Chapter 1869 - 1874: Qilin Remains
This charge inside was a real disaster.
Lin Fei saw those things that looked like lobsters, except they were transparent. Their pincers were absolutely vicious; one pinch on Lin Fei hurt like hell. He immediately cast God Demon Binding and squeezed it into the entire space. After all, this was just a hole only about the height of a person, so once Lin Fei unleashed God Demon Binding, he completely sealed them inside, right at the mouth of the cave.
Because of that, they couldn’t attack Lin Fei anymore, nor could they keep coming out. Lin Fei looked at this bunch of little fish and shrimp. Big creatures only liked eating other big creatures, so these things clustered together, but they preferred to follow behind those big guys and survive off their leftovers.
Lin Fei understood this, but he couldn’t be bothered. What he needed to do now was get out of here. Once that mysterious big fish left, Lin Fei immediately reversed God Demon Binding, capturing in the opposite direction, wrapping this whole bunch directly into a big sphere, then swaggered out of here.
Lin Fei looked at the water world below and really hadn’t expected it to be so huge down there. But Lin Fei knew this was probably just the underground river. He kept diving down, indulging his desire to uncover hidden secrets.
If you had a flat map, you’d see one thing very clearly: the whole Qingyun Mountain could be divided into three parts. One was the mountaintop and ground surface, one was the layer of underground river water, and the last was a pitch-black hole that led straight down beneath Qingyun Mountain, like a long pipe piercing right through the underground river layer and continuing down into the deeper earth.
Lin Fei immediately swam downward. After entering this area, he noticed the water flow around his body seemed a lot warmer. Could it be because there was a volcano below?
Lin Fei didn’t know the reason, but he knew that things were finally changing down below.
He saw a Qilin lying down underneath.
And that Water Qilin even raised its head to look at him. Lin Fei’s brows furrowed slightly; he hadn’t expected the other party to discover him so quickly. But behind it there was actually a stone gate. Lin Fei was really curious what was behind that gate. What puzzled him even more was that outside the stone gate there was a pile of bones. Lin Fei didn’t know what the True Body of those bones had been, but he could feel the power emanating from that skeleton was extremely strong—definitely not some ordinary creature.
"You shouldn’t have come here. Leave, quickly." The Water Qilin suddenly sent a voice transmission to Lin Fei.
"What is this place? What’s behind the stone gate?" Lin Fei asked via voice transmission.
Hearing Lin Fei’s question, the Water Qilin shot him an unfriendly look. "I’ll say this one last time. Leave immediately, or I’ll make a move on you."
The Water Qilin seemed unwilling to see Lin Fei. After all, this was its post; Lin Fei clearly made it feel annoyed.
"Heh, you don’t have to treat me like that," Lin Fei said.
"Keep yapping and don’t blame me for being rude," the Water Qilin said.
At that, Lin Fei shrugged. "Then there’s nothing to talk about. Little Black, you talk to him."
At this moment, Little Black finally appeared. His appearance startled the Water Qilin. It hadn’t expected there to be a member of the Dragon Clan on Lin Fei. But why would a Dragon Clan member bring this brat here? Could it be the other side knew something?
"Our Qilin Clan and your Dragon Clan have always minded our own business, haven’t we? Why did you come here? To spy on the treasures of our Qilin Clan?" the Water Qilin asked.
Hearing this, Little Black chuckled. "This is a treasure of your Qilin Clan?"
"Of course."
"Then what’s in there?" Little Black asked with a grin.
The Water Qilin froze for a moment, not expecting Little Black to ask like that. But it actually didn’t know and had no idea how to answer Little Black—it really didn’t know what was inside.
"That’s none of your concern. You’d better leave early, or don’t blame me for being rude," the Water Qilin said.
Hearing that, Little Black became even more brazen. He flicked his tail and went straight above that pile of bones, saying, "This should be Qilin remains, right?"
"So what if it is?" The Water Qilin didn’t deny it.
"A Qilin died here. Don’t you think that’s a little suspicious?" Little Black laughed. After all, this was still a Qilin; for one to die here, there had to be a massive secret.
"Dragon Clan!"
The Water Qilin’s tone turned harsh. "There are some things that are not for you to touch!" it roared.
Little Black smiled. "Don’t mind it so much, don’t take it so seriously. Relax, we’re not going to do anything to you. We’re just here to join the fun. Don’t be mad."
"What do you two want?" the Water Qilin asked.
Little Black thought for a moment. "You tell us what this place is, and we’ll leave. How about it?"
Hearing that, the Water Qilin snorted coldly, got to its feet, came up to Little Black, stared at him, and said, "Why should I? Why do I have to tell you? I can kill you with ease right now!"
"Hahaha, I know you can easily kill me. Too bad you won’t," Little Black said.
"Where does your confidence come from? Aren’t you afraid I’ll kill you?" the Water Qilin asked.
"Ask yourself first if you’re not afraid of being discovered. In a place like this, are you sure that if you make a move, nothing else will happen here?" Little Black asked.
"So what if something happens? It’s your lives on the line. Doesn’t seem like I’d lose anything," the Water Qilin said.
Little Black nodded. "You’re not wrong. But if you alarm someone, do you think you can keep living here? Besides, you can’t kill us anyway."
"Where does your confidence come from? Give me one reason not to make a move," the Water Qilin said.
At this point, Little Black directly took out Lin Fei’s little turtle shell and said, "If I say this thing is indestructible, do you believe it?"
The Water Qilin looked at the turtle shell in Little Black’s hand. Even though its Cultivation was powerful, it actually couldn’t tell what grade of treasure Little Black was holding. That genuinely surprised it.
"What do you want to know?" the Water Qilin asked. It didn’t intend to keep wasting time with Lin Fei and the others.
"We want to know what’s inside that stone gate. Don’t say you don’t know. If you really don’t, I don’t believe you’d stay here guarding it," Little Black said. He simply didn’t believe this guy would linger here if there weren’t some benefit.
"I really don’t know..."
