The Journey of the Overlord

The Overlord's Journey Chapter 226.

The people became even more frightened and quickly ran out of shops, leaving only two policemen and one four-block body in the entire shopping street.

Ten minutes later.

A team of police cars arrived at the side of the road, and a group of police officers got out of the cars and immediately threw up after looking at the bodies on the ground.

"Vom~ What's going on here!"

The officer-like figure in the lead vomited while asking the police around him.

"Vom~ Sir, this is a call we just got, saying that a cursed child has killed someone here, and it's two cops who killed it, and it looks like it's these two guys."

"Vom~ Quickly go investigate the situation, this is really the worst death I've ever seen, those damn monsters, how dare they be so arrogant in the city, do they want me to kill them all!"

"Go check the video!"

"Yes!"

These are the police officers who came to investigate when the streets were called to report a homicide, and they arrived in the area and began looking for cameras in the surrounding stores to gather information.

In the guardhouse of a nearby mall, they found footage that captured what was happening on the street during this time.

In the footage, the two cops in turn shoot a bald man in a peculiar suit, but after each shot, a black shadow bulges on the ground, which then cuts the bullet and the body all in half.

After slicing, they return to the ground again.

So the cops had located the perp as the oddly dressed bald man.

"Any witnesses giving clues?"

Watching the footage that kept repeating, the sheriff questioned the officers around him.

"There were so many that almost the entire street could have been a witness at the time."

"So, tell us about the clues."

"The murder was committed by the son of the curse ...."

The sheriff answered.

"Huh? Is that the kid on the shoulder?"

"No..."

The constable thought for a moment before answering.

"The bald man, according to the public, is the one who killed the man, and his eyes are red, so both of these men are children of the curse."

"There are adults who are the children of the curse?!"

The sheriff was surprised.

"Then through other footage, we found out that the two men had gone straight out of town after the killings and headed to District 39, where the Cursed Child was gathered."

"Is that even true? .... That means that's where the Cursed Sons came into the city to grab food."

The sheriff understood the current situation.

"Did the damned monsters finally manage to stay outside, cut, what a trouble."

Standing up, he gathered his things.

"Go notify a couple of civilian police companies, and the army, it's not something we can handle this time, it has to be the civilian police and the army to do it."

"I know."

"Monsters, let the monsters face the monsters, we, we're better off facing the humans."

The sheriff said and walked out of the control room, the rest of the police began to notify the upper office, then passed on to the military side, while on the other hand, passed on to the civilian police department that day.

The military was the force that dealt with the proto-gutters of the periphery, and so was the civilian police.

But the Civilian Police is an awkward role.

Since it was a civilian company, they were usually entrusted with various tasks, including not only destroying the invading proto-intestinal animals, but also bodyguards, guards, and searches. Basically, a duo equipped with weapons made of holmium metal, a human and a cursed child, known as facilitators and starters, respectively, act as the mission performers. From the point of view of the police organization, they are like a thorn in the side of the "land-grabbers" if they interfere with the police's jurisdiction.

Yet they are the main force in dealing with the proto-gutters.

It was better for them to step in when faced with a situation like Aziz Dakaha's, but the army was instead in trouble.

After a series of announcements, the army moved first, and tanks began to appear, heading towards Area 39, while the Tendo Civil Police Corporation set off with his starters.

"Liantaro, where are we going this time?"

"Is it to District 39?"

"District 39?"

On the road leading to the outskirts of the city, a teenager was riding a bicycle and struggling to get there, on the back of the bicycle was a loli with an orange ponytail, the teenager was a police officer named Satomi Ryotaro from the Tendai Civil Police Company, and the loli was his starter, Bluebara Yanju.

"Yes, it seems to be some kind of mission there, I'm not sure exactly, I'll know when I get there."

Rintaro replied as he boarded the car.

"Didn't we just go back, why is there a mission again."

"It can't be helped, I just got back and Kisshou-san called me, saying that there was an urgent mission that was released by the government department, then she grabbed it so I had to choose to just go, I heard that it pays a lot, and I hid until we could eat barbecue for a month!"

Rintaro said, becoming agitated at the end of the sentence.

"What! It's a month's worth of barbecue!"

Yeonju Lori also got excited.

"Roast! Roast ah!"

The agitated Yanju Lori grabbed hold of Liantaro's clothes and tugged at them.

"Hurry up! Ryantaro! You move faster!"

"Ah! I'm trying to get faster!"

"For the roast!"

"For the roast!"

After shouting, Rintaro increased his pedaling strength and the bike immediately began to pick up speed.

"Charge!"
