As for that spinning red light, though it left a strong impression, no one saw clearly what it was. Boss Kun and the others only saw the lizard collapse with a bang, and then a black-clothed figure slowly emerged from behind its mountainous corpse. The person’s features were unremarkable, lost in a crowd, yet they stood tall and graceful, their face devoid of any expression.

This woman was, of course, Ning Xiaoxian.

This was her first time taking action since awakening from her long slumber, and it seemed her past skills hadn’t faded. Feeling satisfied, she glanced at the people in front of her, just about to speak, when she suddenly clutched her chest and coughed violently.

Changtian stood behind her, immediately stepping forward and pulling her into his arms, whispering, "Can’t take it anymore?" A surge of pure Divine Power was already transferred over.

"It’s alright." Borrowing this power, she ran the True One Technique, slowly regulating her breathing.

They had already delved deeply into the underground palace, and the increasingly thick Evil Qi had a growing impact on her. On the way, she adjusted several times, barely managing to keep the Evil Qi outside her body. Changtian was right; this was indeed an excellent test of her skill mastery.

The high-speed movement just now was only a test, and it proved that when her body’s activity became intense, the Protective Gang Qi’s protective ability against Evil Qi weakened again. A few wisps snuck in, and that suffocating feeling of chest tightness attacked once more. This was due to her having Divine Power; ordinary cultivators would find all their abilities suppressed to the limit here.

Boss Kun took two steps forward and said solemnly, "Where did you two come from, and what are you doing here?" Everyone’s eyes still showed signs of vigilance; even if the other had just saved one of their own, in this deep underground palace, mysterious humans were not much friendlier than monsters.

Changtian spoke, his voice becoming hoarse and gravelly, completely different from his original tone: "Sent by someone to find something."

Boss Kun was indeed more cautious: "What are you looking for?"

"The same thing as you." At these words, the faces of the people opposite changed. Changtian said calmly, "This underground palace appeared by itself; it’s not your family’s property. Do you think only you can search, but we can’t?"

Just as Boss Kun was about to retort, a groan came from behind. Though not loud, everyone could hear the intense pain contained within. Aji’s eyes were rolling back, cold sweat streaming down his forehead, with a few strands of black Qi on his face.

Ning Xiaoxian leaned forward to look at him, curiously saying, "He’s poisoned by Mountain Anchor, yet he can still hold on in this underground palace. But, he’s not far from death now..."

Boss Kun glanced back at his nephew, feeling a pang of bitterness: "You..." Just as he was about to scold the other for saying a few less sarcastic words, the girl chuckled and continued, "Do you want him to live?"

Everyone was taken aback. What did it mean to want him to live or not? Of course, they wanted to; the number of people entering the underground palace was already few, and losing one meant less strength. Boss Kun felt a surge of hope in his heart: "Can you save him?"

"Perhaps, maybe, I can?" She said with a smile, "I don’t really know, but why should I bother to save him?"

"The Fourth" had a clever mind, interjecting, "If you save him, can he move as usual?" This demand was high yet realistic. If Aji needed bedridden convalescence for several days after recovering, these people would rather not treat him. They would just leave the burden here anyway.

This person was indeed clever. Ning Xiaoxian glanced at him and nodded: "If we take action, we can certainly give you a healthy person, guaranteed lively and jumping."

Boss Kun let out a long breath, as if to expel the pent-up frustration in his heart: "Name your terms."

Ning Xiaoxian extended one finger: "Information exchange." She and Changtian were curious about how these people managed to survive until now.

Boss Kun thought for a bit, seeming like there was no loss. After all, the boss didn’t require them to keep it secret: "Okay."

She extended a second finger: "Join forces and travel together."

This time, Boss Kun’s face darkened, feeling somewhat unwilling. These two appeared suddenly, with unknown depths, and if they made a sly move from behind, where would he go to cry?

Ning Xiaoxian, just by looking at his face, knew what he was thinking. She shrugged: "If we wanted you dead, we wouldn’t have made a move just now. That lizard and its companion could’ve wiped you all out, so why would we waste that energy? You needn’t be suspicious; the six or seven of you are indeed useful to us. Since this underground palace’s path is still to be traveled, we hope for more people and more strength."
