"It’s just not right, we nearly all died!" said Liu Neng of the City Defense Army, and Ma Dao, the merchant beside him, looked at Lin Fei with relief.

No matter what, Lin Fei came through in the end, and that was enough. Now he could be at ease.

Meanwhile, Little Black had already arrived at the Imperial Capital of the Ancient Ao Empire, Ancient Ao City.

In Ancient Ao City, His Highness Orleans, as the eldest prince of Aodo, naturally, after the death of King Aodo — or more accurately, his disappearance — became the Crown Prince of the nation.

Unfortunately, he made a wrong decision. Of course, it might not have been wrong to him; he had a good relationship with his fourth brother, so he was indifferent to the king’s death. But his fourth brother’s death concerned him greatly, prompting him to hastily send people to investigate, and eventually, he did find out.

However, Lin Fei had already left, leaving behind only some irrelevant people.

Since you offended the royal family, you couldn’t blame others, so he decided to execute all those confirmed to be associated with Lin Fei!

This ultimately led to today’s events.

Today, while he was attending an early morning court session, suddenly, a dragon’s roar echoed throughout the entire Imperial Capital of the Ancient Ao Empire, awakening everyone’s memories. Then, they saw a massive Black Dragon tear through the Imperial Palace, creating a huge hole, and Little Black emerged from this hole, snatching His Highness Orleans right out, and flying away with him to a distant place, leaving the place behind.

Suddenly, the Ancient Ao Empire was in complete chaos; who would’ve thought their king was taken away by a dragon? What was going on?

No one knew, but one thing was certain: they no longer had a king.

The city was in turmoil again, but within the palace, masters were abundant, ready to intercept the dragon, but unfortunately, their strength was insufficient. In the end, they could only watch as their king was taken away by that dragon.

Now, Little Black was no longer afraid of being exposed and flew towards Ancient Meng City with King Orleans. However, during the journey, Orleans calmed down and asked, "Who is supporting you in kidnapping me?!"

"Shut up and stop babbling," Little Black said, silencing the king, rendering him speechless.

Little Black took Orleans to Ancient Meng City. Seeing Ancient Meng City, King Orleans seemed to understand something, and finally, he was thrown onto a stone platform in front of a group of residents.

Many present did not recognize Orleans; they had seldom seen him. They only knew that the Ancient Ao Empire had changed its ruler, but as to who it was, not many knew.

Now, a young man was thrown onto the stage, wearing dragon robes, which reminded the crowd of what Lin Fei had recently said.

And when the executioner saw Orleans, his face turned ashen, and he ran forward, helping Orleans up, and spoke, "Your Majesty the King!"

The crowd gasped, shocked that this person was indeed the king.

Orleans stood up, glanced around, then looked towards the sky where Little Black flew down, shrank, and landed on Lin Fei’s shoulder.

"Are you the new king of the Ancient Ao Empire?" Lin Fei asked.

Orleans nodded. Since the dragon is with this young man, he must be no ordinary person. But why did he capture me and bring me here? Moreover, why does Lin Fei look so familiar?

"I am the one who killed your brother," Lin Fei said.

"What?!

Orleans was shocked, and everyone was taken aback, watching Lin Fei. Lin Fei actually admitted it? They really did not know what Lin Fei was thinking.

Lin Fei chuckled and said, "Do you want to avenge your brother?"

Despite his initial shock, Orleans regained his composure, looked at the young man in front of him, and finally shook his head, "I’m not your match."

"Indeed, so what will you do?" Lin Fei asked, looking at King Orleans.

"..." Orleans didn’t know what Lin Fei was thinking, but she knew that Lin Fei likely wouldn’t let him go easily, right?

"What do you want?" King Orleans asked.

Lin Fei chuckled, "My idea is simple. Let’s leave it at that. You know what kind of person your brother was. A person like that deserved to die. Not to mention he was just the Fourth Prince; even if you were like him, I wouldn’t hesitate to kill you."

Hearing Lin Fei’s words, everyone was astounded. This was a threat to an emperor!

But the emperor at this moment had no choice but to accept it. King Orleans acknowledged Lin Fei as not being his match, and he also understood that he truly couldn’t avenge his brother, so finally, she spoke, "Okay, I... agree with you!"

"Heh, that’s not enough," Lin Fei shook his head.

"Not enough? What else do you want?" Orleans asked.

Hearing this, Lin Fei chuckled, "I want you to hand over the governance of this city and delegate it to Gai Xiaolian for independent management. You must not interfere. Do you understand?"

Hearing Lin Fei’s words, Orleans of the Ancient Ao Empire nodded, "Understood."

Lin Fei chuckled, "Then that’s it. You’re still the king, but you also have to do something for me." Lin Fei could not ignore his rightful matters, after all, real business was important.

"Now go back to your empire and write my name on the Beast Fighting Competition list," Lin Fei said.

"But the list has already been submitted, I..."

"That’s your problem. I expect you to resolve it." Lin Fei finished speaking, no longer paying attention to Orleans, and went directly to Gai Xiaolian, and the two returned to the City Lord Mansion.

He still wasn’t at ease, so after bringing Gai Xiaolian to the City Lord Mansion, Lin Fei turned to leave.

"Lin Fei, you... are you leaving?" Gai Xiaolian asked. At this moment, he felt aggrieved that Lin Fei would leave just after meeting; this feeling was truly distressing.

Lin Fei turned back and said, "Leave? How is that possible? Don’t worry, I won’t leave." Lin Fei finished speaking, then left and headed towards where Orleans left.

Eventually, Lin Fei reached the place where Orleans had left and caught up with Orleans, who was currently under the escort of the executioner, heading towards the capital, and Lin Fei caught up, startling Orleans, causing him some anxiety.

"Lin Fei, what do you want now?"

Orleans feared that Lin Fei might change his mind and kill him, which wouldn’t be good.

Lin Fei chuckled, then tossed Orleans into a carriage, amidst everyone’s surprised gazes, then Lin Fei entered the carriage, from which Orleans’s pitiful cries were heard, making everyone wonder? If it were true, that would be too much...
