts discovered.
Beside him stood Titan’s core squad.
Everyone used optimized builds.
Everyone had received company funded gear.
One player spoke.
"Windfall scouts were spotted near Ashen Valley."
Chen Hao’s eyes narrowed.
"Windfall?"
"Yes."
Another player laughed.
"That new guild."
"The first guild established in Silverbrook."
Chen Hao knew.
Everyone did.
Windfall had become one of the biggest stories in Eternal Realm.
Not because it was the largest.
But because of its founder.
FallenWind.
The rumors had become impossible to ignore.
Movement patterns.
Combat decisions.
Leadership style.
Sword positioning.
People had started comparing footage.
Titan’s internal analysts had already reached their conclusion.
FallenWind...
Was Jiang Feng.
The manager stood beside Chen Hao’s capsule through a voice connection.
"Don’t focus on him."
Chen Hao frowned.
"I wasn’t."
"You were."
Silence.
The manager continued.
"Blackstone Fortress matters more."
"I know."
"Good."
Another analyst spoke.
"If we control it, Titan becomes the dominant guild in the western Silverbrook region."
Chen Hao looked toward the map.
"What about ShenTian?"
A strange silence followed.
The manager’s expression tightened.
Shen Tian.
Young Master Shen.
Massive shareholder in NovaDream.
Streamer.
Top Ranger.
And...
Apparently...
Frequent teammate of FallenWind.
That relationship made Titan management uncomfortable.
Very uncomfortable.
"We don’t provoke him."
Chen Hao looked over.
"Even if he helps Windfall?"
The manager hesitated.
"Compete normally."
"Don’t target him personally."
"Don’t trash talk."
"Don’t create clips that can become a PR problem."
Chen Hao stared.
"So we’re supposed to be afraid of him?"
"No."
The manager’s response came too quickly.
Chen Hao noticed.
He looked away.
"...Right."
Shen Tian logged in.
Silverbrook appeared around him.
Almost immediately...
Messages exploded.
MoonPetal: FINALLY
LittleMaple: THIEF
FallenWind: Ashen Valley. Now.
Shen Tian stared.
"...Good morning to them too."
Xu Ning smiled.
[They’re becoming comfortable.]
He opened Jiang Feng’s message.
ShenTian: What’s happening?
Reply.
FallenWind: Titan found the fortress.
Shen Tian paused.
Then smiled.
ShenTian: Oh.
Three dots.
FallenWind: That’s all you have to say?
ShenTian: This sounds fun.
Pause.
FallenWind: ...
Then...
FallenWind: You’re a terrible person.
Shen Tian laughed.
He teleported toward the nearest Ashen Valley checkpoint.
Thirty minutes later...
Shen Tian reached Windfall’s camp.
The difference was immediate.
Windfall players recognized him.
Some waved.
Others whispered.
Several had watched his stream.
LittleMaple ran toward him.
"Shen!"
She stopped.
Pointed directly at him.
"You’re late."
"I have a life."
She stared.
"That’s rude."
"How?"
"We’re your friends."
Shen Tian smiled.
"Exactly."
LittleMaple sighed.
Then turned.
"Captain is over there."
MoonPetal appeared before Shen Tian could move.
She smiled.
"Morning."
Shen Tian looked toward her.
"Morning."
For a moment...
Neither spoke.
MoonPetal looked slightly more nervous than usual.
Their real world meeting was approaching.
Saturday.
Only a few days away.
She’d already changed outfits in her head approximately fourteen times.
Shen Tian didn’t know that.
Thankfully.
"You sleep okay?"
She immediately regretted asking because it sounded strangely intimate.
Shen Tian didn’t care.
"Yeah."
"You?"
"Fine."
LittleMaple looked between them.
Then slowly smiled.
MoonPetal noticed.
"Go away."
"I didn’t say anything."
"You were going to."
LittleMaple laughed and escaped.
Shen Tian smiled.
