Chapter 379 - 378: You Really Want to Know?
Sword Qi flooded the area, a raging, crisscrossing tempest!
Like a storm, it swept up the surrounding air and rushed to envelop Qin Ya.
Seeing this, Qin Ya gave a low shout. The energies of Thunder and Fire erupted from his palms, fusing together. They instantly formed a sea of Thunder and Fire, which he unleashed like a ferocious Fierce Beast.
In an instant, the sea of Thunder and Fire collided with the Sword Qi storm, triggering a massive explosion. The surrounding cave walls were blasted with countless sword marks and craters, leaving a scene of utter devastation.
The smoke had barely settled when innumerable streams of Sword Qi converged again, forming blades that materialized and hovered in mid-air. The Sword Qi was condensed to its absolute peak, and its terrifying fluctuations alone were enough to make one feel as if they were being cut to pieces. With a deep shout, the black-robed youth sent the hundred-odd blades lunging at Qin Ya. They moved like a long dragon, baring fangs and claws, ready to tear him to shreds!
Qin Ya just smiled faintly before letting out a low shout. In the void, tendrils of purple lightning danced. An endless torrent of Thunder formed a Thunder Sea, only to condense in the next moment. Almost instantaneously, over a hundred Thunder Spears, all shimmering with purple light, hovered in the air. With an indifferent wave from Qin Ya, the Thunder Spears shot forward to meet the blades in a cataclysmic collision!
BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!
A wave of energy, several times more powerful than the last, erupted from the collision. The resulting Energy Shock was so immense that it caused the entire tunnel to tremble violently and begin to crack apart.
A white-clad figure shot through the dust cloud, spear in hand, and the sound of clashing metal erupted ceaselessly. The black-robed youth was now in a world of hurt. He had just used his ultimate move, only to be met with a furious assault from Qin Ya. To make matters worse, not only was Qin Ya’s spear impossibly fast, but his Spear Technique was also exquisitely refined!
In just a few exchanges, he had been completely suppressed.
’This isn’t good. I have to use my Dharma Aspect!’
Just as he was about to summon his Dharma Aspect, Qin Ya’s spear carved an exquisite arc through the air, instantly knocking the sword from his hand. The tip of the spear came to rest against his throat, a mere fraction of an inch from piercing through and taking his life.
A drop of cold sweat trickled down the black-robed youth’s forehead. He swallowed hard, able to feel the oppressive chill emanating from the spear tip. "You win!"
"You’ve conceded."
Qin Ya smiled faintly and withdrew his spear.
After his defeat, the black-robed youth began traveling with Qin Ya.
About three hours later, the two followed the guidance of the Sword Artifact and arrived in a vast, open area. More than a dozen caves dotted the perimeter of this space. As they entered, a few other people were also arriving from different passages...
In the center of the vast space, a colossal pillar of light stretched toward the ceiling.
"It seems this is the center of the peak, the final destination the Sword Artifact was leading to," the black-robed youth said. "But how are we supposed to get out of here?"
"We wait," Qin Ya said calmly.
Time passed, and just like that, two days had gone by.
During this time, more and more people arrived. On this day, Muh Qing also reached the area. He saw Qin Ya at a glance and immediately walked over.
"Brother Qin."
"Brother Muh, how have you been?"
"Sigh, don’t even ask. The journey here was incredibly perilous. If it weren’t for that bottle of Elixirs you gave me, Brother Qin, I’m afraid I wouldn’t have made it out alive."
The two chatted for a bit before resuming their wait.
Gradually, Qin Ya noticed something was off.
Xu Zhenhong had said there were only thirty-six Sword Artifacts for this trial, meaning only thirty-six people should have been able to obtain one. However, there were already more than thirty-six people in this area. ’What exactly is Kunyun Palace planning?’
Another day passed. The number of people in the space had now reached forty-six.
And today, a person emerged from one of the caves.
The newcomer was dressed in blood-red robes, and a palpable Evil Qi radiated from him.
The moment he saw this person, a cold light flashed in Qin Ya’s eyes. A slight, cruel smile touched his lips as an overwhelming killing intent, like the Death God himself passing by, erupted from him and washed over the area!
Seeing this, everyone’s pupils contracted.
This was especially true for Xuer Kong. He felt as if he’d been targeted by an ancient Fierce Beast; the hair on his body stood on end and his scalp tingled. He whipped his head around, his pupils shrinking to the size of pinpricks!
"It’s you, Qin Ya!"
Xuer Kong said in a cold voice, inwardly on high alert. He didn’t dare to be the least bit careless.
"I’ve been waiting a long time for you."
Qin Ya smiled faintly. His figure flickered, and in the blink of an eye, he was in front of Xuer Kong. Without a single word, he raised a hand, surging with Thunder, and thrust his palm forward!
"Dharma Aspect!"
Xuer Kong knew he was weaker than Qin Ya in a direct fight, so he didn’t hesitate for a second. He immediately summoned his Celestial Human Dharma Aspect. Heaven and Earth Primordial Qi surged, and amidst a spreading blood mist, a one-hundred-foot-tall, entirely blood-red Celestial Human Dharma Aspect manifested!
The Thunder Palm Qi struck the Dharma Aspect’s body and, with a BANG, instantly dissipated. The Blood-Colored Dharma Aspect let out a furious roar and brought down a gigantic fist!
"Hmph."
Qin Ya snorted. The energies of Thunder and Fire erupted from him, lightning crackling within a blazing inferno. He blasted it forward like a miniature sun. The instant the Dharma Aspect’s fist collided with the attack, an endless gale erupted, forcing the onlookers to retreat several dozen feet.
"Qin Ya, I will kill you!"
Xuer Kong gave a cold smile. An endless blood mist converged, forming a colossal, blood-colored longsword. The Blood-Colored Dharma Aspect gripped the blade, roared, and swung it down at Qin Ya.
"That’s something you will never be able to do."
With a cold laugh, Qin Ya unleashed the energies of Thunder, Fire, and Ice. They converged, condensing into a massive spear that he thrust forward with terrifying might.
After his battle with Luu Kuang, Qin Ya had realized his application of the Mysterious principles wasn’t flexible enough. But following a period of intense training, he was far more powerful than before!
The thrust of the spear, formed from the convergence of Thunder, Fire, and Ice, made the very air roil. The colossal sword in the Blood-Colored Dharma Aspect’s hand shattered inch by inch in under two breaths. The spear’s power, however, did not diminish in the slightest as it shot toward the Blood-Colored Dharma Aspect. The Dharma Aspect roared and caught the spear with both hands, but the force of the blow sent its entire body flying over a hundred feet away.
CRASH! The massive Blood-Colored Dharma Aspect slammed into the cavern wall. Dozens of huge cracks spiderwebbed across the rock face, dislodging minerals that tumbled down amidst billowing clouds of dust. When the dust settled, the onlookers all sucked in a sharp breath.
The chest of the hundred-foot Dharma Aspect had a gaping wound over a dozen feet wide. Streaks of Thunder flashed across it, and Flames licked at its edges. Xuer Kong’s face was pale; clearly, the damage to his Dharma Aspect had affected him as well.
Everyone knew Qin Ya was strong!
But they had never imagined he was *this* strong—strong enough to easily overwhelm a Dharma Aspect!
Qin Ya’s figure flashed, and in an instant, he was before Xuer Kong. "Tell me," he said, his voice laced with ice, "were you responsible for what happened to that town?!"
"Heh, you’re dying to know, aren’t you?"
Xuer Kong glared up at the domineering Qin Ya, his eyes filled with malice. He then laughed wildly, "Do you really think an attack of this level is enough to kill me?"
Just as Xuer Kong was about to make his move, the surrounding walls began to tremble violently. Then, a gigantic face materialized within the pillar of light.
The face... was none other than Xu Zhenhong!
"Everyone, congratulations on making it here."
"As I said, only those who obtained one of the thirty-six Sword Artifacts and made it out of Hundred Acupoints Peak would pass the second trial. Now, will those who acquired a Sword Artifact please present your swords," Xu Zhenhong said, a slight smile on his face.
