Chapter 1819 - 1824: The Fat Woman
"I really didn’t expect you to be so open-minded," Lin Fei said with a smile.
Hearing Lin Fei’s words, the manager smiled, shrugged, "It’s alright, I suppose. In any case, I think so. Trouble arises from the mouth, so it’s better not to blurt out recklessly."
Lin Fei nodded, "You’re right, words should not be irresponsibly spoken." Lin Fei agreed with him, after all, it was the same in the Lower Realm. As the manager said, even if there’s no connection, words spoken are often taken to heart. They get passed around, distorted in nature, and ultimately lead to misfortune!
Thus, Lin Fei believed this manager truly understood things clearly.
"As far as I know, this Fourth Prince is a lecher, right?" Lin Fei asked.
"...You never learn, do you?" The manager was at a loss, but she glanced around and smiled before saying, "You’re not wrong, everyone in the city knows it. That guy is just a lecher."
Lin Fei was speechless. The manager really was... too cute!
"Since he’s a lecher, is Jiang Ming’s situation something the Fourth Prince orchestrated? Otherwise, why would he seek out the Fourth Prince?" Lin Fei asked.
"Now that you mention it, it’s possible there’s some logic to that, but what good does it do?" The manager replied with a helpless attitude.
"How is it not useful?" Lin Fei was taken aback. The truth needs to be known. While words should not be spoken carelessly, can they truly cover up the truth?
"You underestimate the Fourth Prince’s intimidation. Besides, some things you’re too early to understand. You seem smart, how can’t you figure out this logic? Truly disappointing," the manager shook her head, lamenting Lin Fei’s foolishness.
"Don’t talk nonsense, just say what you mean. You’re really annoying," Lin Fei responded bluntly.
"Heh, don’t you know, so-called truth is meant to be buried, otherwise how would there be truth? Don’t you agree? And what is the truth? What truth? I don’t know, after all, where are we? And where is Jiang Ming now? Isn’t the outcome he faces already explained everything?" The manager said.
Hearing this, Lin Fei nodded, seeing the openness of the manager.
This is the Ancient Ao Empire, and being the capital, it’s completely under the Empire’s control without room for any issues to arise. Therefore, this matter had no suspense, the final outcome would certainly be being forgotten.
"Alright, enough talking, any more and I’ll get into trouble, and you better not get me in trouble either," the manager said.
"Why do you say that?" Lin Fei looked at the manager curiously.
"I just know you wouldn’t get me in trouble, that’s why I’m sharing this with you. I trust you won’t betray me," the manager said with a smile.
Lin Fei looked at the manager in confusion, "Why are you so confident in me?"
To this, the manager shook her head, "Just a feeling, it’s my feeling, I feel you’re not a bad person."
"Sometimes feelings can be very misleading, don’t you know?" Lin Fei asked, thinking this manager was quite impressive, relying on feelings, easily leading to trouble!
"Don’t worry, I believe in you. Let’s see if you disappoint me," the manager said.
Lin Fei nodded, "Certainly. Now it’s my turn, but next up should be Jiang Ming’s turn too." Lin Fei looked around, seeing that the numbers were dwindling, soon it would be Jiang Ming’s turn.
"Jiang Ming is up in the next round after this, so you won’t face him temporarily. I can arrange for you to meet him last," the manager said.
"You? Are you joking? What authority do you have? You lack power and rights... you’re just a gatekeeper, how could you change the order?" Lin Fei asked in shock.
"No matter what, I’m an insider. Don’t worry, you just need to trust me," the manager responded.
Hearing this, Lin Fei nodded, "Alright, since that’s the case, I’ll trust you. Let’s see how you perform," Lin Fei said, then entered the field, looking at his opponent — this time, his opponent was a woman.
This woman had a face full of pockmarks, was extremely fat, with numerous scars and wounds on her body. Definitely not someone amiable. When she saw Lin Fei, she even licked her lips and said, "Kid, you’re just my type!"
Lin Fei chuckled, "No thanks, you’re too greasy for my taste."
"Are you calling me fat?" the woman asked.
"Of course, do you think I would say you’re skinny?" Lin Fei countered, wondering if this woman was really that dumb?
Hearing Lin Fei’s words, the woman burst into laughter.
"Thanks for the compliment, that’s the best compliment I’ve ever heard!" the fat woman laughed, continuously without end, causing Lin Fei to frown, "Is there something wrong with your ears? Did I compliment you?"
"Of course!"
The fat woman said, "I love it when people call me fat, it feels like a compliment, so thanks for the ’compliment’. But since you complimented me, I ought to repay you. How about giving your life to me, so I can help you stay alive!"
Lin Fei laughed, "Truly the most venomous is a woman’s heart, you’re indeed a viper! If you want my life, see if you have the ability!"
Hearing Lin Fei’s words, the fat woman snorted coldly, then ripped open her shirt, revealing her wrinkled, fat belly.
Lin Fei then noticed that she pulled a weapon out from within those belly folds?!
A long whip, shiny and polished.
But one can imagine what kind of oil made it shiny.
"I didn’t expect you to have a weapon! But isn’t using a weapon against the rules?" Lin Fei asked.
"Rules? The rule here is to kill you. As long as I can kill you, everything is fine, don’t talk about rules," the fat woman said, swinging the long whip at Lin Fei. Lin Fei frowned, snorted coldly, and immediately retreated.
Indeed, he was retreating because Lin Fei really didn’t want to be touched by that whip, it was disgusting, actually... actually pulled out from the belly, and still shiny with oil, making Lin Fei feel that if it touched him, he’d feel entirely uncomfortable.
"Smack!"
The long whip hit the ground, immediately cracking it, enough to show the power of it.
