"Heh. You’ve lost."

The words were spoken with a light laugh. Immediately after, Qin Ya appeared behind Jiang Yun, long spear in hand. A vast Power of Nature, infused with the terrifying Power of Destruction, converged at the tip of his spear. He thrust it out, its power several times greater than before!

KREEE...

The tip of the spear struck Jiang Yun’s Dharma Aspect, letting out a piercing shriek. Then, with a CRACK, a crisp sound like shattering glass rang out. To Jiang Yun’s ears, however, it was like the rumble of thunder. His True Essence flared as he frantically poured it into his Dharma Aspect.

But it was all for naught. The spear tip remained unstoppable. With a thunderous boom, Jiang Yun’s Dharma Aspect instantly shattered, dissolving into motes of light.

WHOOSH...

Qin Ya dispelled his Dharma Aspect as well. He held his long spear, its tip stopping less than two millimeters from Jiang Yun. Jiang Yun could even feel the chill coming off the point.

A bitter smile touched the corners of Jiang Yun’s mouth. "I’ve lost!" he said.

"Acknowledged."

Qin Ya smiled faintly and put away his long spear.

"Winner... Qin Ya!"

The majestic voice rang out, and the two of them were instantly transported back to the hall.

Only Qin Ya and Jiang Yun were in the hall. The others had clearly not finished their battles and had yet to return. Neither was in a hurry, so they started to chat.

"Heh, I failed the Law Enforcer exam this time. I wonder if the Peak Master will chew me out when I get back. Ugh, I just hope I don’t get put in confinement."

"Heh, the Master of Peak One. I’d like to meet them if I get the chance."

Qin Ya wasn’t just being polite. Peak One was the foremost of the Lower Seventy-Two Peaks, producing an endless stream of geniuses, every one of them a Martial Artist comparable to a Peak Master.

For the Master of Peak One to stand out from such a crowd and claim that title, their skill and strength must be truly extraordinary. Qin Ya was naturally curious.

"We’re all in Kunyun Palace; there will be chances."

Just then, two more figures appeared before them: Ling Zhan and Zhang Qin. Zhang Qin’s face was deathly pale. His fists were clenched so tightly the veins bulged on his arms. With eyes full of bitter resentment, he slammed a fist into a nearby pillar.

The outcome was obvious.

Ling Zhan, though his own face was pale, had a wildly arrogant look in his eyes. "Haha, Zhang Qin," he boomed, "you should go back and cultivate for another five years!"

"Hmph." Zhang Qin snorted coldly and fell silent.

Next, Ling Zhan turned to Jiang Yun and Qin Ya and laughed. "Jiang Yun! Didn’t expect you to finish your fight even faster than me. Not bad! Then again, your opponent was just at the Sky-Controlling level. Must’ve been a cakewalk."

"You really got lucky, drawing an opponent like that."

A strange look crossed Jiang Yun’s face upon hearing this.

’A cakewalk? A cakewalk my ass.’

But Jiang Yun just gave a knowing smile and offered no explanation.

Since Jiang Yun didn’t explain, Qin Ya simply smiled and kept quiet.

An hour later, Xue Qianlong and Bai Li also returned.

Both women looked pale, and their auras were weak.

"I look forward to our next match,"

Bai Li said faintly, a rare smile barely touching her serious face.

Xue Qianlong nodded lightly in return. "Likewise."

Just then, Ling Zhan walked over and eagerly asked, "So, who won?"

Bai Li shook her head. "You’ll find out soon enough."

At that moment, the majestic voice echoed through the hall.

"The Law Enforcer examination has concluded. The first new Law Enforcer is... Xue Qianlong!"

At this, a hint of a smile finally appeared on Xue Qianlong’s otherwise cold, beautiful face.

A flash of disappointment crossed Bai Li’s face, but she quickly composed herself. Ling Zhan’s eyes widened as he pointed at her. "Bai Li, you lost!"

"What, is that so surprising?" Bai Li said coolly, her delicate brows furrowing slightly.

Ling Zhan immediately shook his head and turned to Jiang Yun. "Man, I thought we, the Three Prodigies of Peak One, would sweep all three spots. Looks like it’s just you and me now. Should we rename ourselves the Two Prodigies?"

"Heh." Jiang Yun chuckled softly, saying nothing.

"The second new Law Enforcer is... Ling Zhan!!"

Upon hearing his name, Ling Zhan took a step forward and puffed out his chest, his expression full of pride.

"The third new Law Enforcer is... Qin Ya!!"

"Jiang Yun, congratu—"

Ling Zhan started to say something, but suddenly trailed off, stunned.

The atmosphere grew eerily silent. Everyone’s gaze shifted back and forth between Qin Ya and Jiang Yun, filled with shock and uncertainty.

Jiang Yun just gave a wry smile. "What’s with all the staring? Am I not allowed to lose?"

BOOM. His words landed like a bombshell, sending shockwaves through everyone’s mind.

He lost. Jiang Yun had lost.

They wouldn’t have been surprised if he had lost to anyone else, but he had lost to Qin Ya.

A Martial Artist whose Cultivation was only at the Sky-Controlling Perfection realm!

They thought they had already done their best to overestimate Qin Ya, but unexpectedly, they had still gravely underestimated him. His combat prowess was actually on a completely different level.

Even Jiang Yun—one of the Three Prodigies of Peak One and a cultivator at Celestial Human Realm Perfection—was no match for him. Heavens, and Qin Ya was only at Sky-Controlling Perfection!

"You really lost?" Ling Zhan asked, still in a daze.

"Yup. From now on, you’re the only one left of the Three Prodigies of Peak One."

Jiang Yun smiled, his tone returning to its usual flippancy.

"Oh my god, you have to tell me, how did you lose?"

"Don’t tell me you didn’t use your Dharma Aspect? No, that’s impossible. This is the Law Enforcer exam. You wouldn’t be dumb enough to hold back your Dharma Aspect, no matter what."

"So how did that kid win?"

Ling Zhan fired off a barrage of questions, and the others stared at Jiang Yun, their faces full of curiosity.

But Jiang Yun just smiled faintly. "Pfft. He won, and that’s that."

Clearly, he didn’t want to elaborate.

Everyone else immediately turned their inquisitive gazes toward Qin Ya.

Sensing their stares, Qin Ya smiled slightly and said, "It was purely a fluke."

’Heh, a fluke? A fluke my ass.’

’How can you give such a lame excuse?’

Everyone was exasperated, but since neither of them was willing to talk, they couldn’t very well force the issue.

"Alright, kid, you and me! Let’s have a match!" Ling Zhan declared, stepping forward. "I want to see what kind of power you have to be able to defeat Jiang Yun."

"Heh, I’m afraid you won’t even be able to touch the hem of his robes,"

Jiang Yun said flippantly, though a flash of admiration glinted in his eyes. He wasn’t joking. With Qin Ya’s terrifying speed, if he truly wished it, probably no one present could even touch him.

"I don’t believe it! Let’s have a match right now!"

Ling Zhan said, cracking his knuckles. From his stance, it was clear he really wanted to fight Qin Ya. Just then, Bai Li’s brows knitted, and she barked at him to stop.

"Ling Zhan, this is the Golden Summit Hall! Control yourself."

At her words, Ling Zhan’s eyes flickered, and he finally reined in his War Intent. Still, he looked at Qin Ya resentfully. "Hmph. Kid, just you wait."

"I’ll be ready."

Just then, the majestic voice rang out once more.

"Xue Qianlong, Ling Zhan, Qin Ya, take out your Cyan Cloud Orders."

Hearing this, the three of them immediately took out their Cyan Cloud Orders.

Three rays of golden light shot out from the void, merging into the Cyan Cloud Orders. Instantly, two brilliant golden words appeared on each token... Law Enforcer!

"From this day forward, you are... Law Enforcers!"
