The Kicked Out S-rank Appraiser Creates The Strongest Guild

Lesson 4: The Treatment of Skilled Craftsmen

"Huh, you're tired."

"Thank you very much."

When Loran finishes the interview that day and is taking a breather, the staff seconded by Lillianne will work for him.

Not only did she have the funds and work available for the guild launch, she even dropped by the staff to support her chores.

"You must be tired. In the morning alone, I can't believe we're interviewing twenty people."

"Yeah, but I can't 'appraise' without my own eyes. I have no choice."

"But that's it. Do you need Mr. Loran to bother to appraise you? Shouldn't you let yourself declare your current skills and narrow down the interviewer?

"No, you can't. Current skills don't tell us where we're going to grow or what our potential is. In the long run, you'd better hire that person in view of his future."

"Ha. Is that what it is"

"Well, it's time for an afternoon interview."

Loran looks at the list of interviewer skills he has documented.

(After all, is Arlier's "Ore Refining" the only one with more talent than Skill A?)

Loran looked again at Arlier's "Ore Refining": E A, notes.

The manufacture of 'Earthcraft' ordered from Lillianne can be handled with the skill 'Ore Refining A'.

Next week, 'Earthcraft' ore should be brought to an old atelier I bought as a base.

(Bring Arlier's 'Ore Refining' as close to a as possible by then)

Arlier was coming to his first job on the guild "The Spirit's Factory" with a sense of sadness and all that.

(For now, it's nice to have been interviewed, but I guess that way they'll do 'Ore Refining')

Earlier bitter memories at work come back to life behind Earlier's brain.

(I really want to be in charge of 'goldsmiths' though. Well, sure, 'goldsmithing' skills aren't a big deal either, but if you're going to say that, 'ore refining'...)

Although she was also in charge of 'Ore Refining' at the Alchemy Workshop (Atelier) where she had previously been hired, she was immediately fired.

(I wonder if I'll be fired right here, too. Ah)

Arlier was really depressed when he thought about it.

When Arlier came to the front of the guild's atelier, Loran was cleaning in front of the door.

"Morning, Mr. Arlier."

"Good morning,"

Arlier said cheerfully.

Though in the corner of my mind it's strange to clean it even though I'm the guild leader.

"Well, I'll have 'Ore Refining' done soon."

(Ugh. "Ore Refining" after all)

She enters the refinery as she is about to be crushed by anxiety.

"Actually, I haven't gotten the ingredients from The Guardian of the Magic Tree yet. I think it will arrive next week. So for now, I'm going to have it done from iron refining for practice."

Arlier was horrified to hear there was a period of practice.

Think you're going to get paid here until next week for now.

"Well, why don't you get started? This is where you work."

Loran led Arlier to the cauldron room.

That room, surrounded by brick walls, was already ready for refining.

The cauldron was ready for fire at any time, and iron ore was placed side by side on the desk.

"You know all the basic refining methods, don't you? Well, let's get started."

Arlier lines up the iron ore in the basin nervously with Gokuri.

It was the first 'ore refining' in a long time.

Can it be done well?

Arlier puts ten basins lined with ore in a cauldron to cover, add coal, and cast a fire magic spell.

Above the kettle door is a small window that peeks inside.

I have to figure out how the ore is inside from this slight gap to regulate the addition and subtraction of fire magic.

Arlier turned red in the cauldron, harrowed by the look of the ore, watching.

It fits just in time, if the refiner decides, the ore is removed and beaten with a hammer.

So it's all about removing the impurities and making pure metal out of the ore.

The inexperienced Arlier relies on his own account to take out the reddened ore and slap it with a hammer and go.

Iron that has been refined is submitted to the Alliance Leader.

The results of the refining by Arlier were scattered.

- 9 iron e

- 1 iron d

Iron e was useless crumb iron.

Iron D is no stranger to the fact that it is a crude barely usable product.

(Ha. That's why I told you)

Arlier nodded disappointedly expecting to be angry.

But what returned was an unexpected reaction.

"Isn't that amazing? Arlier. I can't believe I could do one iron d in the first time."

Loran said with his eyes sparkling.

"Huh?

"I can't believe I can refine Iron D anymore, even though my skill 'Ore Refining' is still E. I knew you had talent."

"Ha, ha"

Arlier simply replied vaguely, not following Loran's tension.

"Well, let's move on."

"Yes. Then, after wearing this scum iron..."

"That's fine. You just have to keep doing Ore Refining. [M] I'll take care of it."

"What? Yes"

Even then, Loran forced Arlier to continue his' ore refining 'work.

Loran went to sort out and clean up the finished iron and made her do as much 'ore refining' work as possible.

A lot of iron ore disappeared and turned into scum iron, which was placed on the shelf a lot.

Despite this, Loran kept letting her do it.

She tries to do chores with care, but Loran never lets it and did everything that ends up instead.

While she sticks to the kettle, Loran prepares the next ore for her desk, brings it from the warehouse, cleans the room and takes care of the tools, while she slaps the ore, Loran cleans the kettle, and prepares the next coal.

Thanks to this, Arlier was able to concentrate on his task of keeping an eye on the cauldron.

It was like treating a first-class craftsman.

(This has wasted so much ore. Are you all right?

Arlier keeps making it with anxiety.

In the end, I consumed 30 iron ore that day and just ended up making 3 iron D.

The same thing can continue the next day.

In time, she also began to understand the subtle changes in the shades of burning ore in the cauldron.

(Step by step......, as you've come to understand?

She came to understand the subtle shades of iron red.

I'm also getting used to Loran taking on chores.

At first it was Arlier who was concerned about the upside-down relationship, but he doesn't care anymore because Loran treats her like a skilled craftsman too commonly.

Gradually, I started to concentrate on my work.

At the end of her fifth 'refining', she had stopped looking at Loran's complexion.

And when I celebrated my tenth "refining," I finally got 9 iron Ds and 1 iron C1 to refine.

(Yay, I did)

Arlier was horrified.

Iron C would somehow sell it.

As a new American alchemist, it was a pass line.

It seemed like we could do it at this workplace for the time being.

"I did it. Mr. Loran, we could make iron C."

Arlier reported to Loran looking perfectly relieved.

But the answer back was unexpected.

"You can't do this at all."

Loran dumped Iron C in the trash.

"Huh?

"I need you to have all the ore iron a"

"And iron a..."

Arlier turns pale again.

Whatever it takes. I can't believe it's iron A.

Alchemist who can do that, is he in this city?

After that, Loran continued to put first-rate treatment and first-rate pressure on Arlier.

Regardless, Arlier was just doing 'Ore Refining'.

I could never let you do anything else.

(I've never been in a workplace where I get so much 'ore refining')

There was already an unlikely amount of ore consumed as something to put on one new American alchemist.

(Spend a little time and money concentrating on one skill. I can't believe we're wasting so much ore. Like this, unless you're even sure I have the talent for 'Ore Refining A'...... Are you serious?

Arlier keeps iron in the cauldron with his heart that he has to live up to Loran's expectations.

That's how it's been a week.

(So, done. It's done)

Arlier looks at the iron riding on the basin in a daze.

Surface gloss, color gloss.

I can tell from a glance.

It was undoubtedly just the finest iron.

There were ten iron A's on top of the basin.

"Okay. Well done. Arlier."

"Yes, thank you"

Arlier was relieved that he was finally complimented even though he was half crying.

"Well, I'll finally get you to do your request from The Guardian of the Magic Tree. In the meantime, 100 Earthcraft in a month."

Arlier almost passed out.

"Earthcraft" was a much harder metal to refine than iron or something.
