Lin Fei knew that the old man also had a hard time, but he couldn’t help much. Apart from escaping, Lin Fei really couldn’t find any other way.

At that moment, from Qingyun Mountain, a sound echoed like a dragon’s roar, yet not quite. Lin Fei suddenly recalled what the little dragon had mentioned earlier, that there was a particularly powerful being here. Could this roar have come from it?

The mystery in his heart was immediately resolved. Lin Fei witnessed a stunning scene: a creature with a green body, resembling but not quite a horse, yet with a dragon head and scales adorned with gold patterns, incredibly beautiful, but it wasn’t a horse. After all, how could a horse have a dragon’s tail?

"What’s that?" Lin Fei asked, unsure of what kind of demon beast it was, but it seemed very advanced and formidable.

At this moment, Little Black provided the answer, speaking: "This is called a Qilin, they are also one of the more powerful demon beasts in this world."

"A Qilin? Is this truly a Qilin?!" Lin Fei was genuinely shocked; he hadn’t expected this to be a Qilin, so striking in appearance!

"To be precise, this one is a Water Qilin, which can be roughly identified from its scales. However, I can’t fathom how this Qilin ended up in Qingyun Mountain?"

"What’s the matter? From the way you speak, you recognize it?" Lin Fei asked.

"I don’t know it, but the Qilin clan is inherently rare. They are one of the five major sacred beasts, guardians of the Upper Realm, but they shouldn’t appear in a small Qingyun Mountain." Little Black said, feeling incredulous, as it defied common logic.

"Don’t worry about all that; the most important thing now is who will win between the two of them." Lin Fei said.

At this moment, the giant wolf and Water Qilin, two massive entities, were already clashing. The Water Qilin’s hoof, resembling a horse’s, trampled towards the Blood Wolf, accompanied by the sound of crashing waves, materializing a cascade of rainwater. With the fall of that hoof, the rainwater shot towards the Blood Wolf like arrows.

The Blood Wolf roared and spat a fireball at the Water Qilin.

The fireball, like molten lava, condensed in mid-air, causing the surrounding flora to wither even before reaching the Water Qilin.

Then the Water Qilin suddenly stomped madly in mid-air, and a stream resembling a water dragon flew from behind, aiming at the massive fireball, transforming the opponent’s attack into a huge stone amidst dense white smoke, finally colliding with Qingyun Mountain.

Qingyun Mountain seemed to have suffered a heavy blow, causing a noticeable tremor.

"Roar!"

The Water Qilin roared, then spat a water column, forcing the Blood Wolf to dodge hurriedly.

At that point, the Blood Wolf, evading the Water Qilin’s attack, suddenly split into two, and two White Wolves appeared in front of the Water Qilin in an instant.

After exchanging a glance, the two White Wolves attacked the Water Qilin together. Facing their pincer attack, the Water Qilin seemed unable to sustain itself.

After separating, although they were at the First Transition True Body Realm, their cooperation was so seamless. One fleeing while the other attacked, switching roles so effortlessly, left the Water Qilin struggling, especially since its scales kept shedding under the relentless flame attacks.

At this moment, a mysterious Daoist appeared again; he eyed the White Wolf below, then flew towards one of them, conjuring a peculiar sword that looked like stone but wasn’t. The sword appeared in the Daoist’s hand, infused with True Qi, and in an instant, the Sky-reaching Sword Light attacked a giant wolf.

Roar!

The giant wolf sensed the threat, immediately spraying an attack at the giant sword and sidestepped the upcoming danger, aware of the consequences if such an attack landed on him.

So the giant wolf wouldn’t let the attack land on him; he dodged at the last moment and then attacked the Daoist holding the long sword.

Meanwhile, with one less wolf, the Water Qilin, whose realm surpassed the White Wolf’s significantly, quickly crushed that White Wolf. Ultimately, its hoof stamped directly on the White Wolf’s head, forcing it downwards, crushing a swath of forest until it finally stopped.

Regarding the Daoist, facing the White Wolf’s attack, he extended his hand to block with his long sword. Fortunately, the sword’s power was substantial, shielding against the White Wolf’s attack, though it sent the Daoist flying backward amid the explosion.

Lin Fei saw the Daoist’s immense strength, feeling more reassured, but simultaneously, danger approached. Lin Fei realized that unless the other party shared his goals or was unwise, seeking their help would be extremely difficult.

Finally, after the two White Wolves were dealt with, the heavily injured White Wolf was immediately shackled by Qingyun Sect members with giant chains. Lin Fei hadn’t expected the Qingyun Sect members to be so formidable, and seeing the restraints annoyed him. But even then, what else could he do?

"Young friend, may I ask your name?" the Daoist approached Lin Fei and asked.

In his eyes, Lin Fei’s prowess was impressive, clearly a disciple of some notable faction. However, the other party seemed prepared; otherwise, why would they come to Qingyun Mountain?

Lin Fei was indeed prepared. He looked at the Daoist and replied, "Reporting to Senior, my name is Lin Fei. I came here to find Zhang Fan; he knows me."

Upon hearing Lin Fei’s words, the Daoist asked, "Zhang Fan? Why are you looking for him?"

"He and I are friends; I wish to see him." Lin Fei replied.

Upon hearing this, the Daoist nodded and said, "Since you’re Zhang Fan’s friend, then you’re a guest of Qingyun Mountain; please proceed inside."

Lin Fei nodded and then followed the Qingyun Sect Daoist into their territory.

Only then did Lin Fei realize that Qingyun Mountain contained a path leading within? Lin Fei never anticipated such a massive Qingyun Mountain to be hollow like a volcano!

Passing through the enormous halls, Lin Fei arrived at the grand hall with the Daoist, continuing further into Qingyun Mountain’s depths. Lin Fei saw layers of structures clinging to the mountain’s inner wall, offering a spectacular view.
